  1. A ninja exploded one round. They exposed one astroid turf to the hall. It vented the entire central hallway and then some within a second.

Can we stop lying to ourselves and say this is good game design.

  2. Despite that being a fucking meme, for some reason we have players and developers justifying that as intended behavior and balanced/fun gameplay. It's currently the stupidest thing on the server right now and honestly I question whether or not these players have actually ever dealt with a breach like this with the new brainmed.
  3. That seems fair. The only reason I appealed is because notes mean something. I don't think an admin can look at this note and say that I'm one to cause shit.
  4. I suppose agree with the ruling as long as the note fully reflects my intentions. I didn't discuss the orders with the Malf because I genuinely thought they were a new, and they were being hostile towards me. To me it was a player who didn't really have a plan in mind and it was a player who wanted me to kill everyone in departures. It was wrong of me to assume that, but I don't think you can blame me for doing so.
  5. Let's all just take a step back for a second. Marlon Phoenix was not involved in the situation. Their name wasn't mentioned by me, that I fucking know because: 1. I didn't want to mention their name because I had no reason to mention their name. The situation regarding us was being handled by another administrator. 2. I respected their privacy, like I'm respecting the other person's privacy, so I had no reason to mention them by name because it was the behavior that was the issue. 3. I recall being taken aback because of Alb's remarks regarding sexist behavior because they weren't relevant to the discussion and that they talked about an ahelp in deadchat that happened in another round. Marlon Phoenix, if you felt disturbed or uncomfortable about my remarks in OOC, then I actually apologize for making you disturbed or uncomfortable. This goes towards anyone who felt discomfort regarding my remarks and shouldn't be something said in OOC. I, and the other person who said that I should go masturbate, was trying to lighten the mood because a big argument happened beforehand that left people upset.
  6. The conversation was far more about it but the focus in this complaint was about the LOOC incident. To say that jackboot is involved in this is a massive fucking stretch because A.) They weren't even there, and B.) I'm 99% sure you were the one who brought up jackboot because I was taken aback by your remarks about sexism because they weren't even relevant to the conversation in deadchat. The reason why the "only post if you're involved" rule exists is to prevent someone like Jackboot from going into the thread and posting things that have nothing to do with the complaint for the sake of shit flinging. Even if you ignore the cropped screenshot and pretended that I just claimed in OOC that I jacked off without anyone speaking, that doesn't make me wrong, that just makes me a hypocrite. And even then I apologized for my remarks to the admin and I'm pretty sure in OOC while this other person goes "sadhiss."
  7. This complaint isn't about you. This complaint is about the looc behavior of someone else. I legitimately don't understand why you're posting here other than for malicious purposes. There are several things wrong with your post. 1. You're cropping a lot of missing context to that. Someone told me to go masturbate, so I said this, jokingly, in response. This isn't me saying this out of the blue as you're trying to frame. 2. An admin dealt with this. They bwoinked and noted me and told me not to do it again. Given that I don't have a history of making these sort of jokes, and they know it was in jest, they didn't feel anything other than a note was needed. I apologized for the remark, and admitted there was something wrong with it. 3. There is a huge difference between making a joke at my own expense than doing what was done above. 4. You're not involved. This is about the LOOC remark.
  8. I sent the uncensored one to Paradox. It isn't harassment; I'm not accusing you of enabling harassment, but rather just "bad behavior." as I said in the OP. It is bad behavior for strangers to tell people in LOOC to they want to give your character "tummy rubs". I think you and Prate are enabling it by allowing it to happen and giving, what I think, are some pretty bad justifications for it.
  9. I messaged Paradox about it, as you can see in the OP.
  10. BYOND Key: BurgerBB Staff BYOND Key: Pratepresidenten, Alberyk Game ID: b45-dgBc Reason for complaint: Enabling bad behavior. Evidence/logs/etc: See below. Additional remarks: Lets keep this short since really the evidence is all you need to see. A player said something pretty creepy to me in LOOC, as seen below. I didn't ahelp it at the time, and I thought "Yeah don't say that." was enough. They never did anything like that again, but I shared the image in a public SS13 Coding channel because during there was a lot of weird stuff going on in other servers of a similar magnitude and personally I've had a rough week with behavior from Unathi players so I decided to share. Skull noticed the image and commented on it. I lied to skull saying that I ahelped it. I didn't ahelp it or altered an admin, but I decided to think on what skull said. I determined that it would be best to actually report it considering admins tend to make fun of players for not ahelping things. I reported it to ParadoxSpace on January 30th, 2019 and he said it wasn't really worth dealing with, but he told admins anyways. I haven't' really heard from him since then about it so I assumed that it wasn't an issue. Today there was a conversation in deadchat started by me when I commented on unathi uniforms being skimpier than Skyrim bikini armor. It was a semi-productive conversation as good points were brought up, such as them violating uniform regulations, and that other erp-centric focused severs don't have outfits this revealing. and it eventually lead to me posting the censored image again when Alb started to say some pretty weird shit about how "not everyone is out to get you" and "don't play female unathi if you don't want to be treated like one" despite that being absolutely completely irrelevant to anything I'm saying. I forgot to screenshot that part, but I did screenshot this part which including a moderator saying that the behavior wasn't creepy, but instead cute, and alb not being helpful. Like I'm going to be completely honest here. I feel like an actual fucking loser for posting this. I am legitimately questioning my sanity as I am writing this because I am being told that I should be okay with a complete stranger on the internet, who've I've had no conversation OOC with and little conversation ICly with, saying they want to give my character "tummy rubs". I am being told that I should "separate ic from ooc" despite the conversation being in LOOC and not IC. My characters aren't me, I don't feel violated for someone wanting to give me tummy rubs. I don't give a shit about what happens to them which is why I play them wildly. Like just consider for a moment how bitter and hostile I am OOCly and then consider how they're not that ICly. I am not them, but I still think it's extremely reasonable for me to be uncomfortable for someone to say this sort of shit and even more so for staff to justify it and somehow claim that it's cute. I am not making this complaint because I am a victim, I am making this complaint because this shouldn't be acceptable behavior. It shouldn't be acceptable behavior to justify this either as an administrator.
  11. the 5.56 weapon ERT get is a fucking meme. it's a 10 round capacity rifle. in 5.56 calibre
  12. We probably shouldn't have "toxicity witchhunts" to get players that people don't like perma'd from the server. Never in the history of internet communities has this worked out well.

