  1. The Kingdom Celebrates Day of Rightful Restoration 27.10.2467 Today marks the triumph of the Kingdom in all her forms. From the old colonial nations to the Hadiist threat, the Kingdom has proven its strength and independence. This year marks the fourth day of Rightful Restoration for Queen Shumaila Azunja. The focal point of today’s celebrations was the largest parade in the Kingdom’s storied history. Field-Marshal Vyakelas Kyuchevsky led the parade from the Imperial Palace following this year’s feast. The Ras’nrr Expeditionary Force headed the column, followed by Imperial Dragoons and the Royal Grenadiers. The Alam’ard followed close behind, and led the recently modernized armored corp. In a fantastic sight for observers, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas and the Minharrzka Maritime Company were able to ensure an experimental walker frigate joined in the display. A towering sight, it remained towards the middle of the parade. The deck of the frigate was altered to carry supplies and support an autogyro carrying the Kingdom’s flag for the duration of the procession. The Rock Nomad, Amohdan, and Zarr’ir support brigades took the rear of the parade. As is tradition, the parade arrived at the Kaltir Port where the fleet was moored. For the remainder of the day, citizens were permitted aboard select naval vessels for tours, alongside live lectures on the history of the Kingdom and how it won the Second Revolution. Prior to the parade and feast, the pubs, eateries, playhouses, and museums of the nation experienced record numbers of visitors. Kaltir was awash with a lights display put on by Duke Bahzemir Thakir’rhas with assistance by the NanoTrasen Company. Queen Shumaila Azunja’s feast this year pushed the limits on the capacity of the Imperial Palace. Members of parliament, nobles, notable guests, and other guests of excellence partook in the event. Representatives of the NanoTrasen Corporation and Idris Incorporated were invited to the feast, and additionally participated in meetings with members of parliament. King of the Mountains Rustam Harmaliik, in a shocking turn of events, declined to join the feast, citing internal matters that required his attention. Celebrations concluded with a naval re-enactment within Kaltir’s harbor between the Kingdom's forces and Hadiist tyrants. The battle raged on for nearly two hours and showcased the might of the nation’s formidable armada. Following the display, Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas returned to the fleet and set off for the return trip to Miran’mir.
  2. This LCA is accepted. It will be added to the wiki when possible. Some adjustments will likely be made as needed to fit with current and future Tajara lore. Thank you for the submission.
  3. Queen Renegotiates with Corporations, Constabulary Oversight Returns 24.10.2467 Following the wave of protests across the nation sparked by the riots in Orul, Queen Shumail Azunja invited the NanoTrasen Corporation, Idris Incorporated, and other businesses previously granted the enforcement charter to discuss the current state of the charter, and a new compromise between the Kingdom’s populace and the security of corporate goods. The meeting took place over multiple days, starting early this week, with select interest groups participating to provide further information. Those most notable were the Royal Constabulary, Royal Peacekeepers, a representative of the Olskan Society of Mining Engineers, and representatives of the Kingdom’s railway companies. Shumaila Azunja attended the talks for the entire duration, alongside Crown Heir Zhakmar Azunja. The present corporations had at one point requested Zhakmar Azunja be excluded from the meetings due to him distracting the participants with ‘childish’ questions and ‘making war noises’ while playing games. Shumaila Azunja rejected this request wholeheartedly. The Crown government released the agreed upon changes late today during a general press release. The changes see the enforcement charter officially revoked and nullified. Instead, select organizations may apply for partnership in the Economic Security Oversight program. Member organizations are permitted to utilize security forces, whether contracted or internal, for the enforcement of Crown law and protection of their assets within set zones and areas. All arrests and actions performed by these security teams must be reported and reviewed by the Royal Constabulary. The NanoTrasen Corporation later expressed disappointment at this compromise, despite their participation in earlier talks. A representative warned that the oversight will lead to inefficient enforcement, which may mean NanoTrasen will have to limit operations in higher-risk regions. Local businesses seemed to express similar concerns. Regardless, the Royal Constabulary reports that multiple businesses have already applied for the program including the NanoTrasen Corporation and Idris Incorporated. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh was the first to publicly address the new agreement. He expressed his worries that this new oversight is a step back and will hamper the effectiveness of the corporations to ensure their steady operation in Kingdom territory. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk disagreed with Akym Yudenikh. Claiming the unrest on Orul and later Baltor were proof enough that the corporations were overstepping their bounds. Akym Yudenikh later conceded, admitting the new agreement is a sufficient middle-ground for both sides, however clarifying that this agreement was still not as intended when he made his statements calling for a compromise earlier this week. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho claimed that these matters are meaningless, as the technology of the ancient Tajara will make the corporations obsolete.
