  1. Erm. No, you die from anything below 80 kPa (basically) due to pressure damage.
  2. Erm, where? Because as far as I'm aware, we don't. My lack of knowledge about this actually made coding something half a year ago into a pain. (Namely, there's no mechanic with which to pull it off, outside of switches.)
  3. Harm intent, click, point blank.
  4. Application denied, 19MAY2016. Application was originally given an extension by staff to resolve complaints raised by staff. Following a review over the last week, we found that the issues were not resolved and our decision reflects that. Here's the issue (and Delta, please actually listen instead of forwarding your giant hairball that you threw up onto the platter earlier) with Raven. Beyond the mistakes at higher level rulings, and the two complaints that senior staff managed to get him into, Raven is too raw for us to manage as a fully fledged, self-sustaining moderator. Nikov illustrated the main issues very neatly in his posts here. As it stands, the suggestion is that Ravens continue to partake in similar activities as a Duty Officer, so that he may improve his ability to communicate and resolves issues. And as further elaboration for Delta. Our process is not meant to mold moderators from nothing. It is not intense enough to accomplish this (and even then, there is a failure rate). It never was meant to be. Look at applying for moderator as you would look at applying for a job: you're expected to bring certain qualifications yourself. These are listed in the moderator criteria. We can teach you the mechanical things and help you further understand the rules as is required, but we cannot also dedicate the 2+ months required to mold an individual and his mindset. We do not have the manpower for it, we will not never have the manpower for it, as it requires a minimum of 4 staff dedicated to it, 6 to 8 recommended. This clashes with our light staff principle. Oh, and to refute the cliquey argument (I think it boiled down to: we make a decision on whether we want someone on staff or not at the start, and then let them fail or pass the trial depending on that). Unlike 90% of other trial moderators, Raven was assigned a mentor. And we even extended his trial in an attempt to give him a fairer chance. If these actions don't speak against whatever the hell you attempted to present, then please, skype me. Or DM me on discord. Whatever, you have my number. Lordraven is free to reapply as a moderator in the future, however.
  5. Application denied, 19MAY2016. Application was originally given an extension by staff to resolve complaints raised by staff. Following a review over the last week, we found that the issues were not resolved and our decision reflects that. The main points were a very crude/too official sounding mode of communication (think me 3 years back), which did not assist in de-escalating situations where it needed to, and coupled with that, the general appearance of the trial moderator being too severe in their management of issues. The applicant is free to apply whenever he wishes.
  6. Application accepted. Datberry was good, minus a loose attitude in the time off. We're confident that this can be curbed as necessary, and won't be an issue.
  7. It has now been 2 months. We're amazing with our deadlines. Minus one complaint, Tricking's trial has been fine. They've been accepted into moderatorship starting today.
  8. It's technically possible to fulfill smaller end contracts without being an antag. Though, something as high as kidnapping will require you to be an antag. You can always ahelp to be an antag, and I'll be fixing autotraitor shortly, which means more chance to be traitor for everyone.
  9. Sure you didn't, bud :^)
  10. Done, ban lifted, and complaint marked as resolved then. No need for appeal, as this basically served as one. As I said, the policy is there and has been there for a butt long time. Generally speaking, these permabans are way easier to appeal than ones issued for other reasons, as all we ask for is communication and to gain a uniform understanding of the issue that was originally discussed. Since we now have that, the ban has served it's purpose and we can go on having ourselves a merry time in the deathtrap of SS13.
  11. Seen that specific thing happen on a ling round as well. Usually, the way admins deal with strategies like that is through OOC moderation, instead of gimping mechanics. If N2O deathtraps in telescience become common, then we'll start ruling them as gank. (Which one could argue that they kinda already are, but passes are given for initial brilliance and the need to know where the target is at the exact moment of teleportation. Ergo: reconnaissance and through that, RP.)
  12. Specific link to the reply in question: http://www.byond.com/forum/?post=1929878&page=2#comment17192688 I'll slap the admins who have been reporting this in the back of the head with it.
  13. Actually, these already exist as traitor items. Both of them. There's a bit of a bug with the radio UI, but I know what it is and I know how to fix it.
