  1. I understand that xenobio is supposed to be a high-risk field, but isn't it also supposed to be profitable? I suggest we add more interesting and positive effects to slimes, be it by adding a way to refine the jelly or simply by adding more color slimes. Some ideas I've had for effects: Limb regeneration(Slow and painful), organ regeneration(RiDangerous, risk of organ rejection), shock generation(Just one bolt of weak lightning, like a tesla cannon that only does pain damage. Risk of backfire.), and/or weak telepathy(Temporary effect, fades in and out.)
  2. Porting over Bay's stamina system has had the unfortunate side effect of making it so pressing shift causes you to sprint. While this is useful in some situations, it's been more of a burden for people who like to examine people and things as they go through the halls. Instead of simply looking at things, now we're just randomly jolting forwards and missing what we intended to see. Not only this, but for some people who use shift+button for a macro, it can also prove disastrous. For example, I can't even use shift to sprint when I want to because on another server, I have shift+W/S/A/D to dodge roll.
  3. Maybe have it drain some stamina so it's not a 100% perfect block every time?
  4. The Aut'akh literally buried themselves in snow to ambush the crusaders who went after them. From page 4 of the Sinta Articles:
  5. That would be interesting. Too bad that, for now at least, the crafting system's pretty rigid.
  6. To cut the stock off. Like one does with the makeshift pistol, since the SMG/Machinepistol looks like a modified makeshift pistol.
  7. Carve the stock to a pistol grip, using a hatchet. Add the curved pipe/receiver to act as a barrel, screwdriver to modify the receiver to be fully automatic, starting the transition from pistol to machinepistol, then add a rod for the bolt, since it'll need something better than the basic improv receiver, then you add a pipe for the longer barrel, weld it, add another rod for the grip, weld it, then it's done.
  8. I say that we make it so that beings without blood- That being Dionae, IPCs, and Golems, cannot use blood magic. They can join cult to bolster numbers, use the weapons and talisman, but they can't use any proper magic. No runes.
  9. As long as we keep Rob Oster's guides to robustness.
  10. I don't know how this furtive RIG, one of the few NT-Brand hardsuits, got left out of the Robotics database. It does, however, make sense that NanoTrasen research divisions would have the schematics for a NanoTrasen branded ripoff. However, I understand it's powerful, so I suggest locking it's levels behind equal or greater than that human-only military/combat hardsuit. It just makes sense. However, if this is vetoed, there is another option. The black and red color scheme of the NT Breacher, it fits another of our, mm, employers. Necropolis. Now if it were a Necropolis brand Breacher knockoff, it'd make sense that NT can't produce it without some serious corporate espionage. Since they're also into weapons development, dabbling into combat RIGs would make sense, no?
  11. I still say my old suggestion of making it so humans don't have a cutoff for natural healing so they can, albeit slowly, heal from all non-organ/non-arterial damage. This doesn't include broken bones, as broken bones will still need surgery. Not making it any faster, or more efficient, just letting you slowly but surely heal over time so that even though you're heavily injured, as long as you're not actively bleeding out or dying, you will eventually recover.
  12. The problem isn't IC, it's OOC. Mostly. If you sign the waiver you're probably good to go, but the OOC rules say you have to be sane enough not to volunteer for things that'll get you hurt/killed.
  13. That implies SS13 isn't already garbage. But it's my garbage and I want to see it thrive, so I'm all for keeping it balanced if it keeps people playing.
  14. As much as I'd love a backpack for my RIG, it'd probably break the balance. Why we're worried about balance as an RP-oriented server is beyond me, but that's apparently important.
  15. Bump
  16. Time to put in for a weapons permit every round because the operational record of the Aurora includes multiple gunfights, attacks from off-station entities, and of course the murder mystery. And that's from canon events alone.
  17. So I gently rise and softly call, goodnight and joy be to you all.
  18. Maybe something for antags who use TC, is adding in the ability to get optional objectives to earn extra TC with so you can have more stuff to play with. Since the objective system is being overhauled, make it something you can request through your Antag Uplink:tm:
  19. Tazers IRL can be stopped by a simple puff jacket or a leather belt, so Geeves' update making tazers worse against armor is welcomed. I can understand not making them as shit as real tazers because future and balance.
  20. Ati is a good bean and a better roleplayer... That being said, I've interacted with them on-and-off and all of that led to a positive overall view. +1
  21. I don't know about making plates too large for bags, but making them very large in bags would definitely work. If they're too large for bags it'd be a big hassle because it'd make armor have the same disadvantage as lasers, that being that once it's used for a short time it becomes practically useless unless you leave combat to hurry up and wait.
  22. Don't they have rubber treads for this exact reason?