  4. Riots in Olska, Rioters Blame Enforcement Charter 19.10.2467 The weeks following Queen Shumaila Azunja’s announcement of NanoTrasen Corporation’s enforcement charter have seen a steady growth of unrest within the city of Olska. The regions surrounding the city are known for their immense mineral wealth which has been vital in the growth of the Kingdom. NanoTrasen operations have seen the city grow at unprecedented rates. However, the corporate industries in the region utilize advanced technologies that require the use of phoron. As such, the region has been considered a priority point for phoron shipments alongside Baltor and Kaltir. Following a scandal within the Imperial Army, the Crown provided the NanoTrasen Corporation an enforcement charter. While controversial, banditry rates in high-risk regions have dropped. Many local businesses have claimed their own charter, including Idris Incorporated. While these businesses have promised to contain their security teams to their own property or adjacent areas, NanoTrasen, in partnership with the Private Military Contracting Group who shares ownership of Nexus Corporate Security, has sent their security teams further than seen previously. Freight hubs, local roads, and even adjacent businesses have been subject to alleged harassment by the corporate security forces. Under current legal precedence, these actions are permitted under the enforcement charter. Commoners and nobles alike have taken to the streets in Olska. The movement has disrupted economic operations in the city. NanoTrasen has warned that it will begin riot control operations if their shipments are delayed further by the rioters. The Olska Constabulary has stationed constables around the protest. According to Constabulary correspondents, these officers are for the protection of the citizenry, however action may be needed should the situation deteriorate or show signs of support for the Democratic Front, a known terrorist organization within the Kingdom. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk applauded the display as a sign of the Kingdom’s population providing much needed criticism of overreach by the corporations. Serhiy Oliinyk later suggested his own attending of the protests; however, he denied that any plans were currently on the table when approached by the Royal Telegraph. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas offered tacit agreement with Serhiy Oliinyk in a statement made shortly after the start of the protests. Grand Duke Akym Tudenikh accused Mahtra Dynhaas of overreacting and allowing his ideology to blind his vision of the future.
  5. Queen Grants NanoTrasen Enforcement Charter, Unrest in the Harr’nri 06.10.2467 Following the shock of the recent scandal involving the Alam’arrd Lieutenant Rajhazusaniikr Mrero’zhir, NanoTrasen Corporation began the use of corporate security teams across major freight corridors. The corporate personnel have relieved the previously assigned Alam’arrd soldiers who were since recalled due to the scandal. However, these corporate teams have caused disruptions with local businesses, holding up workers and nobles alike in extrajudicial checkpoints. The Royal Constabulary has not responded under orders by Queen Shumail Azunja, causing dissent from the lower nobility of Kaltir and Baltor. Baltoran industries using the union freight yard have complained of damaged shipments and delayed orders due to these corporate security teams, which have begun to threaten the growth of business in the region. Earlier today, Shumaila Azunja officially declared an enforcement charter for the NanoTrasen Corporation in efforts to combat the rising scourge of phoron-related freight robberies. This charter, while previously defined by King Vahzirthaamro Azunja, has not yet been granted to an entity until now. The charter grants the listed organization or individual permission to enforce Crown Law without further oversight by the Royal Constabulary. As a result, NanoTrasen security teams are capable of searching and arresting citizens, with detainees being handed to the Crown Magistrate for standard trial. It is claimed that this measure will save hundreds of thousands of knuckles on enforcement of these vital freight lines and places the onus of protection on the entities benefitting the most from these protection services. Additional charters have been offered to any business utilizing freight lines within the Kingdom. So far, no other notable businesses have accepted the offer. The act received strong reactions from figures across the Kingdom. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh expressed complete support of the measure, going further to recommend charters be granted to Idris Incorporated to encourage expansion of their resorts. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas declared the act borderline treasonous, undermining the security and capabilities of the Kingdom to handle its own affairs. Following a heated exchange with Akym Yudenikh, Mahtra Dynhaas stormed out of the Parliament chambers. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk provided tacit support to Mahtra Dynhaas’s refusal of the charter and refused to provide further comment following the exchange.