  14. Bluespace can actually "leak" into reality. In the proper dimension, it looks like a blue blob.
  15. Generally speaking, we do get onto people's case if they are stabbing themselves repeatedly with a pen. Even moreso if you're trapped in solitary confinement or in the brig, as in most cases, people tend to look for ways to off themselves there, or to simply faff about. Logging mid contact with an admin generally makes us move for an immediate permaban, as we consider the issue unresolved and force you to appeal outright in order to actually resolve the matter. Continuing with the stabbing oneself to get medical to notice them. It's kind of not really preferred, as everyone and their mum would attempt that in order to get attention in the brig. Regarding your notes. You have a good 5 over the last 30 days regarding violations of core rules. Surprisingly, two three of them about the same issue: EOR grief (I'm surprised you weren't 3 day banned for that). And most of them can also be summed up with bad escalation of conflict. At which point, we will have to draw the line somewhere, when it comes to continual bad roleplay in one form or another. The adminlogs down below, from both your talks with Alb and Jenna. The last line by Jenna is dumb, and should have been worded better. I'll get Alberyk to post on the player complaint you filed, and to also offer insight on the matter. Beyond that, I'll have a quick chat with the other admins can get back to you.
  16. Accepted into development staff. Ingame powers will be assigned after a month or so of review.
  17. As with Akrilla, accepted into development staff. Ingame powers will be assigned after a month or so of review.
  18. I would like to know on which merit this was considered an IC issue, as opposed to an OOC one.
  19. A few points of note. Once you reach 100 damage total, you start sustaining OXYLOSS automatically. This is to simulate your organism failing to handle the strain, and effectively dying. Second, all organs fail pretty damned violently right now. It'd be a little odd if the heart took 5 to 20 minutes, while the rest still pretty much ded you immediately. As far as heart surgery and organ replacement surgery was concerned, we used to have this thing: https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora/pull/75 It pretty much enabled you to stop all organ processing for the mob, and go rooting around with their insides (to even enable brain swaps without one of the patients dying).
  20. Also, I'm going to wait until like, next week for this. When we're on BYOND 510 and have regex support natively from DM. This will make coding a parser like this so much easier, as I can just look for specific groups and replace them.
  21. Literally this. Saying you're busy with something, or that you're busy, is fine. But responding in the manner that you did, Jenn, leaves the player confused and disgruntled. Taunting like that only really works whenever you actually carry out the requested act as well, thus playing off on the mixed signals sent (actions invalidating words).
  22. Xander: I think there should be a certain finality to being a vampire. Any cures should be rumor or unconfirmed gossip. As far as diablerie goes, I'm going to keep thinking on it. Buuut I won't stall the update push because of it. Same with future powers. Otherwise it'll be worked on forever and ever. (Same with potential cult integration.) Most bugs and issues found in runtime testing were fixed (surprisingly fewer than I expected). Initial implementation Soon - 1. Also, Nanako. Only bloodbags will give vampires blood. A vampire already gains only 10 units per every 25 units drained from a living victim (5 from a dead one), so the amounts contained in any food items will be in the decimals.
  23. Currently occupied with work. Will get around to this no later than Saturday, 14MAY2016. Apologies for the delay.

  25. Mkay, I have most everything I need. And slightly more. Let's start from the top. Hive claiming that this was not a mission to get the RD is slightly false. At roughly the same time he says he's going to rescue Sunny, he also says that he's going get the RD: [23:51:10]SAY: G'wir Sym'udiad/Hivefleetchicken : He's gonna' deal with the RrrD. [23:51:27]SAY: G'wir Sym'udiad/Hivefleetchicken : Time to deal with the RrrD. This is roughly 4 minutes before he arrests the RD, while he's going after Sunny. Previously in the round, he also made multiple statements about getting the RD. To say that he stumbled over the RD in the process of a rescue would basically be a half-truth. However. Given the circumstances of the round, the administrators believe that this course of action was acceptable. Self-antagging is the act of undertaking antagonistic action without believable in-round justification. Being an antagonist simply exists as a tool for getting a major head start on that required justification. It is not the undertaking of antagonistic action as a non-antagonist. I'll take an admin and talk to Killerhurtz about how the issue was managed gameside. I'll report back once I've done so. This will take roughly 48 hours, due to me having work the next 2 days.
