  3. https://gyazo.com/54bdb9b02b3dba2816ce613a9160fee8 There are a bunch of spots where what looks like the wrong railing sprites are used and it makes them look like they aren't connected in the top right corners
  4. Security's floor tiles are a bit too bright in comparison to the doors making it a bit painful on the eyes, I think it would be a bit easier on the eyes if the floor tiles matched the blue of the frame of the doors
  5. I feel like this could be really cool to play around with, especially if it ends up in any of the multi antag gamemodes, I would love to see for example, a group of mercs backed up by the two mech drivers. Also as mentioned already METAL CRUSHERS LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
  6. LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I've always been a fan of lethal gunplay I would LOVE to see this test merged HOWEVER I have a few issues 1, obviously the armor shit people have been talking about. 2, With more lethal gunplay there is less time to talk/rp during a fight. (Example, somebody getting riddled with bullets and surrendering, Usually I've seen people honor speech bubbles as a time to not shoot but holy shit will ganking be easier.) 3, Player skill balance, people that have been playing for years and are well experienced with the ROBUST combat system ss13 has will for obvious reasons absolutely steamroll newer players if firearms are made more lethal. I know this'll probably net a ton of >skill issue responses but it doesn't change that it'll make Security/antag gameplay absolutely more vicious to get new players into and that might make it more frustrating for newer players. I would like to propose an idea of a surrender button that makes you drop whatever is in your hands and gives an emote that raises your hands as a counter balance for those that would like to surrender but not get gunned down by a hail of bullets.
  7. +1 Redshirt has always been a pretty competent player and even moreso roleplayer, I believe she would be great in Command
  8. Giving this a +1 fully support this change to human languages. This post is made by number 1 linguistic lover TeknoAcid
  9. As the medic this was absolute hell for me but it looks like you guys had fun
  10. +1 I have always had enjoyment from interacting with Faye's IPC characters and after reading their canonized augment lore I believe I can safely say that they would fit well for doing IPC lore work.
  11. Hello, as the player of Ana (First Responder) I have a rebuttal for this. "Anastasia appeared to have went around in a different path around us and walked right into the arms of the merc team. Who promptly took her hostage and led to a downward spiral of the scenario as security had to sacrifice their momentum to stop the mercs in their track from taking any more hostages which led to Anastasia practically turning herself into one due to the need to defy stationing herself away until they hear a medical call. In an efforts to cut off security after obtaining their hostage, one of the mercs then attempted to slice and a door and roasted themselves, ashing one of their hands and leaving the merc team with only two operatives left." So as far as I know all of the first response team was headed to follow Security, I saw the android and I believe Madison (the other responder) following you guys, I held back because I was changing my music OOCly and proceeded to attempt to follow you in the direction I had believed you went. I happened to have made a wrong turn and ended up walking right into (ironically) the person that had been shocked to shit. I took a wrong turn and you believe this is something that is bad play? You clearly stated above as well that the Responders had been following behind as well. At what point did I "attempt to turn myself into a hostage" when I had a firearm pointed at me and the man had told me to get down on the ground due to once again, me taking a bad turn.
  12. You can get a mushroom that you can genetically alter from the vendor, I can't remember which one it was exactly but I'm pretty sure it was liberty caps? Sorry for butting into this thread randomly but I figure I would leave this information here as it's somewhat relevant.
  13. +Support to everything Garn and Satin have said, this thread seems absolutely out of line and in my time of playing a vamp and being vampire gamed I have never actually seen anybody do horny things. The worst thing I believe I have seen done was (ironically by me) falsifying a relationship ICly to bloodbag somebody however it NEVER went into creepy horny territory. Are some of the crew reactions borderline horny? Absolutely I have seen Security COUNTLESS times tell the same "Stop being horny at work and biting people" response time and time again to the point that it's basically just a regular response to being bit but I digress. I feel like this thread also is a massive spit in the eye to one of the most important thing about antagging, that being that sometimes you absolutely will have to lie and bullshit your way out of situations to get away with whatever wacky gimmick you are doing. I won't even cover the topic of how wrong it is to equate virtual vampires in a game from 2004 lying and being deceitful (which again IS PART OF THE GAME) is equaled up to an irl horrific experience that can, has, and will warp people's sense of trust and reality as I don't want to get banned.
  14. +1 Faye is cool and deserves a shot at moderator gaming
  15. +Support let me spawn with the communist mannifesto please
  16. So I have been thinking about this for a couple hours now, I saw it passing while at work and I've come to a few thoughts on it. It's a rough choice tbh because of the players that are limited on time. Let me give an example. I get home from work every day and typically I play two rounds of aurora for about four or five hours which is exactly as much as I am allotted before I need to deal with real life responsibilities. I try to get in a fair amount of on station roleplaying and general bullshitting in those two rounds as my character I play. With this change it will completely throw my game schedule to a singular round of gameplay. (assuming my job is being swamped like it occasionally is.) I enjoy playing on aurora but I am not about to play one round then wait two hours then play a second round when it is already closing in on my time I take to wind down to sleep. As well to this it shuts down any roleplay that can begin one round and then cross into a second round like I've seen and done before. On the other side of things as Faye said above, it frees up slots from people that keep on continually playing and hording the fun. As well it also acts as a buffer to prevent shitters from in theory ruining every round by doing a terrible job in whatever job they keep rolling. This however is already dealt with based around (from what I believe from my experience) RNG and I believe character age. (correct me if I am wrong on the character age.) I had further thoughts that I should have written down but I'm sure they will return to me eventually, but these are the two sides of it that I see, not including my issue of "What if it doesn't apply to back to back and rather it takes a lifeweb approach where you HAVE to play another round as something else before you can play your job again." as Yonnimer had already brought that concern up.
  17. one step ahead of you, I have Geeves working on the TTS device (an implant) and a new hearing implant. Both hearing devices will be able to work with radios
  18. -1 this honestly feels like danse trying to fix a nonexistent issue. as Incog posted above the relay chat has been sustainable for as long as I've been a part of the community and it's become a major part of the community as a whole in my opinion. From what I can imagine the staff likely want the opt in option as far as being staff on there as they probably have their hands full or otherwise don't want to administrate it. I do agree with your point as far as the bans go. On the topic of "we shouldn't have official arc content on the NT Relay chat" who actually cares as long as the arc's content is being run by the staff participating in the arc? The content I have seen for the event arcs that I've seen posted and used in the relay have always been a really fun extension of everything that is going on and provides alot more depth rather then "everything happens on the NSS Aurora and absolutely nowhere else."
  19. +1 giving you a plus one so I can flip your killswitch later }:) in all seriousness I've seen worse RDs and you've already heard my feedback in DMs.
  20. Playing as an event guy for the SCC was incredibly fun, I absolutely loved the crew interactions we got (except medical thanks dr*g) it really felt like we were the best hope for Tau Ceti. I can't wait to play more event roles in the future.
  21. I make a meme and already somebody is pushing for it to be real holy shit lmao