except who is the arbiter of that

I've reported people who been harrassing me for a month because they didn't like me and the response I got from admins that "It's not against the rules to bait."

I reported a dude who said something extremely sexual and extremely creepy in looc about my character and the response I got from a moderator is "It's not against the rules to be cringe."

I mean there were staff members here that caused a lot of issues for devs and players and they were never dealt with. They all left on their own free will after declaring the server was trash.

  13. I was going to do this, but there are performance issues for transfering air between z-levels. And there is still the issue of places breaching without actually seeing the breach as players cannot really look up.
  14. It 100% is. I've never experienced behavior like this before on Aurora, and I have never seen them behave this way to anyone else, but this isn't about me, this is how they'd behave as command. Command are expected to solve problems and have a relatively calm state of mind when it comes to handling situations. Jackboot was told icly and oocly that their behavior wasn't appreciated, claimed that wasn't their problem and said they'd ignore me anyways, then proceed to play high school drama and go "I'm ignoring you. Can't you see I'm ignoring you?!" whenever I tried to get involved. This isn't me bringing up drama, this is an actual tangible and reasonable concern I have about how they'd handle situations ICly and OOCly as command. I mean here they're taking me saying "I find your behavior creepy and sexist and I'd like you to please stop." and "I wish you'd stop telling me that you're ignoring me." as "You called me a creepy sex pervert for interacting with you as a unathi with the micro-aggressions and now that I'm trying to avoid interacting with you it's also bad. I cannot do both, because I cannot treat Bar Shaleez any different from other female characters when I play conservative unathi."
  15. I would like to interject here and say that Zuul is extremely hostile to Shaleez and fits all three of these words simply because they're a female. You did and said some pretty concerning shit OOCly and ICly that I've seen better behavior from Citadel from and you were "dealt with" administratively by voluntarily saying that there wouldn't be more interaction. I thought you were talking about just the sexism part but it turns out you decided to pull some shit that you'd think you'd see on Mean Girls. This is just from one round. You've done it on another round when you jumped in a conversation I was having with someone else I was hoping to make new friends with, and dragged the person away while talking without any prompt or reason. Thankfully they came back after and they gave me their name. This isn't something I'd want to see someone do with a command whitelist.

