I will say that based on your notes in the last six months or so three separate staff members have documented in your notes that you're rude, passive aggressive or that your attitude in tickets is very poor. It also seems you have a habit based on your notes of being rude in OOC channels related to our community. It does logically follow I think that if you engaged in similar behavior here you should be removed from our community. I still need to review this latest incident.

As this is directed at a headmin i will look into this. Our strike system is configured in such a way that strikes applied to users automatically expire after a few months. So, your strike at this point should already be gone. Are you still contesting that Alberyk should not have struck you to begin with?

You said this earlier in the thread. It is not currently a policy that you lose your whitelist after a year of inactivity. So you're proposing a new policy everyone would be bound by. Your original seemed to imply you would theoretically remove the whitelist of someone "At the discretion of the whitelist team" and not just because they misbehaved or failed to adhere to a particular policy. Would you ever remove the whitelist of someone who did not break any server rules and did not break any established whitelist policies?

They passed the trial once. They should not have to prove anything to you. When would you remove the whitelist of someone based on their conduct that did not result in a ban? It seems like a lot of people in their heads have this idea that the sever "atmopshere" is changing such that a command player from a few years ago would be unable to perform their duties. I think a CMO would definitely need to re-learn medical since we switched to brainmed but every other job has stayed relatively the same. The gameplay loop has not fundamentally changed and the relevant changes to the lore can be explained to you in a paragraph. A head of security from 5 years ago would have no difficulty performing his job now. A CE could read a single paragraph on the phoron scarcity arc and understand it completely.... Its really not difficult and we are lying to ourselves if we think otherwise.

Command whitelists arent a lore check. They exist only as a commitment check. If you're the type of person who passed it once and stopped playing here for a few years there is no reason to remove it from you. Changing mechanics and standards dont matter that much.

You are already not in charge of what happens to your character. We play on a server with antagonists enabled and various spooky things that can happen. You have absolutely no say in it if that meteor decides to tear your face off. You have no say in it if the mercs bomb the vault open and you happened to be exploring maint a few tiles away and die. You cannot join a round and pick and choose what you agree to (outside of what breaks the rules). I think it is fine to prefer certain types of RP over others. I think the more willing our playerbase is to cryo/ghost out of situations they do not personally enjoy the worse our server quality is overall. There is nothing in a vampire dominate thats your entire personality disappears and you become a mindless zombie to click things horizontal. If a vampire tells you to kill joe schmoe you still have plenty of ways to go about that. You're restricted of course but you still have agency within that restriction. Ideally the vampire and player have a quick conversation in LOOC about how to ensure both people have fun. I just dont think this is a fair argument to make. We have an enormous amount of extremely offensive topics present on server, and in our lore. We have discrimination against LGBT people in certain areas of our lore, we have rounds with an extreme amount of violence and gore and it is even possible for characters to commit suicide on station. It is totally ok if you're ok with things like this but this is what is allowed on our server.

Nvm i found it. You are unbanned from the discord but there is nothing i can do about the whitelist. You will need to re-apply for command.

Unfortunately we have had a rule in place for quite some time now that states a command whitelist is removed if you receive any ban from the server. This is carried out by the people on our whitelist team so i did not even have anything to do with it. What is your discord key? No reason for you to stay banned there.

You are completely missing the point he is making. He is saying humanity is spread thing on a lot of areas without much depth to them. Meanwhile our alien races while lower in their faction and planet count have a TON of depth to them. You can be spicy without strawmanning him. Its really mean spirited to decry his leadership capabilities because of one topic in lore created by one of his lore devs coming out really bad. Why dont you phrase it in a way he can respond in good faith? Once upon a time Marlon would occasionally have his DMs filled with angry novels of players upset at this or that token of his lore. His strategy was to hire them and give them a chance to do better. I believe Marlon and I have argued over the merits of this about 1000 different times over the years. Some of these hires where brought on when I was still an Administrator and Marlon always came to me asking about their OOC behavior and note history. I shared with him what I could as well as my personal opinion on the particular player. I think Marlon definitely has a bullet to bite on this point and in fact the last time he and I talked about this I think he agrees it was a silly way to hire people.

Also, ranbee are you contesting that you did provide enough RP to your victims and thus the warning is unjust or are you saying that the warning is just but are contesting olivia's explanation to you? Either way is fine i just need to know before i can really evaluate things here.

Is this when Marlon boarded as an unathi diplomat? I was there for that and Marlon's character was smuggling state secrets or something which prompted an arrest/tasing from security. I recall this argument being about whether or not the incident was canon. Not that the fellow CCIA "ruined" marlon's event.

Our community is made up of people who have done really dumb shit once or twice over the years. I am guilty of this and so are you. If you marlon's crimes are so egregious as to keep him from a staff position thats fine but i know most of our lore-heads pretty well and i am willing to bet they will judge Marlon based on all aspects of his character.

If marlon's lore is "In the past" why do you keep bringing up the same personal slight against him every chance you get? He influenced nearly every major part of our lore. Thats fine if you dislike his lore but you cannot just handwave that as "being in the past"

Easy +1. I have never worked closely with lore but had more than a couple conversations on lore topics in DMs. In my capacity as head admin and yours as loremaster back in the day. I have always appreciated your methodology and I see it emboldened in this application.

Despite an unending cold war, Marlon and i have remained good friends since i was a mod here. I enjoy Klingon Unathi lore a great deal and Marlon is responsible for, or at least has his hand in nearly all of it. Easy +1.

I explained why i went to telecomms. I was not going to disable the radio system for the entire station. All i wanted to do was break in and pretend i stole the "black box". I thought this would be a quick in and out adventure but it turned out to be much more difficult than i originally planned. I only got to here. Getting past this part proved too difficult and time-consuming so I abandoned it and just went ahead with my 2nd plan because i thought it would generate more RP. What are you referring to when you say "exploded an elevator"? I blew up a welder tank somewhere in this position below the surface garden. I do not remember when this happened. This is over a week old now. I came on to the station with a drop pod at the arrivals security checkpoint. I heard on the security radio that they had found my drop pod so i needed a distraction for one of my plans. I either blew up the tank to get them to focus on that area while i broke into telecomms or to distract them while i went into the HoPs office. I do not remember which. I made sure nobody was around to be caught as collateral.
