  1. Sure. You'll be trialed. I'm going to monitor your playtime closely, note. I want to see you actually play the game. On trial until 30SEP2020.
  2. I can't say I've seen you around. You'll need a bit of feedback on your app before we can move on with a trial.
  3. @ShesTrying and I will be handling this. Expect a response today or tomorrow. For the future, don't make complaint posts that are excessively long. You're not helping your case. It just makes me hate you more.
  4. I used to wear a sweater on my Nanotrasen officer over the blue uniform, but not anymore. Now it's either a tie, or accessories that wouldn't really show up on the sprite.
  5. I'll be taking this application, and I've decided to go forward with a trial up until 19SEP2020. Make sure to gather feedback on your command play.
  6. On trial until 16SEP2020. Make sure to gather regular feedback on your play as I am interested in that for this application specifically.
  7. I'll have a verdict ready for this, either tomorrow or the day after. If I don't by then, harass me on Discord.
  8. Make sure to stick by our rules and you'll be fine. Appeal accepted.
  9. As said before on coding channels I would not accept a solution that is a simple numbers swap. This is what I had in mind: ion rifles don't need only a number change because that's lazy, they need to be repurposed into disablers and disablers specifically On IPCs: 1. Add EMP damage as a damage type on organs 2. Make EMP damage be a 1-100 deal that fallsoff overtime, organs malfunction if it is present (e.g fall over, eye blurring, ...), only one organ be EMP'd at a time On energy guns: 1. Energy guns are overhauled to take charge cells that can be hotswapped a-la magazines instead of an invisible cell, think like thermal clips from Mass Effect 2. Charge cells are vulnerable to EMPs that make them not work for X amount of time dependant on EMP strength while in the gun, but NOT outside of it Charge cells are not strictly a necessary change, this can work with eguns as is
  10. are you complaining that your application was denied because it wasn't good enough? because if you read over what you said, you explain what went wrong more than once, there's no "undisclosed requirement" here, your app was just not up to par
  11. off this goes, then
  12. I don't see why not.
  13. I forget if overdoses are currently based on metabolized amout or amount in the person. If it's the former, it should be changed.
  14. I'm not going to lie, whatever good is in this is completely overshadowed by A. just how huge this is and B. how completely uninteresting it is to read, who do you actually think is going to read all of it besides you three? I tried three separate nights to read that 18 page doc and I just couldnt. It was so horrendously dull simply because 90% of that info just doesn't matter. It'll never be used. It's like spamming spoiler characters on an SCP article except you have to actually read them; it won't matter to me when I make a character but I have to read it anyway. Also Glorsh has next to no impact now. It's also dead lore. I guess it's "robot can be bad because people who make robot can be bad" now which is... well... a bit obvious isn't it? It definitely has absolutely no impact anymore, that's for sure.
  15. We have gone over the complaint and we've found out that the note is valid. However, we don't actually think you were attempting to validhunt to the degree that the note implies, which is why it'll be reworded to better match what happened. While we can see your reasoning, applying IRL logic to a game that's 440 years in the future with megacorps that can extrajudicially murder you without a second thought isn't exactly correct. Specifically regarding validation notes, it is pretty cheap to demand an antagonist show you some mock paperwork that they had no idea they should've brought, especially after a central command announcement validating their arrival. You can say that they should've done X, but at the time they had no way to know since this isn't written in the lore. It would've however been valid to doubt the IRUs based on their behaviour, for example. This will be locked in 24 hours.
  16. They still do 30 damage, that's quite a lot
  17. Not sure I like how a colored bag that you can buy at Walmart or whatever is such a high value item for your character for no reason. This feels like an item you want because it's cool, not because it has any significance to the character.
  18. what is transcribe rune? genuine question because i can't find it in the code
  19. This is a problem with no solutions. It's easy to say "It should be less X" but until someone can come up with a way to do it with a PR to match, it's going to stay as fiction in a forum thread or an angry discord rant, simply because you're going to have to swing towards one way or the other. And if we swing to the way you're saying, we'll get this kind of thread, again, but from the other side. Also, it's impossible to do something that only affects a specific scenario, Everything you change with the medical system will affect basically every situation in this game. This is why antags are handicapped by nerfs aimed at security - because every situation you can think of has an exact equivalent on the "other side", so to speak. Once I'm done with Goonchat, I'll look into testing out and making bleeding less lethal, and perhaps making laser rifles less instantly punishing, along with looking into giving antagonists a way to replenish their lost blood. Organ damage is another tough nut to crack that I haven't the slightest clue to solve, anyway. The reason I've hesitated for so long is not only burnout but also because making excessive changes all at once is kind of bad from my point of view, and awkward.
  20. Where did you get "they're banned everywhere but civilian" from?
  21. I supported before and still do support vision cones. Anything we can do to add to the paranoia of ss13 is good in my books. I also like to think of the RP you can get out of people sneaking onto you, be it to incapacitate you or just to talk to you. If used creatively, the cones can be very nice. Regarding antagonists, I wouldn't worry about them for the time being. There will need to be a period where people have to get used to it first before we can think about nerfing them. Currently people don't know how to play around the vision cones on both the defending and attacking sides, so our perception of what to change would be skewed. However, I'm not averse to reverting some security nerfs. Specifically I wouldn't mind them having maintenance access back, now that there's ways to play around them. In fact, you'd be able to surprise officers a LOT MORE than right now if they have maint access from the start.
  22. I can wholeheartedly throw my weight behind you being the next loredev, so, I'll completely endorse this app. Although being a bartender with you in game is like playing competitive esports instead of a chill experience, you're a very chill man and I have no doubts you're going to be good for the task. I know you'll be able to work with everyone in the lore team and I also know you'll do wonderfully. I'd however feel bad if I left off without asking you some questions. So, I'm going to leave one boring, but perhaps insightful one. What exactly do you think makes a good character? For instance, you mention how you like New Hai Phong, but what makes it good or unique for characters in your opinion? At the same time, do you think there are certain places that specifically lack this "spice" element? A few last things. I really really agree with your outlook on Elyra/Dominia. Dominia itself is home to a pretty bad stereotype that has been cultured by players and I hope to see you unearth it and toss it in the garbage. They desperately need more liberal options and in general a liberalization of possible character concepts.
