  1. Like Alberyk said, it was a very big mistake for the previous administration to not capitalize on the Relay, as it were. It's a very very big part of the server at this point, and one that should become official, in my opinion, as it'd allow us to do a lot of cool things such as events or arc side-shows (like one that's running right now). It could be said that this can happen currently because it is, and it's true, however it becomes a little iffy when moderation is done by two parallel groups with no appeal or complaint process. This also creates situations in which it's awkward to enforce the rules (and was the main reason why moderators didn't really enforce rules prior to the creation of relay mods; they were accountable to someone not in their staff structure, firstly, and secondly there was no inherent punishment structures unlike Borealis' strike system). It's bound to be a problem is the thing. Letting evident holes persist because they haven't leaked water yet isn't a good idea, especially when they may get in the way of further integration. People also seem to be assuming moderators and administrators are disinterested. I'm not sure where this comes from other than experience with moderation teams that no longer exist (the administration and moderation teams have changed dramatically since 2017, including their stances on these things) or from claims made by dubious people.
  2. That was a lot longer than 24 hours, but, archived.
  3. So, after checking the logs, there were 3 instances of using floor tiles, which we don't see as abuse considering how little people were hit overall (the amount of damage is not something someone can reasonably expect without seeing TK as it's OP and expressly not in the normal gamemode rotation for a reason). After that, Read did make an effort to not use them and chose a throwing weapon that would deal way less damage-- steel sheets. Telekinesis is an ability that's meant to be used for offensive purposes so we don't fault her for continuing to use steel sheets, as they're just about the option that does the least damage. However, admins will be warned to not give TK out without restrictions, or at all. This complaint will be archived in 24 hours.
  4. That's not a floor tile. That's a steel sheet.
  5. I'm a fan of all the new ones.
  6. @WickedCybs We've looked at the logs and the only people wounded by floor tiles were Rosa Alice, your character and then Tau'ha'nor. This is wrong. As far as we can tell from the logs you used tiles against 3 different people. The first one was Rosa, then Radic, then Tau'ha'nor. If there were any intentional misses they seem a bit weird because you hit Tau'ha'nor with the floor tiles 3 different times. It should have been very obvious at that point, or even before that the floor tiles did way too much damage with TK. Why did you only stop then, and not before?
  7. What mostly concerns me is that CCIA is a position where people burn out quickly and developer/maintainer positions require a big bit of effort and timesinking in irregular bursts, just like CCIA. You won't have trouble with splitting up your time between the two servers?
  8. see you in a month or two
  9. @BoryaTheSlayer and I will take this complaint.
  10. @Flamingo and I will handle this complaint. Give us a few days to look over the evidence.
  11. This is a fuckton of work, for reference. This is probably going to need a lot of personal willpower or a commission because it also requires the conversion of armor to datums and the rebalancing of armor in general as our values are different from Bay's, in addition to most likely also porting modular armor & adding/editing the sprites for it.
  12. How? This feature can be disabled by the player, the post-game antag list couldn't. The post-game antag list was a definite "X was played by Y", whereas this feature simply says you're playing a role, which is only ever absolute in the cases of single slot roles.
  13. Most people won't. The "majority" you're seeing here is a very tiny subsection of people who browse the forums and particularly dislike this idea.
  14. This would be pretty hard to do and far beyond the bounds of this suggestion due to how prefs work.
  15. It'd be a preference toggle that's on by default, though. You can just toggle it off.
  16. Makes sense. My advice is to also show the flaws that come with this mindset, but I won't pretend to know your character. A verdict will be given on Thursday.
  17. @niennab and @Aboshedab, the feature on Bay has a preference that disables showing the role altogether. If it were to be ported, it would come with that.
  18. I'll be taking this application. Your responses bring a question to mind: why does your existing character want to advance to a head of staff position? In your mind, why is their promotion justified?
  19. I won't be taking this application as I pushed you to make it, so instead I'll comment my support. You're a very, very capable roleplayer and a person I thoroughly enjoy playing with. I think you've got what it takes to be a head lf staff and the mindset to make it fun for others. +1
  20. You have enough good feedback to let me overlook the warnings you've received. Keep in mind that if they escalate further, your whitelist will be removed. On trial from 29DEC2020 to 5JAN2021.
