  1. Just have it's hits set the battery to the point whete you end up on the 30-second emergency power mode. It's a full 30 second stun. It's battery related. Let it happen.
  2. I don't think I've ever seen someone in a cloak and not alreay immediately knew what department they come from. Regardless, I guess I don't see why they were added to begin with. I can see wearing a jacket on your shoulders, but er.....where does.....the....whomade these cloaks ICly and why?
  3. I really can't believe I'm about to argue against this, but.... The ion is used for: -Anti-hardsuit -Anti-mech -Anti-Ipc -Anti-people-with-mechanical-limbs -shutting down lasers -PROVIDING RAPID RESPONSE TO SYNTHETIC OR ELECTRONIC THREATS IM GENERAL. The primary concerns seem to be getting shut-down in rounds where you'd have not been if sec didn't have the Ion rifle in the first place. As memey as it may sound, one needs to get good or suck it up. We all know the many metric fucktons of salt Noir caused when they were antag or going against them. We really don't need rounds that end up having a decent player robust a bunch of unrobust sec officers only for people to swarm the forums with "nurf ipc they bad." Learn from the past. A glaring wekness is very important.
  4. I can't support this in the slightest. What's the idea of removing the one singular ION sec has going to do? This seems like well intentioned, very poorly thought-out 'balancong,' in wich you just proceed to screw sec over. Most of the antags that sec encounters will at least be able to tell what's going on in cargo. The only thing this does is give sec a much harder time reacting to sidden mercs, or ninjas, or wizards. God forbid this shitty armory appear on *crossfire.* Hell, a well-armed and intelligent traitor can get sec to disarm with a single hostage. What's sec supposed to do when they order guns and die before they ever see them?
  5. You know what you're doing, then. Good. +1.
  6. Why didn't the wealthy eridanian just by a bishop frame?
  7. I've seen emagged drones get yeeted off the planet on numerous occasions. I think that if the drone is emagged, it should gain at least standard borg-level ability to recognise what's going on. That means it follows the same rules as borgs do (I've been warned for killing people as a cyborg wordlessly), and thus will at least have to give ERT/people a chance to react. Removing the plasma cutter entirely seems like too much.
  8. And here I thought bishop made....bishop frames. I was pretty sure that most baselines were manufactured by haphaestus.
  9. These chems are.....strange. I love them. Make them exist or I will not be pleased.
  10. My idea was that since her life was....decidedly regular until she up and ran off, the shadow of the past would still linger in ways that'd easily paint her as a hypocrite. She may say nothing's wrong with mechanical limbs, but you won't see her accepting them on herself. She may claim that the religious hubub around artificial intelligence is just mindless chatter, but you won't find her alone with an IPC, or taunting the acestors, or outright revoking her own beleifs. She may have distanced herself from religion, but distance is not detachment. One does not do a complete 180 in the span of a second. This is more like a.....120. This probably isn't anything to really consider, but I like to have my whitelist have some strange thing about them, and then make a more traditional character later.
  11. What nice feedback. Perhaps I shall make them an azure guwan who hates attention.
  12. I think it's fine.
  13. I spoke with Bygone and found his primary concerns to be with whether or not the character could still be Shift+Clicked to check for damage. After confirming it could, he said he'd edit his response. Nudge nudge, Bygone.
  14. That's not how that works. That's just. Not hownthat works at all. If someone has the money, they can get a prothstetic. Every prothstetic is sized and customized to match the individual they're connected to. Thisnis no different. It's just weird and it's on a walking tree. Zeng Hu and NT are both candidates of something along these lines, or even some unnamed provider on beisel. Forcing someone to take drawbacks is also a bit over the top imo.
  15. Ever interaction I've had with RobotiCat (usually as either Aegis or COFFFIN) has been good. Please make him RD. Please.
  16. Since I'm horrible and I follow trends, here's feedback for that one weird sec G2. My first character to require a whitelist. My most played character to date, methinks. Whatchu guys think of him?
  17. Here is a clarification. I meant speech to text. Apologies, I assumed the terms were interchangeable. Anyways. This is not an aissue worth changing code over. Some people see it as similar to code changes, where it's kind of up in the air wether it is a broadcast or a notification. Some people take it to be an announcement. It's nonsensical to change around code for something that already works perfectly well in the sense of the game.
