  1. I like Chaz, and I think his abrasive manners are perfectly in line with the narrative that's been spun about the Sol Alliance, and by extension, greater humanity in general. I really think he can fill Bokaza's shoes and then some.
  2. I don't really have good justification or reason or good arguments for it, but I just think bluesec looks really good. While we had bluesec, I thought they looked awesome. EDIT: Just look at it! Beautiful!
  3. I like it. A lot of times, the suspected threats can often be confirmed right off the bat, and a lot of antagonists, myself included, like to hit and run rather than stick around and get gobbled up by sec. I think this re-branding will help, especially in cases where an antag dies off-station or otherwise leaves completely. Plus, it might encourage heads of staff to remain in their offices instead of running off to be field commanders, since future strikes by antagonists after lowering to blue would need more swipings to go back up to red.
  4. I like this suggestion.
  5. Pretty much this. But, you hardly hear about GAIA, Workers Party, and Utopian Front just because ATLAS supporters are the most loudspoken and vitriolic. It would be nice to give the other major political some exposure, but ATLAS is the only one of those four major Sol parties which really seems to leak in Tau Ceti politics. The Social Democrats and Tau Ceti Republicans typically dominate politics in the Republic of Biesel scene with ATLAS coming in as a strong third party.
  6. Common misconception, you do not have to remove a full arm to attach a hand, and you can't print only a hand. How it works is, robotics prints a full arm, and then they put the full arm on your hand and it becomes attached as a robotic hand. So, whether you want an arm or a hand, you print a robotic arm and attach to based on if you want a full arm or just a hand, no full limb amputation required.
  7. There was an announcement on the discord, the server is up but no one can connect for some reason. It's a problem with the hosting company which houses our server.
  8. Someone still has to code and sprite the armbands, but I think it'd be awesome if we could have them custom items available to most. I like to strike up debates on server.
  9. Yeah, I've often gamed my way through power outages by printing super caps and hacking into APCs. But... I'm not strictly sure if I want this or not, since it's relatively saved many a engineering-less round.
  10. Hello! I play Isiah Fraser. I like the Flacks, Lance and... the other one whose name I always forget. I think they're a good addition to the station, and they're fun to drink with in the bar. Good, fun, personalities.
  11. Dreamix made a convincing argument for me to join the anti-synth side, but I think the whole fun in is is that there is contention in the first place. If everyone was just straight-up anti-synth OOCly, then it'd just be as boring as if everyone was pro-synth. The antag contest brings a chance for the community to have self-determination in the lore, and to bring the issues of the universe to the forefront of peoples minds to encourage them to discuss and debate. I don't think Dreamix was saying "the contest is bad and you should feel bad" (though maybe he was, he seemed displeased) but I took it as more of a persuasive treatise on why siding with anti-synth factions could lead to more interesting story. I think his biggest bone to pick here is people choosing what faction to go for based on what their characters ICly would want rather than what they as a player might OOCly want, but this could be a miscalculation or non-issue since some people conflate the two and OOCly want what would be enjoyable to their IC characters. That is why it's our job to win the antag contest and put those dirty synths in their place >
  12. My view flipped after reading this. Consider me rolling with the Tup commando faction instead of the Biesel Intelligence service.
  13. Mine eyes have never beheld a greater tragedy. One day, my people will be set free.
  14. #I'mwithWer Head tail adornments would be nice for my Skrell without beautiful custom purple head cloths
  15. I'm afraid that antagonist actions on station are non-canonical, and that since this was a revolution game mode, the revolutionaries actions are counted as never having happened. The Central Command Internal Affairs Bureau can't investigate Incident Reports about antagonists or actions revolving around antagonists, though I appreciate the attempt to RP as a worker who survived through such a situation might. If you feel strongly that any out of character rules were broken, or that whitelisted command staff were acting inappropriate for their roles, feel free to file a player or character complaint in the complaints section to have the proper authorities look at it. PM me if you have any questions or concerns! Locking and archiving.
  16. I witnessed this beautiful spectacle. I was going to submit an app for this, but I didn't have screenshots
  17. You are thinking of best code. Currently, cheap lighters do not fit in cigarette packets.
  18. Excellent choice, sir. HIIIIIIIIIISSS If y'all read my fanfiction, you'd know they fuck themselves That said, how precisely will you determine if a neutral flips to a side? Is it determined by analytics such as information being collected about what factions were picked by antags? Or is it determined by reports from players? Or have I failed to read something? I suppose I'm curious about the process.
  19. Aito Kusanagi is a great science character, and strikes me completely as someone who is absolutely qualified for a head of staff job. I certainly would trust Superballs with a head of staff whitelist based on their roleplay as Aito. I don't know much OOCly about Superballs, but I've never seen them or any of their characters really get in trouble. EDIT: Oh yeah, +1
  20. He was good captain who stood up for his beliefs in the face of adversity. I admire his bravery and strength of character, he was roleplayed fantastically well.
  21. We actually had a good discussion about this maybe two weeks ago. In a single head of staff situation, whether by manifest or by death/kidnapping/incapacitation of all other heads, they can declare themselves Acting Captain. The only thing that is required to make a decision with acting captain authority is a majority of the heads of staff, HOWEVER, heads of staff are supposed be in good communication with each other about what's going on and keeping each other on the same page, so it's best to keep them informed, assuming you're not an antag and they haven't gone rogue.
