  1. Title is pretty self explainatory. IPC's have to rely on Robotics/Science for healing. As Medical has the Cyrobaths, IPC's should be permitted the same with re-chargers when upgraded for brute/burn on Cyborgs.

  11. Offense taken. Prepare to lose both your arms you chicken. Also thank you for your feedback. Concerning the lack of.. stuff.. I feel like I'd just start repeating myself if I add stuff. I'm not good at big drawn out paragraphs. If whoever takes my app into consideration wants me to elaborate more, I will. Thank you for the +1.
  12. Basic Information Byond Account: Shadow7889 Character Name(s): XR-2, Dean Stamos, Jarvi, Nathan Sloan, E-100, TSR-1 AI Name(s): NT-OS, R.E.M Discord username + tag: Macabre#9959 Age: 30 Timezone: EST ( But I work third shift so it may as well be flipped over. ) When are you on Aurora?: Anywhere between 3pm and 7am. I'm a night auditor, so I work late hours and can be online during work. Experience I've staffed for both Hypatia server and Aurora server. Senormin on the former, Mod on the latter. How long have you played SS13?: I can't even remember that this point, at least.. six to seven years now. How long have you played on Aurora: Around three to four years. I love this place. How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: A heck of a lot. Medical has changed recently and I'm trying to get a wrap around that here soon. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: As stated above, I have been a mod here before. I left due to a rather rapid turn around in my life. Have you read through the criteria thread; https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=4198 - and believe that you mark off all the criteria?: Yes, and I have. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: I'm 99% sure I haven't. Personality Funny, sarcastic, a little bit rough around the edges but professional all the same. Why do you play SS13?: SS13 provides me with a much bigger RP experience than most games can provide. On top of all this, the RP I get is mixed in with other players. It's amazing. Just wish byond wasn't such a terrible engine lol. Why do you play on Aurora?: The staff are great, the players greater. The server is HRP which is my favorite, and no two rounds will EVER be the same. Plus it's got Read. I mean, who wouldn't play on a server with her? What do moderators do?: Moderators are rule enforcers and helping hands. They assist new players, or people that need guidance. Answer questions that the wiki or forums might not have on hand and keep the flow of the server going. They deal with issues between one or more players as well. Also they take care of player complaints on the forums alongside the admin team. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: It means keeping things going. Helping out others when issues arise and helping the players on the server to continue to have fun. Why do you want to be a moderator?: I loved being a part of the staff team. Best team I've ever been a part of. I miss it greatly and want to come back to do my part and help out. Plus things have settled down to the point that I can be around much more often. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: I'm a team player, and I'm good at talking with other people and remaining friendly and professional. I know when to step back and let someone else handle something if I can't. How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: No one's perfect, but I try my best to keep a cool head. I do try to make sure my anger doesn't get the best of me when I'm playing. If it does, I know when to step back and cool off. Anything Else You Want to Add: Thanks for reading this, and Goret's a dork!
  13. The amount of RP coming from Roon, your engineering, I believe is rather low. You tend to overreact hastily. Until that improves it's going to be a -1 from me.
  14. Hello. Player of Ksol Skkosl here. Alright so, I want to start this off with my reason for my actions. I did indeed have the ok' from the Captain as well as Joe Mingle to eat the goat. For some reason, Joe had forgotten his offer of letting me eat the goat. Server logs will show that he did in fact say he'd let me have it. For those of you that don't use RIGs a lot, they are.. extremely heavy hard on your player ICly as well. You get hungry/thirsty rather fast, compared to not wearing them. ICly I saw this as a means to hunt various xenofauna around the station. All the while helping the crew out a bit by dealing with them. Went to go kill a spider for food early on, but the crew handled that already. I got to hunt a carp with the help of the AI and a Vacura officer as well. Later on in the round, we ( The merchant and I ) went down to the main level to buy a few items from a tajara, ( Menown's Nawfal ) and even hung out with Uriel Evans at the Kitchen. There I saw the goat box, which I figured had been misplaced. I was certain this was the same goat that I had been offered. So I took a crowbar off my tool belt, poped the box open, and found said goat. As I said, the RIG I was wearing did tax me a good bit, and I was rather hungry at the time, so I decided to actually eat the goat there. Come to find out, apparently either the crew didn't like the idea of me eating the goat raw, or just.. I don't know. So this skrell starts disarming me, trying to knock me over, and finally puts me on a table. Now. This is where it gets interesting. I had a fully kitted Breacher RIG on me. A diamond spear that could have just.. really done some damage, and few sets of cuffs on me for anyone that would cause too much issue on the Merchant's shuttle. ( I had plans to cuff and call the Aurora's ISD on anyone that stole from us. To avoid serious conflict. ) I could have used any one of these items to defend myself. However I was under orders to avoid hurting anyone. So instead, I decided to remove the Skrell from my area. I had tossed them out of the way of the goat and thing got.. crazy fast. Even when the ISD was called and nearly fired on me with weapons, I did not attack anyone. Server logs will show this as well. Once I was done eating the goat ( which had moved to the bar. ) I decided to leave the area so as not to further upset anyone, or get shot. I listened to the ISD when they told us to leave as well. I had reasonable actions and even confirmation that I was allowed this goat. I do not understand this ' meme ' eating term either. As I don't play Unathi, it didn't seem outside the perview of believeable RP. If I did act in any way outside of the way I was supposed to, I do apologize, and will further work on that. I am intending to strike up a whitelist with that race. And as a final piece, I find it odd that a Skrell that short, and not that powerful would think it's smart to disregard the big guy in a RIG with weapons.. And just go ahead and get violent.
  15. YES. YES. YES. YES. PLEAAAASE. J-ERT is useless and as already stated a meme. I would love to see this.
  16. Machines rule. Fleshbags drool.

