  1. Yeah especially for Captain. I usually have all of them turned on for monitoring purposes.
  2. Well, it happens for the Head of Personnel as well. It is just for channels that you have access to but do not command directly. Head of Personnel gets Supply and Service auto enabled. Security is an option but not enabled upon arrival. Captain only has Security and Command enabled upon arrival. Everything else is disabled. And, I know for a fact that everyone in those positions need to turn their headsets on but I was more asking if anyone else sees it as an issue.
  3. So, this is just a minor suggestion but when your character arrives on station, could we add it where instead of manually needing to turn on every channel that you have access to? It may seem like a minor thing but I find that when I am in roles that often have access to most if not all of the channels I forget to turn them on or miss things. This could just be me but I think it is probably just a quick change and it might help others?? Maybe I'm the only one with this issue 0_0
  4. I feel that it should be remove completely as well, if I didn't make that clear in my first post. If we vote for an Extended round that means that there should be no antagonist. It hasn't become an issue yet but I can see it being an issue dealing with making events canon and possibly CCIA investigations into "extended" rounds. Anyway, I hope that rest of the administration agrees with Skull on this one.
  5. Okay... How is this not a bug?? That makes no sense and I think it should just be fixed through GitHub.

    Job Suspension+

I am really iffy about this. I don't think I trust whitelists enough to give them lasting effect on characters. The only way I would be alright with this is if the CCIA Bureau constantly monitors any suspensions that go through. Also, there should definitely be paperwork of the Suspension and the reasoning for why you chose more than one shift documented somewhere. That is important. Also, there should be ways in place for someone to combat the actions of the Captain, whether it is just them posting an Incident Report about the Captain misusing his authority or privately messaging a member of the CCIA to review the case. I'm not really in the position anymore to immediately decide how the CCIA would handle this but it is a must about being heavily monitored. Also, if people get too out of hand with it, instead of just punishing the Captian, I would even say that the OOC Administration gets involved. Especially since Head whitelists are "Easy to lose, easy to get"
  7. Hi! I just read through this application and I have to say, it isn't too bad. The only part that confused me was where he lived near a swamp on Aliose. Aliose is a frigid ice world that I highly doubt would be home to swamps. Besides that, I like the character and you roleplay your characters very well. +1 for the warble squad.
  8. I've found that rule to be slightly odd. I mean, we had it on old code when we weren't even able to speak during votes so it was kind of irrelevant unless it was forced before and after votes. I wouldn't mind being able to ask for a certain round type with a reasoning why you want it and maybe you have an idea for that round. Spamming "NUKE" would be annoying but if people have ideas for certain round types, it may help with having gamemodes that we don't usually have. Still would be fine with having the staff tell people to stop spamming in OOC if there is just people in all caps typing the round type that they want.
  9. It's not been an issue until now because CCIA are only there for short periods of time, and because you're all whitelisted people who can be mostly trusted to RP it. In reality though, there would be hundreds of CCIA agents there Where exactly did you get this information from?? It is said in the lore that there is at MOST 10 CCIA on the NTCC Odin. Also, it is completely reasonable for communications to be bounced of satellites (believe this is the reasoning given) for Central Command to hear communications. And yes, they can hear it when they want to but, there are regulations saying when the CCIA are allowed to listen in. Anything besides specific approved times we don't hear it or we don't listen and if you have an issue you fax it. Also, to address people saying that CC just listens to the ramblings of the crew. They literally don't listen unless they are tipped off by something. The reasoning for that is either CC can take things out of context and listening to communications is very unreliable
  10. I loved reading that. I honestly that Hayden was going to reveal something about wanting to kill all the other species and then just snap Hanira's neck or something xD
  11. Yeah, I am not sure if that was completely working when this suggestion was made. The General Notice is pretty good and as Arrow said, we can just go to that and choose one to automatically format and send.
  12. Yeah what Chaz said. The lore isn't really failing in the parts of not having enough reasons to hate each other but it is more that the players are very accepting of the races and most of the time if you try to be racist, you just get shutdown by the rest of the crew immediately. I have been working on making very arrogant and "only Humans and Skrell are legit" Skrell characters that have been semi-successful on getting others to jump on their racist bandwagon. Now, on the part of the Human loredev having to also write lore for NanoTrasen. If this hasn't changed, the Board of Directors contains a good amount of Skrell and of course there are Humans there. So, those two races are pretty much the ones who get treated best in the company. Whenever major stuff happens with NanoTrasen or at least would he something that the CCIA had say in, Jackboot would just talk to me about it. I think the lore is pretty good currently for NanoTrasen but I'd be fine working with people who are working on NanoTrasen lore.
  13. I feel that having a Human-specific lore developer would help greatly with making Humans actually competitive. I support Chaz being the lore dev with one condition, he continues going down the path where there have been large amounts of unrest and possibly continuing it further to make Sol have an even more "Human First" mindset. I think I've heard Chaz talk about Human supremacy stuff in OOC so I'm assuming he would continue going that way. I just feel adding more of that looking down on other races sort of feel that Atlas brought would definitely make the lore more interesting.
  14. Closed to due to the death of Manfred Hayden during the events of the Incident Report that would likely make it difficult to get a reliable interview due to Hayden being the subject of the complaint. EDIT: Forgot to add. The player of Hayden did not wish to keep their character's death canon.

