  1. I must agree with Nienna's comment; LGBTQ+ and issues arrising from it within Tajara Lore is incredibly important, especially since it can impact a large group of players. Mentioning it is a bare minimum expectation in my eyes, and Cylean expanding on it is a good way for those gleaming the application to understand their goals. Can you give us an example what you plan on doing with the 'Tajaran Cold War' that is seemingly heating up? I say heating up due to the recent articles about espionage and the revokation of the Citizenship Act.
  2. Hi there, thanks for applying. Besides Glorsh-Omega/Skrell History, what do you believe needs to be improved on in regards to Skrell Lore? Do you propose any adjustments/additions/reworks?
  3. Hi there, thanks for applying. I am interested in your take of the Exiles you've mentioned, and would like for you expand on them in this application. Roughly, just expanding on their Culture, Daily Life and why would a player choose it to make a character from?
  4. Hi all, alongside the format required for the application here are some prompts! 1) An essay regarding issues you perceive with Skrell Lore. 2) A newspaper arc. I am not fussy on the topic, you decide! Preferably, between 4 - 5 reasonably sized articles. 3) Sprites/Pull Requests as well as blurbs to go with them. Alongside these, I believe the blurb should include the impact it will have on the species, but also history and cultural significance. I'd prefer applicants be active within the community (discord, server), maintain good communication and finally be able to meet deadlines! We have a lot of crunching to do for Skrell Lore. Good luck, applicants!

Big thanks to Coalf and Monomyth. Insignia was added to the Federation Enforcement page.
  6. After a brief discussion, we've decided to accept this application! Welcome to the Frogs.
  7. Ah, seems I misunderstood then. You can disregard my last question. I trust you as a player, and I also really like this application. Your answers satisfied my curiosity. This application has my support.
  8. Accepted, Skroda is always accepted. I like the premise of your Skrell, however, I do have some questions. 1) How does your Skrell feel about other species? From what I can gather, they've spent nearly all of their life aboard a spacecraft - so they wouldn't have expierence with other species, if I am correct. 2) Did your Skrell attend a tertiary education centre, or have they relied soley on internships and apprenticeships aboard the spacecraft they were born? 3) Being psionically-deaf is a big thing for Skrell. How do you plan on adding this into your roleplay? 4) You mention that your Skrell primarily relies on elderly wisedom/has gained traits from the elderly. How will this affect them onboard the Aurora? Thanks for applying!
  9. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Federation_Enforcement Has been merged. Lots of differences. Also, good stuff for character creation. Big thanks to @VVipEdout - who has now crossed this off their to do list!
  10. I still like the premise, and will be speaking with the Skrell Lore Team about this.
  11. @Warbidon Whilst the prompt has promise, it already has common overlapping themes with Gadpathur (and goes against the current iteration of Skrell History). If possible, could you please update the request to reflect these. Thank you!
  12. Processed. Locking and archiving.

Very big thanks to Pan, and Jade for helping me accomplish this. There are also segments that may interest Dionae and Vaurcae. Thanks for staying tuned, everyone!
  14. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Skrell_Ethnicities Was added. Sprites are enroute to reflect this change.