  6. Alam’arrd Stealing Phoron, Lieutenant to be Trialed! 05.10.2467 In an unexpected turn of events, Lieutenant Rajhazusaniikr Mrero’zhir has been arrested by the Royal Constabulary of Kaltir on preliminary charges of grand theft. Custody of the officer has been overturned to the Imperial Army in preparation for a court martial later this month. An additional 10 soldiers have been arrested in connection to the case, however further details on their charges have not been released. The Alam’ard assigned to escort duties has been recalled, pending replacement as determined by the NanoTrasen Corporation and Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky. Constabulary reports indicate the Lieutenant, and 10 subordinates were caught in possession of phoron at the Kaltir Union Freight Yard. Despite claims made to excuse the scene as anything other than theft, sufficient probable cause permitted the constables to initiate arrest. The total amount of phoron recovered has been priced at over 20.000თ, far beyond the minimums to constitute grand theft. Following a review of records, NanoTrasen Corporation has reported a small loss of phoron in shipments over the past two weeks. While these numbers were within expected losses and therefore not reported, the total amount lost accounts for the majority of the recovered phoron. In the interim period, the corporation has stationed their own security forces to handle these escort duties. This action goes against previous policies put in place by Parliament. Protests from local businesses have been made due to the aggressive presence of these corporate protection agents. Reactions were negative across the government. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas accused the Field-Marshal of incompetency, further calling the Imperial Officer Corps of the Army a rotten organization. He continued on to begin calling for the nationalization of foreign assets before being silenced by Queen Azunja. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk expressed immense displeasure at NanoTrasen’s use of corporate protection, once again claiming the act an overstep of authority by the corporation. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh welcomed the corporate security, pointing out the use of corporate agents would save on budget better spent on other matters than the protection of a corporate supply line. Count Tscherim Sanguszkho appeared absent minded during the discussion, only providing weak support to Prince Serhiy Oliinyk at the end of the debate.
  7. Given 1/3rd of the Aurora-related examples are Tajara related, I feel it's suffice to say that I appreciate the work and skill of RHG. The Party gives its +1 in support.
  8. At this time, I will be denying your application. You have a good understanding and knowledge of Tajara lore, which is not in doubt in the slightest. You also made many good points in regard to how the current Cold War arc sits, and the state of the History page. However, at this time, I believe the priorities of the Taj lore team don't align with what you are offering. This was not an easy decision to make, and I do wish the best in your future efforts.
  9. Clue the Movie (1985) mentioned Good movie you should all watch it
  10. My 2-cents. Engineering fills up pretty quick. Considering it can consistently get nearly all of its slots filled most high-pop rounds is a pretty good indicator that the department is doing good. Plus, during expeditions the extra manpower helps a lot. Or crazy rounds where major damage might occur. I think it's fine the way it is. (We should add more fluff RP stuff similar to those maintenance panels but that's not for this thread)
  11. Apologies for the delay. Another question to clarify things: 4. You have stated you main interest is cleaning up the wiki. Being in the Deputy role involves brainstorming, editing, and writing of documents/news articles. What is your stance on these duties of the role?
  12. Hi! Thank you for applying. While there is a good foundation for a character here, the overall application reads as unfinished and doesn't touch on major aspects of the species lore sufficiently (namely the 2nd Revolution). For these reasons, I will be denying your application. You may reapply in 3 days (18th of September).

  14. Alam’ard Ordered to Protect Phoron Shipments 12.09.2467 In response to calls by the Royal Constabulary, Royal Peacekeepers, and NanoTrasen Corporation, Field-Marshal Vyakelas Klyuchevsky has officially assigned Alam’ard forces to the escorting of the Kingdom’s phoron shipments. This action comes following numerous attacks the past two days, leading to further pressure from NanoTrasen for action to be taken. The deployment of the Alam’ard to this end has been acknowledged by the corporation. The new escorts have already begun proving their effectiveness with shipments earlier today. Two noted attempts were made on trains carrying phoronic cargo south of Kaltir and east of Baltor. In both cases, debris had covered the tracks before the train had been engaged with gunfire. The Alam’ard forces were quick to respond, and reportedly subdued a number of the bandits before they had fled. Due to risks involved with leaving the train, troops were unable to investigate the bandit casualties. Reports from the soldiers suggest these bandits were not organized. The deployment of soldiers received mixed reactions across the Crown Government. Grand Admiral Mahtrra Dynhaas firmly dissented the decision, stating that the expeditionary force marines were a far better choice in spite of the performance seen today. Prince Serhiy Oliinyk called the deployment a gross overstep of military authority into the jurisdiction of civilian law enforcement. Queen Azunja reaffirmed her support for the decision, and emphasized the effectiveness of the troops seen today.