    [RACE] Peleng

Yeah they have arms and I'm sure we could find a writer if Delta didn't want to. There are plenty of very creative people in the community.

    [RACE] Peleng

I was legit just asking about this yesterday. Peleng all the way. I'd betray my Squid allies for this.
  17. I also find Raymond Hawkins to be a good HoS. Definitely one of those that I can trust to not be shitcurity when I see them on.
  18. I thought it already told people that someone took a pill. If not, I guess it seems like an alright thing. Maybe there can be a "Take pill secretly" option where it might take the same length as someone feeding you a pill would but it doesn't make a text sign to anyone else.
  19. Well, I made my case and will wait for an admin's questioning and or ruling. I didn't physically set off a bomb and the people who died were not meant to. There was an accident in setting off the bomb. That was reported to my character ICly.
  20. I appreciate that you made a complaint about this where something may actually be done if the administration deems punishing me necassary. Now, I would rather not have this be tons of pages of people flinging insults back and forth as many player complaints have done in the past. The reason that we both has that objective marked for us was because it was decided in AOOC that it would be our team objective to hinder synthetic production capabilities and decommission synthetics as we came across them. I'm actually not sure why it wasn't the official objective for all of us. There were four of us in total, at least for one of them, it was their first time as an antag on this server. Moving onto the events that led up to the bombing. The Unathi and I were dropped off in the South-East part of the station so we could get onto the station through the Research Maintenance. We split up, said good luck to each other as the Unathi was going to attempt to sabotage Robotics and I was going to establish communications with the Federation citizens on the station to see if we could get them to work with us or give us information. Just gain sympathisers for our cause. I was unsure on how to approach the first person on the station so I was just pacing around in Science maintenance for a few minutes to make up a plan. In that time, the Unath activated the bomb, from what I can tell there was a mistake because shortly after the bomb detonated, the Unathi came struggling down maintenance to our entry point where i noticed that his leg was gone. It wasn't even in our plans to have any organic casualties. The only deaths that we would've been fine with would've been synthetics that were located in the Robotics facility. But as I said before, the bomb was not set correctly as the Unathi missed the actual machinery in Robotics, hitting mostly the maintenance (Where I think the bomb was placed) the Mech Bay and surrounding areas. It was overall, a failure at the bombing. After that failure, I used it to enact a plan that I just thought up in the meantime. It would be to act like a Tup Commando (Already was one but was working with independent contractors who were attempting to damage the synthetic research aboard the NSS Exodus). While I would be acting like I was a Commando, I would claim that I and several other operative cells around Tau Ceti were tasked with stopping multiple groups of Hegemon Shadow Service agents that were going to full out bomb the stations instead of hitting synthetic facilities that were agreed upon. The Tups would claim that they did not plan on intervening in the bombings until they found out that organics would be killed in the process and the tipping point being when the information that multiple Federation citizens would also become deceased. So, I rolled with the plan, attempting to gain the trust of the Skrell that were on the station at the time by speaking over the Common frequency to them, claiming that I was here to help and that we could mutually benefit each other. The end goal of this plan would just to be to get more Skrell sympathizers and play the hero of the situation as we "Captured the bombing Unathi" by simply bringing them back to the ship because he was crippled. I believed that it was fairly well thought out and still am confused as to the reason why Delta is continuing to be mad about this. Sure, things didn't go to plan and people died. But, we had more that we wanted to get done but, the ERT was called immediately after the bombing. I don't even believe that the Command staff were aware that intruders were on the station at that time. I said what I needed to say at this time, I just think this whole thing became a fuck up after the intial bombing failure that just caused us to improvise. I thought that it was succesful as I managed to recruit Skrell to the cause and possibly, release them back to Tau Ceti with whatever orders or something that upper management in the Tup Commando Division would task them with.
  21. Heads of staff with a brain will seek fax confirmation every time from CC. So if the AI didn't ping an admin to poke the DOs to make it legit, nothing will get done. Admins are having us confirm plans that are actually thought out by the AI to act as if the AI hijacked the fax and responded themselves. During malf rounds, the CCIA would not receive faxes ICly. Eventually, this will be supported by code which allows the AI to purchase an ability, I believe, that will allow them to hijack the faxes and respond in the CCIA's stead.
  22. I was the Captain. The CMO said that the doctor failed to tell that Akela wanted a full arm replacement. She said that if she was aware that there was going to be a full arm replacement, she would deny it due to it wasting resources. So, from what I was able to tell, ICly. the doctor failed to communicate it to the CMO that they were doing a full arm replacement. I was not aware of that ICly or OOCly. Also, to provide more information on what UnknownMurder was saying. I directed the player of Ishikawa to UM to log the warning, that was a mistake on my part because it was late where I was and for some reason thought they were talking about logging Head of Staff reports on Security. I think we cleared that up in the staff discord after the round though. The CMO was still welcome to file an Incident Report on the Surgeon if they felt it necessary. After that, there would be a full investigation opened if the CCIA deemed it valid.
