Hey hey people, Tbear here. So what happened is pretty simple. We got an ahelp about Nikov's character saying something ICly which, obviously, didn't belong in IC chat. I took the ahelp, scrolled up to look at the chat and then I PMed him about it, and asked him not to do it again. The note was added so other staff could see the basics of what happened, if it ever becomes a problem again, because as you said it did break the rules, despite being minor. As for not scrolling up or playing favorites, I'm sorry it feels that way, but that isn't what was happening. My byond was screwed up and my chat box was being glitchy, so I scrolled up far enough to make sure he said it, and then I PMed him. I didn't go out of my way to look for context, because I was only searching for the one log that was reported in the ahelp. Like I told you in discord, my byond was glitchy and I had logs going by very quickly, so a couple of seconds apart might have been 15 or 20 messages before what he said.

The application is following the wrong format, you should use the alien whitelist format here. Also, an IPC (or a human, for that matter) can't specialize in four jobs. At most, a character should have two jobs that are related.

I've seen George around a few times, but I haven't interacted with you enough to really form an opinion. I think you're gonna need to rewrite your section about Tau Ceti lore. It really doesn't relate to Tau Ceti an awful lot, it's mostly about xeno's, Sol, and Mars. I'd also like to hear more about your plans for playing HoS. How will you reduce validhunting, and how are you going to change the attitude of security more towards protecting crew, rather than being heroes as you mentioned? Additionally, what sort of realistic tactics will you use, and how are you going to use them, without giving the feeling of micromanagement or reducing the department's effectiveness?

I'm not against lifting the ban, but I would like to know why you disconnected before I do. For reference, the ticket began with you asking if a staff member could vouch for your ban appeal, and I said it was unlikely, due to you having hardly any playtime. Since I already had the ticket open with you, I went ahead and tried to start a conversation about jobhopping, since the WI showed that you had been, and you disconnected a few seconds later.

I recently played a round with you, and I don't think I can support the application. There's nothing wrong with you or the way you played, but it felt like you were very new, and not ready to be a CE yet. So I'll go ahead and give you a -1, though I do hope you'll stick with the server and apply at a later time.

If you don't think anyone in security would like it enough to do it when given the option, is it really something we want to add in without giving them alternatives? There wouldn't even need to be a HoS to organize it. Some officers could stay where they want, while others could do what they want outside of department. Everyone's happy that way.

I think the best way to do this would be to start officers as standard, non-department officers and let the HoS decide who goes where. Instead of forcing a different playstyle on people, just give them an opportunity to try it out. Add in the offices, and let people decide what they like more.

@Garnascus After thinking about this some more, and seeing what Stev said, I'd say that's a fair ruling.

Alright, the reason I applied the warning wasn't really because you got the saw, which allowed the traitor to cut open the corpse. That was the logical move, and I won't deny that. The warning was applied because your character seemed completely okay with the corpse being sawed apart, with absolutely no remorse or disgust. A normal, sane person would probably feel disgusted or guilty for playing a part in the defiling of the corpse, even if they absolutely had to.

Alright, so, this complaint is pretty much redundant. It was already handled in round, so there really isn't a need to post here. I guess I'll just let another staff member archive this?