  17. Yeah that's easy to implement if that's what you're concerned about. The semi-recent tweaks to air have made even 1 ninja exploding a burden to everyone involved.
  18. I mean at the time the ninjas weren't as powerful as they are now. Ninjas are absolutely invulnerable and any powergaming sec are extremely reluctant to kill them because of their explosive chip. Maybe a ninja nerf is needed. It is one of the only antags, next to wizard lich, that is hard to kill when they get out of hand.
  19. The original plan for making ninja a better gamemode is that there are 3 ninjas instead of 1. For reasons I do not know (which are probably reasonable but still), it was instead just made two. I think that ninja would benefit better from having a maximum of 3 ninjas instead of two. Having two ninjas just encourages 1v1s, and even then, 2 ninjas is usually not enough to interact with crew.
  20. As AI, on quiet rounds, I've noticed that security players tend to not really want to charge crewmembers for anything. If a fight breaks out that involves blood, security just label it as a petty misunderstanding and don't bother arresting anyone. If a crewmember is caught stealing items from other crew or departments, they just give them a warning and tell them not to do it again. If a crewmember is caught trespassing in medical and refuses to leave for 5 minutes, security just shows up, tells them to get out and doesn't bother doing anything. If a crewmember was reported stealing 500u of acid from the science chem dispenser, security doesn't care to investigate. I have personally witnessed security take 1 hour to arrest a scientist who was feeding kois to monkey and releasing them to the crew. When I was a warden, I would have to be the one to say "Hey uhhhhhhh how come we're not charging this person for stealing medicine from medical???" and issue an arrest warrant. I've personally been in a situation where I got in a fight with another crewmember involving blood and weapons, and security didn't bother to charge anyone because they didn't know who started it first despite standing in a pool of my own blood with the weapon used to assault me next to them. Security, however, are quick to rush towards anyone who is armed with a weapon. Security are extremely quick to detain/arrest any intruder on the station regardless if they're hostile or not. Security are extremely quick to chase people who teleport or move really fast. This means either one of two things: 1.) Security are the valid hunters we all know and love, and if there isn't any great combat or prize to be won, they don't give a shit. 2.) They feel bad for crew and don't want to put a security record on their record. 3.) Security don't like processing people. I'm more inclined to believe that #3 is the case but honestly deep down inside me, I think it's #1. You can't really fix #1 because it's extremely fucking easy to create doubt. Maybe shitsec doesn't want to be seen as shitsec so they've gone so far away from immediately arresting people for breaking regulations, they've wrapped around back to shitsec. I think the solution here is to make processing better but honestly I don't even know if processing is the problem here.
  21. Forced antag drafting seems to be testmerged again. Can't wait for 2 out of 3 of the cultists to cryo because they never asked for this.

  22. Most of these ideas are bad. AI tracking should remain untouched and instead there should be ways for players, non-antag and antag, to cover their face easier. I mean, maintenance was supposed to do this but you guys don't like giving maintenance to anyone.
  23. Even when the service works, it does not work for telecoms.
  24. These threads pop up every year. If people wanted 4 hour rounds they'd vote continue, but they usually vote to extend. I would be fine with 4 minimum hour rounds if the antags were actually good, but they're not. A 2 hour minimum round is fine.
