While I find fine, and believable, for Rail to handle only brain repair surgery and we can adjusts/add a note about this, I also take in consideration that surgery is the only way to fix traumas, which should be a problem for the psych to solve instead of your regular medical doctor or surgeon. I am not really use if a paramedic, even while being an ipc, which not an excuse to know everything, should be able to handle chemical frabrication. Applying in real life logic at a certain degree is fine, but we must take in consideration we are a playing a game and we do strive to be believable, not to be realistic.
We had some recents changes to handle the job-hopping situation and qualifications, such as the new politics and the medical education reform. It is clear that paramedics are not supossed to have training in chemical frabrication, which is the purpose of the chemistry job, because having knowledge on what each medicine does and how to apply them is far different from knowing how to mix them.
Now, from the gameplay perspective; paramedics already have access to enough tools to stabilize and bring people to medical, where medical doctors will handle the healing; chemicals from the vending machine, the medkits, the chems from the rig and etc. I see that those chemicals have the purpose of healing someone, instead of just stabilizing someone.
My initial resolution would be;
- Rail can do brain surgery due to the reasons I already explained.
- Swift should not really be making chems without the real need for it.