  15. Phoron Banditry on the Rise! NanoTrasen Demands Better Protection 06.09.2467 This past week, the Raakti Shariim reported a notable uptake in phoron-related banditry between the Kaltir spaceport and NanoTrasen factories in the Harr’nrri Peninsula. Provincial Constabularies have engaged these bandits on numerous occasions in efforts to keep our roadways safe. However, bandit gangs in the region have proven to be well-supplied. Current investigation cites the most likely origin of these individuals to be Adhomai Liberation Army deserters from the Revolution, using old caches and equipment in their effort to eke by through the destruction of the local populace’s efforts. In the previous years since the armistice, these bandit gangs have been kept at bay by the dutiful Royal Constabulary and Raakti Shariim. It is currently unknown what has led to the recent uptake in attacks. The focus of these thefts is phoron bound for corporate industries. This precious resource is sourced by the NanoTrasen Corporation, and is what lays the groundwork for advanced technology across the Spur. The Crown and Parliament have taken noted interest in the element as the Kingdom continues to grow towards its destined future, as it will be a necessary tool to match the Spur. With access to phoron, factories are capable of operating faster, leading to cheaper goods for all. However, the material is expensive, which makes it an alluring target for bandits across the nation. NanoTrasen has demanded increased protection by the Royal Constabulary. They note that the lost phoron has cost far more than is acceptable, and as such they have had to raise prices of select goods across the nation. Idris Incorporated, another partner corporation that has seen recent expansions in the Kingdom’s lands, has offered its own protection services, however no agreements have been made as of yet. Queen Shumaila Azunja did not respond when approached by the Royal Telegraph for comment. Unrest has been growing in Baltor over the rise in cost of NanoTrasen goods. Getmore, a subsidiary of the NanoTrasen Corporation, has been lambasted by much of the petty nobility for the unnecessary increase in prices at store fronts. Additionally, NanoTrasen produced goods have been in shortage recently. The company further blames lackluster protection of infrastructure, and undersized railways. This has yet to quell the concerns of the Kingdom’s urban dwellers, who continue to voice their dissent against the alien corporation. Parliament discussed the concerns of the corporations earlier today. Grand Duke Akym Yudenikh suggested the use of Idris’s services, and a further expansion of present contracts with the PMCG. Grand Admiral Mahtra Dynhaas fervently opposed the suggestion, pointing out the weakness shown by handing enforcement duties to corporations, especially those xeno corporations. He further called for the nationalization of the NanoTrasen factories as a means to remove the reliance of phoron, and thereby removing the incentive for phoron banditry outright. Count Tscherim Sangusckho offered support to Grand Duke Yudenikh, so long as phoron could be utilized for expeditions into the North Pole. Queen Shumaila promptly ended discussion on the matter.
  16. Thank you for applying! Just a couple of questions. 1. Could you expand on what is meant with this? 2. A large part of the lore writing process is iterative and collaborative. What is you experience with the reviewing process and having your writing reviewed? 3. You mentioned that you would like to see more flashpoints in the Cold War, which would come from article arcs. Is there an idea for such an arc or a region where one would be particularly interesting?
  17. I originally +1'd Rookie's application before the trial. I return to comment on their play. The character feels as though they've been a mainstay for a year. Rookie handled escalation far better than a rookie while giving the antags room to cook. Overall, good command play, I reaffirm my +1
  18. This is true to an extent. However, some of that comes down to the scrutiny of each location. In this case, the rule is quite specific: If a persistent object exists in a room where confidential material may be stored, and that room may be occupied by entities not permitted to see that material, then it cannot be persistent. If multiple interest groups can occupy a given area, and that area carries a level of confidentiality, then no persistence. Various nations are at odds, as well as various corporations. Given the offices are generic, it would be detrimental for them to be persistent. That also helps CCIA not have to deal with cases of John Sol seeing confidential details from Adam Biesel which is a mess to deal with. This rule should be applied universally, however the only instances where this exists currently are the rep and consular offices as they are unique in of themselves. Adding an examine tooltip for whether an object is non-persistent would be useful regardless.
  19. Rookie is a great roleplayer. I have few doubts they can uphold that side of Command play. In terms of being Command, they've shown an ability to step up to varying degrees and shown plenty of potential in taking the full leap up to the HoS seat. The only shame is that Lynn isn't being made HoS. +1
  20. The key is what's presently locked in the CMO office for one reason or another. Even with a second box of inhalers, refills are needed dependant on how busy a round gets. If the second box isn't desired as it provides too much, then it should be removed from the CMO office and/or placed in the ops cargo list. The autoinjector box is sorta whatever. Useful for making cocktails that can be used by anyone but are not flexible enough for general medical use imo. This is sorta getting off-topic though, so I guess I'll end my thoughts with I don't think changes are required
