Popping in to say that I think the beeping boyes should be given this, yes. At my place of work (which is an office), CPR and first aid are actually mandatory and we have employees in-house whose job is, on top of regular administrative-related things, is training new employees and refreshing current employees on a regular basis. It seems reasonable that NanoTrasen would also offer this.

Acids are used in printed circuit board construction in real life, so it's for that sweet sweet realism (tm).

I don't know much, but I know that I like this. Very unique and cool! +1

I have a couple thoughts from inside my brain sphere. Firstly, I honestly really like these sprites. Like a lot. That said, I don't think that they fit the aesthetic we currently have going on right now, but that's mostly my most basic lizard-brain reaction. Nanopaste and bonegel are too visually similar for my taste, even with the guide you provided I had trouble telling them apart. I like the shapes of the surgical tools (and gotta go with classic round blade on the bone saw personally) but I think that the dark red/brown(?) colour should be white or a blue/grey to better match medical.

I honestly love this idea, probably more than a sane bulb should. How commonly would you want to see this spawning?

GreenLightbulb's Unban Request
GreenLightbulb replied to GreenLightbulb's topic in Unban Requests Archive
Cheers! -
BYOND Key: GreenLightbulb Total Ban Length: One minute. Banning staff member's Key: skull132 Reason of Ban: "You, or another user of this computer or connection (eastgermanstasi) is banned from playing here. The ban reason is: Bad roleplay: playing an insane character who goes looking to off themselves once banned from doing their job. Also, this: Player PM from-EastGermanStasi/(Carl Adams)(?): LOL DIE" Reason for Appeal: I didn't do this. I recently attempted to log on to play and found this ban. I don't know who this is, and I'm fairly confident no one in my household plays SS13 aside from me.

Alternative map/setting suggestion
GreenLightbulb replied to Alberyk's topic in Discontinued Projects
So I may have missed it, but what if I don't have a Tajara whitelist? Do I just not play if this ever comes around or are there considerations in place for non-cats? -
So what about the already existing paramedic and EMT roles? How do you envision these lads all meshing together?

Furrycactus' Skrell Application
GreenLightbulb replied to furrycactus's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Because I'm a bad friend, I took a super long time to get around to saying anything nice about Cactus. May he forgive my arrogance. I won't claim to be any sort expert on the Skrell or anything, but I did have a good time meticulously picking apart reading through this application. I can easily vouch for Asaar and Reid being good lads, and I think Cactus has the sheer mental fortitude required to pretend to be a space frog. +1 -
This seems neato, mosquito, and I wish you the best of luck. Do you have any plans to make mechs more useful outside of combat? Making them hop up and down Z-levels could be dope and make them not completely worthless in multi-Z situations such as mining or EVA rescue, for example.

Okay, but only if they can then be used as a crude slashing weapon.

I'm GreenLightbulb and this is my favourite suggestion on the forums.

[Binned] A small, but important mining buff.
GreenLightbulb replied to DronzTheWolf's topic in Archive
You do make a fair point, but it does seem odd for miners to be included in the... Well, I don't know for certain what research actually talks about (probably tea or something). It feels weird to me to have the rokkpunchlads be in direct communication with the boys in the back room, if you know what I mean. I still love you though. -

GreenLightbulb replied to DronzTheWolf's topic in Archive
I don't really see why every single miner needs to have access to the research channel, as Jamf said it could lead to some issues. If this absolutely, positively NEEDS to happen, why not give it to the QM, the person meant to co-ordinate stuff for the cargo department? The average mad lad doesn't need to personally negotiate with your nerd boyes, that's what the toughest mad lad (QM) is for. -
The first time I played ss13 went something like:
GreenLightbulb replied to Thundy's topic in General
I arrive on-station with many lights destroyed, blood in the halls, and power failing in many areas. I take a moment to get my bearings and follow the signs to the medbay, where I begin my first ever SS13 round as a medical doctor. The only medical doctor, in fact. Long story short, it was a xeno round and I ended up hiding in a locker in virology until I had my guts turned into a hat. -
Regulations have changed. IPCs may now become a HoP or HoS without recommendation, with G2 and Bishop frames being barred entirely from HoS. Taken from https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=2981&p=93075&hilit=Dorn#p93075 IPCs may also play IAAs as well.

As far as k'ois growths go, incinerate them in the crematorium in virology. I'd assume the same goes for arms and such.

This more or less already exists with beakers, whereby you click an adjacent tile and splash the contents everywhere like a bumbling idiot. This doesn't exist for glasses? 0/10 would never use glasses again.

I don't exactly see the need to change the departmental name of chemistry. I'm also confused by the second part of your suggestion. You can already make pills in chemistry and choose their design by clicking on the pill icon in the chemmaster. Bottles design can be changed in this manner as well. As for "starting with important chems in powder form", heck no. Just make them yourself at round start. Chemists have little enough to keep them busy with as-is without removing more work from them.

AI as in make them mobs, I believe. Let the game take them over. I think it was more a misunderstanding of the intent of this suggestion.

Possible reason: The lockers have wheels on the bottom, and are only able to be moved easily when standing upright (on the wheels). Lockers are heavy as fuck, so I guess that'd make sense to me.

[Accepted] AlFalah's Command Whitelist Application
GreenLightbulb replied to Eve's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Regardless of how new they may be, Eve/Evangeline have demonstrated time and again that they really know their shit when it comes to engineering. I've also have had yet to have a bad RP interaction with them. Their borg character, E.V.E., is also a joy to be around and is super helpful. I can't speak for how Eva is in regards to her interactions with the other engineers (IE taking on a leadership role in a crisis), but whenever she's around I've noticed shit seems to work out so more often than not. I'd give this a +1 even though you bully me every day
