Never ever ever ever ever ever gonna happen. Sorry. You are not going to meaningfully improve the antag system with a whitelist in place. As someone who deals with ahelps surrounding all of these antags i can tell you that the overwhelming amount of problems with the roles comes from inexperience. Inexperience with how the mechanics of that specific antagonist work. In the ninjas case its how the RIG modules work and what modules are good choices since the game does not really do a good job of communicating information to you. At least not to the degree in which your choice is meaningful. Same problem with wizard. The only solution here is just to play the game and the role more often. Also i do not necessarily know about the rest of my team but i sure as hell do not want to deal with another whitelist system. Dont try to make me do actual work.

Only so much we can do in that regard. Even if we can walk people through the steps required to setup the engine its still a barrier for the role. Besides that i am a fan of alt-titles existing for role play purposes.

Cant maintenance technicians and electricians set solars instead? Even if they cant i think the big problem is setting up the engine is intimidating if you are not experiencing with how it works. I see people avoid it just for this reason. If you screw up you risk being bwoinked or ruining the round.

We just added two new job titles in place of the old journalist title. This seems like something that a freelance journalist would have. Corporate reporters probably CANT write anything negative about the company.

There was plenty of discussion internally which finally granted IAA this clearance. There is no reason to bar an implanted and impartial arbitrator of regulations from command areas.

He is saying that if we can "trust" command players to be able to order an injuction then we can also "trust" IAA players to do so since they are under the SAME whitelist. It WOULD Logically be about the whitelist in this case. I do not actually know when/if a command member can file an injunction though. I would have to check but if they are a little bit like restraining orders it does not seem unreasonable to me for IAA to have them. No that is not what that means. Having authority over a specific situation does not make them the same as command. They are expected to hand control back after they kill the ninja teleporting behind people. The role is not going to be whitelisted for reasons i have already stated. Voting for dismissal.

So in the very first IR you have testimony from a member of security PLUS testimony of the guy in medical AND radio logs of the medical and security channel against you. These charges are not made up out of thin air. The thing i might understand though is there might have been a bit of confusion about what exactly was voided due to antags and what wasnt. You're character was given the equivalent of a note after an admin bwoink. After looking through all of the evidence myself it really just seems like a difference of perspectives man.

There is more nuance to the role than saying "ERT is command" implies. This is information available on our wiki. ERT only have authority over the rest of the station in dealing with whatever is causing the emergency status. While it is true they have a great deal of power in the round this power is usually relegated to "how the round ends". Command characters are officially in charge of the station and the crew. They have a great deal of power over the round during all points. A whitelist for this role exists mostly as a commitment check. They are very easy to get and stop a very new player joining as the captain and not knowing at all what to do. The degree of harm you can cause in those roles is far greater. I simply do not think it is fair to go "Command are whitelisted so why arent ERT?". There are distinct differences between the roles.

if the science to mining relationship is such a big issue you could just add some ore that spawns along with other dungeon rewards. Monsters should definitely only be INSIDE dungeons though.

After pouring through most of the interview logs i cannot really find a reason to disagree with CCIA's various rulings here. I do not agree that ccia isnt equipped to properly handle an incident.

Hello If an administrator deemed the issue presented in your post as acceptable then you will need to make a staff complaint. Player complaints cannot be used to overturn a staff members decision.

So the reason i asked is because your ckey and ban is mirrored to an original ckey. The original ckey being mastaflips, a fairly notorious individual. On the left side of this screenshot is the ban mirror. On the right side is the original ban. CID and CIP are marked in red because they where the same number. I blurred them out. Why did you try to appeal this under a pseudonym?

I will almost always support job restrictions based on race. The station is way too much a liberal hellhole. Its hard to get behind any sort of racial conflict when its not reflected at all mechanically. I do not think M'sai should be allowed to be the head of security either. Lets not be disingenuous in trying to argue that they are "the least educated" role or something. They are a command member and functionally the most important command member because they and their team have to deal with all the spooky shit that tries to mess with the other departments. You can justify literally anything with "IC stuff". We should first look to how the game is actually played and go from there.
