  1. @Flamingo and I will take this complaint. Give us a few days at most to process it.
  2. Sorry, but two permabans is generally the cut off point. I don't really trust that you've improved enough to fit on an HRP server. Language and spelling is also very important to the environment and players' immersion, which you severely lack in and further cements my decision. This appeal is denied and more than likely all following appeals will be.
  3. I'll take this appeal. What changed from the you that got permabanned and the you now? What's the difference? You got permabanned two times. Why should we trust you?
  4. The more you talk about the item, the less it sounds like a "your character" thing and more like an "Idris" thing. I don't think items as generic as a handkerchief should be custom items. In fact, this should honestly be a loadout item.
  5. This application is denied. We've found the feedback given and observed by us to be too negative to give you a trial as it is. The issues here mainly stem from your command play being seen as too aggressive and thus from your character. I suggest leaving your zone of comfort and experimenting with different characters and personalities.
  6. This application is denied. After convening with the other whitelist managers, we've found your past history to be too extensive to consider giving you another shot at the whitelist. We don't expect this to change in the near future either.
  7. I don't really think your character Szsk would ever reasonably be promoted to a head of security. This is the same unathi that openly said multiple times to human officers that they hate humans and the same unathi who loses his cool so often that a joke about Moghes being nuked made him so mad that he tried assaulting an officer.
  8. I'll handle this application. Make sure to get feedback, etc etc.
  9. They will get a synthetic golem simple mob of sorts. Or at least, I'm pretty sure they will, unless the code there relies on some weird magical Polaris contraption that I can't port in that PR, which is not the case last time I checked.
  10. my favourite IC drama is that one time i let a vaurca fight a kataphract on station as the captain during a canon event, the vaurca ate shit, then proceeded to get injected with dex+ and die instantly, after which Security tried to arrest me for breaking a nebulous "Biesel Law", which upon questioning them about where the fuck it is on the wiki they said they would report me to the FIB instead

      Wasn't that during Unathi Christmas?

  11. I asked someone for the logs later down and I realized that the second point I made was wrong and I rushed it out without properly looking at what I was actually saying that day. I'll openly admit that I fucked up there. I'll edit my original post.
  12. I disagree. My intentions were clearly not to make fun of him, as you can even see later down the line that Hepatica backs down on what she was saying because of what I said. Because this way I cannot be accused of digging up an obscure reddit account. Not sure what you're trying to say here.
  13. This post originally noted how I wasn't making fun of Luke, but upon further review of my own posts I can't really conclude otherwise. I apologise and expect punishment for it. However, I will still keep the part of the post here that comments on how I wasn't the one that was involved in finding or posting the information at first. Here is where he was "outed", and I will censor his reddit username, because I did not even look at his reddit user page, I just took what Paradox said at face value. I will, however, note that Luke regularly posts on the SS13 subreddit with an username that is very clearly identifiable to him, so there wasn't any actual doxxing or similar - he simply posted a screenshot of himself playing Aurora on that subreddit.
  14. Cryo, and leaving the round in general, is an OOC mechanic. It's not supposed to function as an in-universe method of getting off of work. Similarly, I can't support the addition of anything that works like that because it would generate an absurd amount of plot holes in rounds, more than even cryo (e.g "why do we have to use the emergency shuttle when we can just use the departure shuttles" or "why do I have to care about what the revs are doing i can just leave lol"). Voting for dismissal.
  15. I can't really say I have seen you play and the feedback thus far is insufficient. Have you been advertising your app at all?
  16. Tossing this into the archive as it is resolved.
  17. To be entirely fair, it happened just yesterday.
  18. Jobs that require immediate communication for things like patient care or diagnosis cannot be expected to use pen and paper in those situations for... obvious reasons -- it's too slow of a method, too clunky, does not work in emergencies. PDAs are a similiar thing - they require telecomms to work, which is again, not a guarantee. Sign language is similiarly not the lingua franca of the station and people other than the mute character cannot be expected to know it. This is completely false, see: the presence of a nuke on station, an entire armory for security to use, engineering's emergency resources, every canon event in the last 4 years.
  19. This would be a problem because they'd be unable to use the equipment that is assigned to them for their usage (the voidsuit). Additionally, certain Captain responsibilities such as the nuke require going up a ladder.
  20. If a job requires you to speak then it requires you to be able to speak at every minute - this is not a guarantee that you can have if you rely on TTS devices, so they will not be considered here.
  21. A lot of what you're saying misses the fact that most of these jobs have special equipment that people with one hand simply couldn't use as well. Things like armor and disruptors, for example would be much harder to use for heads of personnel, consulars and detectives. For security specifically, being impaired is a fairly bad thing for the department as a whole. We also have to account for emergencies here. If I had my way, to be fair, neither of them would be movement impaired at all, they'd be unimpaired -- but I don't find either to be a bad compromise. Forensic technicians and janitors being movement impaired is fine, because of this: Cargo technicians being able to be impaired, however, is something I'll look into. It does seem a little weird. Good point. Will look into this. Good point. Will look into this. The reason for this is that a lot of science jobs need you to be in fairly good shape to run or otherwise carry out dangerous activities (slimes, EVA in toxins/xenoarch fall into this category) while roboticists need to lift very heavy things very often. Consider any previous rulings to be void.
  22. This appeal is denied and, more than likely, all following appeals will be as well. You have proved time and time again that you cannot be trusted to hang around Aurora. Chances are not infinite and you have burnt your last.
  23. I disagree with removing slugs from the autolathe. They could stand to be made more excessive, but a hard removal is a no-go. They're a useful tool for both antagonists and security - the latter of which needs them for some specific armors. Voting for dismissal.