  16. TZQUL CHALLENGE DELAYED INDEFINITELY 16/12/2462 Editors Note: Translated to Basic QERRBALAK - Speaking in Ploat'nil, Grand Councillor Weashbi Jrugl announced this morning the indefinite delay of the Tzqul Challenge and lamented "the tragic situation for our arts, history and identity" due to last year's events - a bitter, painful admission of the harm done to hundreds of ambitious Skrell young and old, and their efforts to restore a part of the Federation's lost past. During the Grand Councillor's broadcast, Weashbi made public the Council's future projection for the Challenge. “My fellow Citizens, it is with a heavy heart that I confirm the indefinite delay of the Tzqul Challenge until the investigation has been considered closed by our enforcement officers. The Grand Council has also agreed to increase the Security Detail surrounding the Tzqul Archives to avert any unauthorized access.” Sources confirm heightened amounts of peace officers have been put in place around Ploat'nil, a sign of relief for many of the citizens attending the event to both celebrate their proud history and grieve another year of its brutal mangling by Glorsh-Omega not yet reversing. Hundreds flock with their Quya heirlooms, compositions, lights and projectors to the city in a touching image of Skrell unity and perseverance in these trying times, and of hope for a better future. “I understand the reasoning for the decision, but it just adds to our worst nightmare; that we will never unlock the history hidden away within the Archives,” said Zrora Oqea, a Skrell attending the Ploat’nil Memorial. Various reporting teams will be making their way to the city in order to interview the thousands gathered and learn what today's events mean for Skrell society across the stars. Ink-eyed spectators publicly lament this new challenge to the Federation, another heavyweight to bear for all of us; our citizens longer wait in anticipation, but in hope that this sorrow will pass.
  17. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Skrell_Cuisine Was added. Expands on the diet of the species. Also involves the expansion of dining etiquette for the Skrell.
  18. Name: Poltergeists/Specters/Presence Short Description: Creatures that lurk in the dark (Grus) make a return in Poltergeists/Specters/Presence! Depending on the amount of players ready 1 - 2 Gru will spawn in maintenance, where they'll receive a little blurb and directives that they must accomplish whilst on the NSS Aurora. Perhaps abilities to possess (akin to a borer, but reworked). Specters are expected to create situations etc aboard the NSS Aurora. Will probably get decked out abilities and whatnot - similar to what Resilyn said in the "Aurora Gamemode Challenge". Why should we add it?: I believe it is a unique gamemode, that if done correct, can be incredibly fun. Adds into the idea of spookiness occuring on the Aurora, and getting fear RP and whatnot pumping.
  19. Personally, a -1. Those that are plagued by lowpop (Europeans) typically don't have much to play with. Removing Wizard makes the already small pool even smaller. We basically get a consistent Vamp, Wiz, Burglar or Extended. Please, don't make europeans suffer even more than they already do.
  20. Hi. So a small discussion in the Staff Discord sorta poised the questioned: what ideas could their be for gamemodes? I've gone ahead and made this so we can have a singular location, instead of people making 10+ posts about their gamemode suggestion. FORMAT: Name: Short Description: Why should we add it?: Eg. Name: Bluespace Disarray Short Description: Player controlled golems/slimes/phoron worms appear. Requires +20 people to occur. Essentially a very dangerous gamemode, and can result in bluespace fluctuations (bluespace portals suddenly opening). Why should we add it?: A gamemode that primarily focuses on chaos, destruction and death. It is a based addition, and is sure to increase roleplay. *Don't bully me, I came up with that on the spot and it isn't very good.
  21. TZQUL CHALLENGE DELAYED! 14/12/2462 Editors Note: Translated to Basic QERRBALAK - Grand Councillor Weishbi Jurgl has announced the delay of the Tzqul Challenge - a frighting confirmation of theories emerging after the Grand Councillor was supposedly tied up in meetings with the greatest minds across the Nralakk Federation for over a week - seemingly gathering additional information before their eventual decision earlier today. “I am saddened to announce the decision to delay the Tzqul Challenge; an event that has become a welcomed tradition for all Skrell, however, unforeseen circumstances that occurred a mere twelve months ago has left it vulnerable, and has prompted this decision so that the Nralakk Federation Security Forces can continue investigating the situation surrounding the Tzqul Archives.” A melancholic reminder of the events that unfolded nearly a year ago - still close to the hearts of all Skrell, who mourn for the possible loss of the Tzqul Archives; where weeks prior to the announcement today, Skrell across the Federation have travelled to join the memorial hosted in Ploat’nil. Despite early intervention by the Nralakk Federation Security Forces, it is still unknown whether the Tzqul Archives can be recovered. The Grand Councillor has announced that the Grand Council will assemble to confirm the date of rescheduling. The date is expected to be established in the coming days, leaving all on the edge of their seats. We will continue wait in anticipation, and update those that are tuned into this developing story.
  22. I was a part of the shift that had a 5/9 cult. It wasnt fun, until Yon stepped in and suggested something else. +1
  23. Oh sorry! I didn't even see this. Currently, the re-rework is in internal review (Lore Writers) and I believe that Pan and Jade have done excellent work on it. I've made some suggestions and edits myself, but overall the re-rework looks lovely. If I'm selected I don't plan on changing too much, considering the work already done.
