How long have you been playing on Aurora?:
   Even though I joined in 2017, I had been away for a period of 2 years before returning in 2019 with an on and off activity between months. So probably 2 consistent years?

Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?
   Yes. I have received a warning on January 22nd (2020) when I had snapped and, quite literally, ran at the antag and chloral’d them with an autoinjector. I’ve learned to keep an eye on my own stress levels since then to make sure I don’t end up doing anything remotely similar to that again.

 

Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:
   Organization and helping with their respective departments, whether that help be simply teaching new players in the area or coordinating between departments over a specific threat, as well as giving more opportunities over how to proceed with a round, be the opportunities more RP oriented (proposing expeditions as a RD, organizing a blood drive as a CMO, public training scenarios as a HoS, building and-or renovating station sectors as a CE, etc) or involving antags (knowing when to escalate to EBS or evac, being a person of interest by default of having a command position, how to interpret and mediate an antag gimmick).

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:
   I’ve always had a fear that I wouldn’t be able to handle the responsibility of being a mentor and a model to other players, as the expectations and power you can have over them can either make or break their overall experience even if it was just an off-chance interaction, as well as the expectations of being knowledgeable about your chosen department and regulations and keeping your shit together during catastrophic situations.

   But as I’ve been playing, I’ve found that I do like teaching and helping people when I can. I’ll try to be more direct and active in that area, hopefully with a character that will make said situations more enjoyable for everyone involved.

Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?
   With the unraveling of Project Venator by the Stellar Corporate Conglomerate following the tumultuous growth of insurgency groups across the Reconstruction Zone, all accentuated by Nanotrasen’s falling stocks and net loss accruing across Sol Alliance space, it’s not hard to predict where profits lie. Requesting a transfer to the NSS Aurora, Yao Aaminata enters the station with a calculated easy-going demeanor. From all the memos he’s received about its sordid portfolio, it’s clearly the best environment to refine his contract into something truly stellar.

   Just as there was profit when Yao first signed into the Nanotrasen branch in Oran, there will be profit in the near future. A profit that will eclipse any previous loss.

What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?
   CMO, Consulars, and Corporate Representatives. Might also try Executive Officer as well depending how it goes when NBT is live.

Have you familiarized yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?
   As much as I could, at least. I think out of all the command roles wiki pages, the CMO is the most outdated one.

Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?
   Yes

   I am very sorry if any section feels strange or incoherent, as I have spent exponentially more time staring at the questions than I ever thought possible before managing to answer a single one.

From my long but disperse time playing in rounds with Vrows characters and interacting with them - I can say for certain that giving them a whitelist trial would be worth a shot, I would even say I'm surprised at all that they don't have one already.

Vrow is one of those players that is quietly knowledgeable, helpful, and kind to every player they meet. 
 

They do not shy away from new players, and seem to have no issue helping interns or any new player, learning role or not. 
 

I don’t feel like I need to touch on their knowledge of medical, as I’m sure it will be touched on more than once in this application. 
 

Overall, they display a fantastic understanding of how to roleplay a real, believable character. They have no issues with reaching out to new players. They know medical like the back of their hand and I have no concerns about them being able to learn the ins and outs of any other department they choose to step in to.

Played a vamp round with you, me as BUDDY.

It was a very difficult round to be the sole command member, you did very well. There were few things you could have done differently to turn the tide, but it would have been a difficult no matter what you did. 

As a command member you made sure central command was informed, the only thing you might have focused more on as CMO/aC was securing the crew in one place, maybe even instituting martial law. But that is out of scope for what a CMO is expected and what a new command member would think to do anyway. And not something BUDDY would recommend anyway. You did very well.

While the application is essentially going to be all but approved at this point, it'd be remiss of me not to still approve the application on the thread I think. Their OOC and IC conduct is stellar. Getting to grips with command takes some getting used to, though I have no doubts Vrow could.

In service of Aurora and all who play, I must be the bearer of bad news for us all, coming to stand against the application of Vrow with such ferocity that I scare myself in writing this. Approximately three days ago, as the formidable Eden Li, I was working under Chief Aaminato and during said service I was faced with the most gruesome scene I have ever seen.

As we can all see above, the ignorant Chief Aaminato decided to ignore the safety of Bones who was crushed by the office airlock and instead respond to an NTCC Odin fax during a crisis aboard the NSS Aurora. This sight alone has led me to write this review of Vrow and be the only present to cast a shadow across their record...

 

In all honesty, Vrow is a remarkable role-player as many commented above. Competent and collected, with a diverse palate of characters which are usually entirely separate in skills, attitudes, opinions, etc. During the time I have shared with Chief Aaminato, they have displayed restraint towards being one of the 'super doctors' that many see Chief Medical Officers as, contributed to management, and most importantly was aware of when to step aside and let their physicians/staff do work as necessary. My main concern with the application of Vrow was regarding the potential for this CMO to just be a Doctor Mekesatis 2.0, running chemistry but also holding the ability to direct the Infirmary. What I was happily surprised with was a competent, thought-out, and respectable character who can at the very least show any/all Command players what excellent/proper Command play should always be.

+2 for review, -1 from Bones, +1 overall.

I've played a handful of rounds with Vrow's CMO since they began their trial. I think they are a fairly good member of command as far as that goes. From what I can tell, they have been focused on keeping up communication with the rest of command throughout the round, and generally seems to have an idea of what is going on throughout the station outside of just focusing on their department. Outside of just the review of them playing as CMO, from what I've seen so far Vrow is a good roleplayer and would be a great candidate for a command whitelist. Definite +1 from me.
