1. If Arrow768 doesn't have anything against this, I'm completely okay with this.
2. Policy in question, for reference: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4730#p78427
3. Applicant inactive, application archived.

5. And I will correct you. I'd have probably test merged all of the gamemodes for a month anyways. Purely because it is impossible to gauge their full impact in theory. Considering the ease with which these gamemodes can be tweaked, there's little need to get it right the first time around. Which is why theoretical feedback was not really requested. By the same token, I thoroughly expect changes to be made after the first month is up.
6. Point one, regarding reeeeverts in general. Most features are given a grace period of 1 month post implementation before a revert is even reviewed. This is to stop any and all kneejerk reactions. Now, considering that the gamemodes aren't even "live", by definition of them not being in master and playable 24/7, I will not make a decision on whether or not we'll keep or revert them until much, much later. Point two is what Chada posted. I don't think I need to echo this. Also consider that every new feature is subject to the standard reaction of, "Ooo, this is new! Let's go play this constantly!" It usually dies down after a month. Points three to five are also what Chada pointed out, his reply is actually pretty great. Point six is one which the head memes asked me to review, the potential of adding another sec officer or so into the roster. I include this here because it may help with regards to some of the issues a little. TL;DR: Reeeevert will not be viewed in earnest until 1 month post release. As is custom.
7. Shadow's buerocratic bullshit aside. This says relatively little if not anything at all about what you think they do. You say that they are cogs. Okay, but each cog has a purpose. What is it for Moderators? What do they "Moderate"? Why are they necessary, what would happen if they're removed/shattered? Beyond that. Your last application failed to pass trial. Can you run a show of self-analysis and point out why it did so, and how you've improved upon those issues so that they will not be repeated? You can also post about stuff you think you did well. Basically, compose a review of your last application process, the good and the bad, and how you've improved upon both. Since you do claim to have improved.
8. I keep confusing superiorform and sonicgotnuked. Huh, turns out you're not the same person. To make this not sound so shitty of a reply: BST mod is always a good option.
9. Joint popping is a myth, apparently. A straightjacket escape simply requires you get some slack on the thing, and that can be attained through other memes.
10. Because snowflake handling of reagents like this is bad code and bad game design.
11. There's a PR on paradise which makes straightjackets escapable but require a 10 minute delay. So basically. You will never ever fucking escape one if you're being actively guarded. But if you're forgotten about, you can BTFO eventually. We could emulate that?
12. Rendering thread invalid. The mechanic is not broken, and should be reported on Github instead. Binning.
13. Already policy that you can request nuke codes. Though I can see why making them purchasable could be beneficial. I'm torn.
14. Eh, would rather not I'm afraid :l It makes backend code completely fucking horrible to handle, and there's rarely a need to have 2 of 1 item group. It would also make it relatively unwieldy, the interface that is. Voting dismissal.
15. Sat long enough, invoking right of second dismissal. RIP thread. Anyways, no. Because no. For all of the reasons stated above. There's a neat new mechanic on Baystation that we plan on porting to give Roboticist something new to do. Though this will be post map meme unless one of the community members I discussed it with is faster than us. Locking, binning.
16. Sitting on this for a week and going to let people suffer injection timers during new map meme this weekend. Once again, let me reiterate. Current silicon policy demands that one of these mechanical restrictions be put in place, lest we start forcing silicons to participate in fearRP and related shenanigans. Which is not to be debated here but should be its own suggestion that I will then flog the head admins with. And again, if anyone has a third alternative, feel free to recommend. But the general idea is: No fear + minimal need for rational thinking/self preservation + access to (near)instastun = Whiteknighting for days with an OP piece of kit. If your suggestion doesn't change the final outcome of the above equation, then it most likely is not fit for purpose.
17. Coding it so that you can swipe anyone's ID card through the pAI and give them the same access might be a good answer. That way you can also give them nefarious access. If you get someone else's ID. In the mean time. It is completely and utterly acceptable to pick up and wipe a pAI that is not yours and is snitching on you. They are toys. Burn them if they get irritating.
18. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/2562 PR is up. Spiders will no longer create massive stacks of cocoons under dead comrades. Limbs infested with spider eggs will now take longer to burst. When they do burst, the limb is gibbed. Infested limbs will give out more warning now past a certain stage. Modified the spider event. The moderate severity one will now no longer spawn nurses, so they can't multiply. Added a major severity spider event. It spawns more spiders than the moderate severity one along with nurses.
19. Fire and Glory You're such a F&G.
20. Will ponder and may redo the PR. But soporific in borgs is dumb considering the current policy on silicons and their abilities. It is policy that silicons can intervene without fear of death in situations where a crew member's life is in danger or there's a legitimate chance of them getting the opponent down without injury to themselves. Garnascus and Shadow can correct me. This makes mechanical adjustments in lieu of this fact necessary, unless policy is altered. So they either get an injection timer, or they get sopo removed. Or some third solution that I'm open to. All to make them less effective combatants because fuck soporific hyposprays.
21. Believe it or not. Demons are more reasonable than machines randomly sprouting legs. Universe consistency is a thing worth obeying: the Veil exists and what it can do is roughly established by gameplay and reinforced by lore. (And surprisingly consistent!) We do not have a precedence for mechanical things randomly sprouting legs or doing other, similar things. The rules for mechanical items roughly mirror that of real life. Imma post my proposal, which I believe is reasonable and more believable, while still remaining dangerous and a major PITA: Alongside throwing shit, make them have a chance of electrocuting passers by. Would make them more noticeable and give a bigger incentive to fix them, specially considering that some of them (medical bay, bar, sec) lie right next to common movement routes. In addition, to some, add explodely timers. After a randomly generated amount of minutes, if not fixed, make them explode. Further incentive for engineers to fix them, once they figure out the fact that these things go boom.
22. Gonna have to be a butt here and I don't intend to flame or anything but. This is a wee bit ironic coming from you. You were given a chance to become a moderator, and have yet to screw the pooch after... 3 - 5 months of operations? So perhaps Xanny here can do the same, prove us wrong, and be a reasonable human bean as a player with minimal responsibilities. Okay, fuck, I can't be this shortly worded here. I don't mean to put you into a spot of, "Well, you're the reason we have to unban Xander here, thank you." Not my intent nor what I'm trying to say, if you ever think that. My point is. Garn and some of the other new higher admins wish to see if people can change. Specifically those who didn't outright show malicious intent, and are more a victim of.. Everything other than malicious intent! Whether or not they're right about this remains to be seen, but at present, nothing seems to have imploded as a result of this view. So maybe there are ways to view the world other than my cynicism of, "A butt is a butt will be a butt. No." Xander falls neatly into that category, and doesn't have the amazing fuckups someone like LoneTopHat (still banned, despite appeal) has. Perhaps he has matured and cooled off. Perhaps his sitiation has changed to where the shit he pulled isn't necessary anymore. Perhaps he learned his lesson. So, idno.
23. I don't think there's easily enough room there.
24. Updated the ban. You should be allowed entry now.
25. Error corrected. Locking and archiving.