  18. Hi there. I was that ERT Security Trooper that you met at Red Dock. I'm going to give my side of things from an IC perspective, best as I can. First off. I didn't threaten to hunt Jaylor down or threaten to kill them at all after they left. I told then clean up would detain them for acting so carelessly/aggressively. We got dispatched to deal with hostile crew. Most of the ISD were a problem being cultists, as well as a few that weren't ISD. I did my best to deal with any hostile element without lethals. Crew or construct. When we called evac to get the crew out, Jaylor and half an engineering team/Qm came up I think. All heavily armed. We as ERT had dealt with as many as we could. Lead was either dead or dying. I was alone on red docks too. Everyone except Jaylor and what I assumed the QM had ZERO issue disarming after I issued the order to do so. Even the CE had had enough of Jaylors nonsense. I had told Jaylor to disarm four times. He even started trying to force his way into the checkpoint. I did state at that point I was going to use lethal force on anyone who broke into the checkpoint. Engineering all had disarmed without issue. Jaylor and who I assumed to be the QM both threw insults at me and left. Server logs will show what's not accounted for. If I was overly aggressive as ERT, I do apologize. I try not to be.
  19. Pushing out promanguy. Damn word games..

  20. I mean, in a situation where the station is on fire, or like, half the crew is dead, I would feel inclined to assist. But if we're talking about ' johnmcknucklehead punched sohpiemcbonehead but one of them is screaming self defense ' they're not going to be worth responding to.
  21. +1 We need more bacta tan- Ahem. A better way to handle bringing people back. Yes, while cloning right now isn't terrible, it's rather hard to get the right medical crew rolling all the time. This punishes you for dying, without needing a specialized team to bring you around. 10/10
  22. CCIA Staff Application Basic Information Byond key:Shadow7889 Character names: Launce Jardine, Nathan Sloan, Steven Hejuk, SIERRA, and many more that aren't that wide on the spectrum. Age: 30 Timezone: EST, but I work the night shift. So I'm much more active at night. What times are you most available?: Anywhere between 3pm and 6am the following day. Experience I've been playing SS13 for what seems like ages. I was A senormin on Hypatia Server before Aurora. As staff on Hypatia, you didn't not have the luxry of having a dedicated CCIA team, like we do here. I've also staffed here on the Aurora and retired recently. How long have you played SS13?: I believe I've been playing SS13 for about.. six to seven years now. How long have you played on Aurora?: About 2 years. Likely longer. How active on the forums, discord and/or server are you? As staff I have a knack for being somewhat active on the forums. I am very active on the discord/server. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: I don't think I have. Have you ever volunteered as moderation staff for any other servers, SS13 or otherwise?: I was formerly a senormin on the Hypatia server, as stated before. Do you have any other experience that you believe would be relevant to a position in the CCIA?: I'm good at paperwork. And long paragraphs. Personality Why do you want to join the CCIA?:I did my time as a moderator here on the Aurora. OOCly it was great for a while. Unfortunately it often got in the way of my ability to enjoy RPing on the server. ICly, the CCIA by all accounts are moderators as well, keeping civility and stability on the Aurora. I would love to be able to be a part of that. What do you think are the most important qualities for a CCIA Agent to possess?: Patience. Understanding of others. The ability to understand Directives and Regulations pertaining to IC matters. What do you think the purpose of a CCIA Agent is in an ongoing round?: CCIA in game as far as I am aware are there to be a connection between the station and Odin. They help to deal with faxes, matters that the crew may need advice on. I've had to fax CCIA a few times as Command. it's good to have clear cut orders sometimes. What do you think the purpose of a CCIA Agent is outside of the server?:OOCly, you're there to help drive the rounds. You don't interfere too much, but you have a hand in some things too. How do you handle stress?:I think I'm fairly good at keeping myself stressfree! How well do you work autonomously?: I mean. I've been left alone to moderate the server before. Nothing blew up! So I think I do well enough. Additional Notes: Please don't deny me over that paper, Lancer. I'm sorry for shredding it!!
  23. +1 Love the lore behind it, and that's a dorky face any station would love. Make it so.
