I really really really hate telling you how to play your character but the captain job is fairly strict in how its meant to be played. Your team was on scene and trained to handle the situation. You are literally the most important person on station and the only one entrusted with the responsibility of arming the nuclear device. You need to trust your fellow crew. That aside its a relatively minor (and isolated) incident on your part. I generally encourage captains to play defensively outside of extreme situations. If a cultist was chopping your wife up for example i would completely understand you rushing them regardless of the situation.

Your story checks out. Theres almost a 20 minute time period between when you first ahelped and when you finally did ghost. All i see as far as communication about antagging you is an SM which was apparently a gimmick of the event run by alberyk. I will be expunging the warning. I would however like you to comment on some of the comments you made during the round. You seemed to be none too pleased about events taking place IC. This looks to have bled over into LOOC and AOOC. TLDR i mentioned alberyk on the staff discord. If all you did was bolt a door and mess with some tiles then i do not feel that was sufficient evidence to start looking for hidden doors. Should have called an engineer or a borg to try and open the bolted door. The player should have been bwoinked but i suppose its water under the bridge now.

Looks pretty reasonable to me. There was a clear connection to be made between your book and the spooky stuff that happened to the captain. I do not feel any action needs to be taken here. I will consider this resolved and i will lock and archive it within 24 hours.

I will however echo a lot of the concerns posted here. Nanotoxin, your attitude in the past has frankly sucked. Especially towards xander and skull. If i had a nickel for every ahelp we've argued over in two years concerning what people can and cannot do when implanted then i wouldn't have to keep forcing all of you to mine bitcoin for us. There are fundamental issues with the loyalty implant or any rework of it. Directives that seek to clarify only half meet that goal. If you cannot take my word for that (and you shouldnt) then try to tell me that AI laws are "clear" and then look at all the "what if" ahelps we get about them. Mindshield implants tacitly permit knowledge of "mind control mechanics" like cultists and vampires which opens a whole HOST of problems i really really do not want to get into. Even if we totally remove loyalty implants we still need a way to explain IN ROLEPLAY how captains and heads of security cannot be selected for cult conversions and other antagonist forms outside of rev/loyalist. The loyalty implant doesn't MECHANICALLY prevent you from rolling traitor or vampire of course. The job itself cannot get those roles. We might be able to just say "NT vets captains really really well!" but if im completely honest i think spooky mind control devices work well with the nefarious nature of nanotrasen. TLDR i hate this whole discussion and i am still in therapy over it.

It was a pretty serious miscommunication issue that could have been resolved if you had verified the names. you would have found out that there where indeed two merchants and arresting a merchant that just joined is, butts. I just didnt really think your antagonist status was a good excuse.

kaed not every little meme and reference in this game needs to be changed. Sure it would be nice if it wasnt broken as hell on non-human sprites but any attempts to move away from the glowing red eyes and hulk strength will get a firm no from me.

In total since you came here early this year you've racked up THIRTY EIGHT notes. warnings and bans of varying length. you have FIFTEEN total warnings, notes, bans and even a lifted PERMABAN in the last month alone. You cannot seriously expect leniency with the "i panicked excuse". In my opinion the ban should stay. go and stay go

Antags are generally opt in and i think this is healthy for the game as a whole. that being said spamming "no" simply because "i didnt get enough roleplay" is shameful. The onus isnt on you to decide if the cult is role playing well enough. Ideally we would live in a fantasy utopia where everybody played in good faith and everyone was happy to roll with any situation that isnt explicitly against the server rules. essentially this We cannot force people to have fun. I would honestly love to be able support forced conversions provided a fantasy utopia. Right now it would just make cult rounds even more of a salt-filled headache.

Bath salt's temp security ban EXPIRED at 2017-11-15 04:40:51. the ban was over over escalation of headgoring. i will rattle the hive of staff and get logs perused sometime over the next few days. ALTHOUGH There is A LOT of potential context missing from this situation and even without it doesn't seem that bad to me. IPC traitor breaks into the armory, tosses out guns and then a shootout happens. seems fairly ok to me.

I think that is definitely a healthy way to play.
