  1. A bed sounds a million times better.
  2. I just realized there's no Ian glass cage. Is this intentional?
  3. yes, i don't regret it
  4. I like it a lot, I would probably just add some plants outside the Captain's office.
  5. repost if you're a  proud vox whitelistee!

  6. Huge improvement, but still not sold in how exposed the Captain's office is. I would suggest an ante-office that connects to the outside, could be used as a spare office too. Or instead of an office, a simple reception like the diplomatic area one, just my two cents.
  7. repost if you HATE dionae romance arcs!

  8. Grey is a great player, he has asked me a lot of questions regarding Command and this has not been a rushed decision from his part either. Plus, I've already relied on Kathira a couple of times when in times of emergency, so I'd say he's fit for all stress that comes with the job too. +1
  9. Hm, rather, it could be a slot open only if certain conditions meet, like merchant works I think?
  10. Similar to the Consular secretary suggestion (and perhaps with the same trigger option), I think the solution would be to trigger a ghost spawner for the job. In this defect, you could instead select it from the HOP's ID modification screen instead. This is unrelated perhaps but, officially added or not , I would like having a vacant office in @furrycactus bridge redesign, to use in ocassions like this.
  11. I understand this part, but I think it's hard for me to grasp a piece of cloth achieving this, ultimately it would have some sci-fi tech gizmos attached anyways, like I'm sure the i-patch does.
  12. Sorry for beating the dead horse, but perhaps where the Cap's office currently stands you could place the command cryo, or change the direction of the HOP's office. I like the idea a lot, but it needs another layout imo. Unrelated, but probably add something else too to the construction level? Like empty shops for players or something, or some kind of way departments can connect to the place, because while it's good ultimately it may suffer from the same issue of the bridge being too disconnected from the rest of the map.
  13. I still fail to understand how a blindfold would work, and if it's a piece of futuristic tech, why wouldn't glasses or hell, even a VISOR like thing wouldn't be better.
  14. Type: Planet Describe this proposal in a single sentence (12 word maximum): Mictlan desperately needs lore, I wrote some to make it more unique. How will this be reflected on-station?: If it were taken at face value? Directly add two new religions (or sub religious factions), new drinks and foods, and hopefully a wave of Mictlanian Aztlanian characters. Does this faction/etc do anything not achieved by what already exists?: It's a rewrite, and while one could say there are certainly similarities to some Unathi notions, no, I think it's fairly fresh and in fact adds a lot more importance to a left-for-dead planet. Why should this be given to lore developers rather than remain player created lore?: Because it's a total rewrite of Mictlan, and to make it headcanon only would definitely go against lore rules. Do you understand that if this is submitted, you are signing it away to the lore team, and that it's possible that it will change over time in ways that you may not forsee?: Absolutely, that's mainly the reason why I'm posting it here. Long Description: Here's the link to the Google doc I made. Extras: Boy, I don't know where to start. So basically, I had a bunch of ideas last Sunday and just sat down and wrote them, I haven't really looked over the document besides some typos Lain corrected. I'll make up a bunch of questions I feel I would be asked, and try to answer them in a concise manner. Why are you posting a first draft?: Because I want feedback from the community. What I wrote some days ago is also not totally what it's currently brewing in my head. For example, I would like to make clear that the exampas aren't totally Vysokian-rural world, but rather, think about some probably wealthy farmers that live in small communities without all services because of how centralized the government is. I would also like to correct some goofy-sounding parts, mainly the ending. I'm totally in for absurd dystopias, however, and I think it reflects with the document style. It might not be suited for the loredev team's style, and it's okay if they want to change it. The elephant in the room, why Aztlan and not Mictlan?: Because I think Mictlan is too much of an eerie name as it stands that doesn't really fit the setting or would be realistically chosen. It's like if you created a world named Hell or, at least, Underworld. It might go under the radar for some of our players, but Hispanic players could expand further with me that Mictlan is just... off. I chose Aztlan because of the connotations it has, and turns out it's been chosen for other sci-fi settings, which I had no idea, but it makes sense for a pan-Hispanic State project. Anyways, I'm open to another rename, or making up a nahuatl-sounding word even (or perhaps just, simply, choosing another toponym). I've done this before in other works of fiction, so it should be easy. If it's so barebones as it stands, why not just use it for a human lore dep app?: I'm unsure if I'd be fit for the job, mainly for two reasons: 1) I find the newslore not too newbie-friendly, and because I didn't experience many of the events firsthand, it gets lost for me. Suffice is to say, I ignore a lot of the human lore for this reason, and I don't know many of the motives of the powerful factions because of it, like other better-suited candidates would do. 2) I have problems with human lore that would go beyond a deputy position, mainly, I wish there was a lot more culture and media localized on each planet, not just left for headcanon, because many players are afraid to engage in that time of discussions in fear of not being lore-friendly. I think it's a hard balance, and I tried to even it out with my draft, although I most likely failed. In short, you're free to tear this apart, rewrite it completely, do whatever. I mainly want to cause a serious discussion of rewriting Mictlan, and I couldn't find a better board to post this other than the one it's currently at. If you feel your criticism is too harsh or want to discuss it privately, you can dm me on discord too. Also, I would like to move forward with @Sycmos aid, mainly, because I value his opinion a lot as he's probably one of the few Mictlan players out there, and he's really passionate about this planet too. If anything, his proposals would surely be better than mine.
  15. Wouldn't it be easier to just have futuristic looking prescription glasses and RP it? My Dominian character is not blind but nearsighted, I use the aviator medical HUD to RP this, and I'm sure you can in most departments. I would prefer more glasses on the loadout, though. They're kind of hard to sprite but the selection right now is lackluster imo.
  16. I don't understand, is it a piece of cloth that lets you see?
  17. Basically just that. This one is just bland and generic, we could change it to the icon of the Discord server, maybe, or the Aurora icon that's shown at the lobby art. Perhaps somebody else could come up with a different suggestion to replace this icon.
  18. Normally I would agree, but I've seen zero other characters pushing this same Coalition alliance. In a way I think it's like Sycmos custom flag and banner.
  19. I was one of those that originally suggested this as soon as faye showed her flag on the relay discord. So big +1, can't wait to seethe as Pierre when I see it.
  20. I like Rooster, I think he's approachable and friendly, while also upholding the server rules and being firm if required. I would really like them to be a mod. +1
  21. I like this, but why shouldn't it be a loadout item for everyone? I understand wishing an item for yourself, but the justification for it to be for Oliver only is kind of flimsy.
  22. bump
  23. I love you so much.
  24. Wrong is probably a harsh word- one round where you had to cryo, that's what another engineer said and the red dock was completely crushed, and I remember you went your way to do the shields at the beginning. I've seen other instances, however, where there are no shields at all, it's even pointed out on the radio, and it has caused all kinds of troubles at the surface level. I guess what I'm trying to say is that as CE you would need to keep track of who did what and if it was actually done correctly, think of it as a supervising engineer in that sense, so there's no problems with power/engines/atmos/etc.
  25. I think you do know your way around engineering, and I've seen you create these puzzle-like engineer chaos as antag. However, I've noticed you rarely do the shields, or if you do them they're done ineffectively, and there's been more than one round where we get the alert for meteors/ship debris and you're the engineer and you won't even rush there in that case. I'm mostly concerned about this if you become command, because the CE has to react fast to whatever the current emergency is.