  18. It is general assumed that it can both be typed in and imputted through TTS. Nothing needs to be changed.
  19. Uuuuuh -1 geeves once said
  20. I could support this for stuff like merc guns and anything with a straight mag.
  21. BYOND Key: itanimulli Character Names: Sovereign Aegis, Mars hall, Kardora Ma, Mumbee Wembit, Decisive Resolve Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): R e d. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: No. I don't read. I just absorb. Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: This motivation is a bit different from my other app, which is being interested in a species as a whole. Now, I've found myself interested in how an individual can deviate from the norm without being outright ridiculous. Forgive me if you've heard anything that's going to be in this application before. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Unathi imo, are in a particular predicament in this respect, because it's all about attitude and behavior. They act, as a whole, a bit more psychologically (and with a physical build so superior, rightfully so) aggressive than humans. However, they're also basically feudal japan in space except everyone is a monitor lizard. Just like one of my animes. To put this in a much more serious term: They're relatable to humans, but not exactly human. They have very strict moral codes, very strict social rules, are very very very warlike, and also give more in the way of body-language than a human. I like the way they interact with others; half the time, they're not going to be particularly petty, but challenge one's honor and reap what you sow. Character Name: Kozmodi Guwan Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs 'A black sheep. A pariah. Outcast. We use Guwan to mark those who shame us. And if my way of life is a shame, my enlightened state is what it is, I shall gladly take it. Three of my kin slaughtered. For what? A failed marriage? Could it be that sometimes, two individuals do not fit? The day my bother died was the day I became disillusioned. I'm not even sure what he did wrong, but I'll live this life in honor of him, regardless of what others may think. I fled the moment I could. Living on Ouere could only last so long, in my eyes. We may have made progress in technology, but our minds remain gated behind religious locks. Only a few of us have chains that rust enough to break free. I am one of those. I will live in Beisel. Sol reminds me too much of Moghean clans. To many strong opinions. Become Guwandi for losing a fight? Ritualistic suicide, arranged marriages, and every religion ending in 'akh' should have been left in the dust of the human's first contact with our kind. Why must we be so backwards, when pulled so far forwards? This angst that fuels our kind is what destroyed Da’ha’den, and left all of Moghes in such shambles. More thatn one-point-eight billion. In a planetary war. What is wrong with us? Could we not see that there was nothing to fight over, save for the ores that we could have built our species' wealth on? Save for the culture and historical records that could have been poured over by foreign scholars? If not wishing to be subjugated by the illusion of such idiocy makes me Guwan, so be it. It is my title now, mine to interpret. I have cut ties with all of the past. I am Kozmodi Guwan, and I do not care what you think. I only care that I can.' Dropping the pen, abruptly, Kozmodi looked upon what she'd angrily scribbled on the paper. She looked over the poems she'd composed. She would return to make more, eventually, but this apartment was getting cramped. She carefully tacked the scratchily written paper to her wall. She should make a code. Perhaps she can appeal to other Guwan? The ideals of clans should be left behind, after all. She hoisted on her coat, put on her hat, pulling it over her eyes, and prepared to move to the spaceport. Later, on the arrivals shuttle, she found herself gazing into bluespace during the jump. How fortunate for other species to remain forward-thinking. She'd not have a job, otherwise. She fiddled momentarily with the fabric of her assistant uniform. She will have to see what her true calling is when she arrives. What do you like about this character? Bro this character is so original bro you don't even know bro. More or less, I like making weird characters and forcing them to fit. This particular one would be the stereotype of a neckbeard filtered through the lense of athletic unathi. I do hope you trust me to do this right. I'm going to have her do an IC job-search, find where she feels comfortable, converse with the sheeple, and try and make everyone needlessly woke to something they don't need in their lives. I know for a fact an outspoken bad-egg exists in every society of every type save for, perhaps, Skrell, trentsDionae, and Vaurca (unless you count the liidra as a sort of evil pseudo-hippie individual), but that's just because skrell are too unified, Dionae are too....tree.....and not unified, and Vaurca exist to serve the damn hive. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Like I said before, 7-or-8ish/10. Notes: *Excessive fedora tipping.*
  22. Well, I guess it was due time for me to make this. Sechuds, sunglasses, aviators. They all look really dumb on IPCs. So, uh. I've got some sprites that could work. I've sprited only for the ones that look weird in glasses: Xions, and G2s. I'll look into baselines if it turns out they see with like. A camera on their heads. I'll post the sprites after I take the time to export them all as PNGs into imgur or something; that's gonna take some time. Consider this starting the thread to inquire if people agree that sunglasses on a g2 are stupid.
  23. Alright, everythings fixed up nicely. I think.
  24. Oh nooooo, you have to cause trouble ICly. Oof. Tator AI is more along the lines of the big sneak. And people meta you less, in my own experience. The allure of tator AI is much subtle, akin to things as simply as helping another tator escape an unfavourable situation or turning a blind eye to somone getting dragged into maint to get the big esword.
