  1. Honestly I am most shocked about the fact that not a single person ahelped this. This will probably just be a note.
  2. Sorry dude, my bad. Ban lifted.
  3. Completely agree and i think its also something we should consider.
  4. To what end? How does this benefit us? I think any increase in the lethality of combat is going to be a net buff to security and the crew and a net nerf to antagonists. Security and the crew have the advantage of ship resources to rely on where antagonists have to steal or capture them. Security can get healed in medical and still return to the fight, antagonists cannot. Security is overall too strong as it is. I do however think combat is too safe at this moment. You can survive for far far too long bleeding out and still get healed in medical. I am not against a more nuanced update to combat and its lethality. -1 at this time.
  5. We do not need a rule forbidding slurs. It is self-evident. Locking and archiving.
  6. Our rules are not comprehensive. Since you linked to our rules yourself I am sure you read the bit at the top that says that our rules cannot possibly cover every situation. A staff member has the ability to tell you not do something even if its not explicitly against another rule. It seems campinkiller did not even give you a warning for this so you essentially received no punishment. Seems to be a reasonable ruling to me.
  7. If the issue here is saying the word "retard" i can understand. It is an ableist slur and we generally forbid such things. For example we have not permitted "ligger" IC for years now.
  8. I have the distinct honor of counting Goolies among my friends. I have interacted with his characters on a couple of occasions and they are generally memorable.
  9. Is there a way i could do this with current tools on the server? Can i "Spawn" a ship?
  10. So, after some discussion in the staff discord it seems that your character had it clearly communicated they where on thin ice. Any further infractions would result in your employment being terminated. Sycmos is correct that periods of inactivity are not the same as periods of not receiving any infractions. Given the evidence and paper trails it seems pretty straight forward.
  11. Concuring with what @Peppermint stated, While we do attempt to take action against antagonists who do absolutely nothing all round and then toss a few grenades around at the two hour mark on the whole we are incredibly lenient about this and its very hard to even get a warning over it. The TLDR is playing antagonist is hard enough as it is and if anything the rules are too strict as they are to be conducive to a fun environment for antags to play in. More rules will not solve the issue. More administrative action will only make the problem worse. As it stands if you want to play antagonist there is pressure on you to spend out of game time coming up with some sort of gimmick. You then have to execute that gimmick without having a single person on the server become disgruntled with your play. Maybe you killed them, maybe you created an environment where they personally are not having fun or maybe they feel your gimmick is breaking the lore. All of these are technically valid reasons to ahelp someone but again, you only need to do this to a single person and now you as the antagonist have to spend time defending yourself in an ahelp regardless if you're in the right or not. It is a special kind of stress not even security players have to deal with. The pressure placed on antagonists is absurd. It is a complex problem that does not have a simple solution. I believe it is a problem that our pool of antag players is so low. Just a quick list of problems would look something like this. 1. Rules are probably too harsh. (Why do the rules put so much emphasis on others fun and not enough on my own?) 2. Mechanics of various antag jobs are hard to learn. Your first ninja round is gonna be rough. 3. Our playerbase can be a little too entitled at times. Have a single bad janitor, surgeon or even a command round and nobody really cares. Have a bad antag round and people will never forget you. 4. The antagonists fear the samurai bwoink. Its rough having a constant looming threat of a bwoink over your head. "Just dont break rules" is not a strategy that will save you. You still have to defend yourself. This is just a short list and there are probably way more such as fighting security. Start doing your nefarious scheme and suddenly an entire department is beating down your door armed with laser rifles. Grouped together with all of the previous points i completely understand players who would rather not waste their time playing antag. Its like gambling your time away with worse odds than a league of legends match.
  12. Security engaging in disallowed behavior does not meat you can do the same. It is not intended that you're able to return to your spawn area and utilize it as a base so peppermint is correct in telling you not to do this. Antags are generally not expected to leave an hour in like that regardless of the reason. You would need to obtain staff permission first to do this.
  13. Alrighty, dont do it again. Unbanned.
  14. All Diona use They/Them pronouns.

  15. Will ping arrow about this.
  16. Agreed with matt and also voting for dismissal. If crew could vent crawl its a skill everyone could consequently do and the crew being able to potentially get past every door is reaaaaaaaaaaallly strange for game balance because now every antag round would become "Ok do we have a good reason to vent-crawl yet??". No thanks.
  17. Faye discussed it in the staff discord before she took action against you. I myself concur with her judgement because the meme you posted was quite clearly against our rules and very offensive. You cant post stuff like that in our community.
  18. My opinion has not changed and i am unfortunately giving this proposal a -1. While i agree command play is better if you're in touch with the server lore and culture the rigor of these things are overstated. If you have already received a command whitelist you already have the ability to read and adapt your character to the server climate. A half hour of wiki reading and maybe a round or two can catch you up to speed extremely quickly.
  19. Was he displaying the gun in some fashion or did you only truly know he had a gun until he fired on you when you attempted to arrest him?
  20. Easy +1. Always been pleasant to work with you as head of CCIA. Look forward to reading your interview and having you on the team.
  21. Sorry man, not gonna happen. Reason being is i read the logs and your behavior was definitely over the line. I spoke with Bay's current headmin and you had a similar pattern of behavior over there. It is true that you have no history of such behavior on our server but frankly, that doesnt matter. We are not comfortable in letting you play here. Complaint closed.
  22. Looks like its @Evandorf's ban. Will need to hear from him first.
  23. -1 As others have said i just think it would put too much pressure on antagonists. We can all day long that antags should do something before X time but its just not how it works. Its really stressful playing antag and trying to not get flamed. If you have less time to try fulfill the already very tall order of playing antag you just arent going to ready up and our small antag population will get smaller.
  24. I like this way better than our current map. Right now its really awkward that the main congregating point of the bar is....in the hallway? Yeah you can use the internal booths but....nobody does that. That is a mapping problem. Its also kind of weird that conversations from the current kitchen or orders get jumbled together with orders from the bar. It creates a lot of noise and these mapping changes separate the two. +1
  25. Works for me. Appeal accepted. Looking back it looks like your first appeal was only denied due to you using it to contest the original ban and not to admit fault.
