Alrighty. After reviewing Quiet Cowboy’s history here, we believe that it is apparent that a majority of the reported issues relate directly to your behavior while playing in antagonist roles. After last night’s vampire round, Quiet Cowboy was given another antagonist ban with specific instructions on what to do in order to improve the quality of his characters/roleplay in-game. Consequently, we have not found it necessary to implement any additional punishments at this time. However, we are fully aware of these concerns surrounding Quiet Cowboy’s non-antagonist conduct. It is imperative to note that while an antag ban has been placed, your behavior outside of these roles requires a great deal of work. You have been playing on this server for a good majority of the year at this point, and it is expected that you should be well aware of our expectations for players. Interactions such as the ones outlined here are absolutely not enough to even qualify as the "bare minimum." In the aftermath of this antag ban, we strongly urge that you take time to work on fleshing out and developing your characters. While it might not be an easy task, simply playing rounds as a non-antag and actively working to establish yourself within the setting, will help you develop a stronger sense of RP as a result. To reiterate, @QuietCowboy. While we are not imposing any additional punishments at this time, we really need to see some actual efforts to improve your conduct here. If you are not already on the Discords, you should consider joining them and asking whatever questions you have as they come up. Likewise, if you are in-game, shooting us an ahelp is always a good idea as well. We are more than willing to give advice as best we can.

Hey there! Thank you for your application, unfortunately, we will be denying this application at this time. As you are newly returning to the server, we would like to see more play time as you reestablish your characters before granting you the Command WL trial. We also have concerns with the character background of William von Trust. Although it is not explicitly referenced in the application, it has come to our attention that you have been portraying him as a high-level investor within the SCC which is too out of the realm of realism for a command application. While you can certainly play a character that is a high-society Lunan, it is not reasonable to have a character who has close friends on the SCC Board of Directors. Ultimately, this did not factor into our decision for denial, but please rework this backstory before applying again. Best of luck in the future!

I would really, really like this and think it could be justified potentially now that the Solarian Civil War has ended. Along with the other reasons Goolies said. They've been gone for a long time, and Sol lore has developed so much in those years.

Hi, I will be taking this complaint. I had to wait a few hours to confirm this with Human Lore first. It is true though. Ennobled Secondaries cannot take the High Morozi accent and should have the Vulgar Morozi instead. I understand you have a suggestion up looking to change that now, @Spungus, but until a time that it is implemented or rejected, please switch Eloise's accent to Vulgar Morozi. I will be locking and archiving this shortly.

Just wanted to check up on this and see how things were going. Your trial will be over soon. Have you had much time to play as your command character? It would be very helpful to get some feedback from other players on your command playstyle, make sure you are advertising your application in OOC once per round.

I really like the idea of having two consular slots. Having two corporate representatives is fine if it can work, but I do not particularly care either way if it does or not. Though with the two consulars, is there something already implemented or in the works that would assign them to a specific office/restrict access to the other office? The only thing I have to say about the remap right now is maybe consider making the tables in the XO and Captain's offices wooden. Otherwise, I think it looks pretty good!

As others have said, I agree with the sentiment that the fear of "event captains" and command overall is overblown and hardly an actual issue. I'd be completely opposed to having staff handpick specific characters for roles for their events. Much better to leave it to the luck of the draw in my opinion.

Hey there, thanks for applying! Please review this post and update your application accordingly. For Head of Staff WLs, you should be applying as an actual head of staff role (not Consular/Corporate Representative) to play for the duration of your trial. Also--please expand on the rest of your answers. If you need an idea of how long these answers should be, refer back to the previous head of staff applications in the archive. Also, look to gather feedback on your application over the next few days from other players. Good luck!

Bumping this because I still think it’s a good idea

I would be absolutely against transitioning back to channels. From a staff side, it is much easier for us to keep track of and have new channels created. Previously it was incredibly time-intensive to create new channels and we were nearly constantly at our channel limit for the apartment category. And as for using the forum feature on my phone, I can't say I have ever experienced the crashing. I get that would be frustrating though.

Hey there, so @CampinKiller and I talked things over about this for a while. Although we don’t think any of this was malicious at all, we do believe that @Sparta9001, your performance as a First Responder is unsatisfactory to the degree of causing issues with the natural flow of rounds. This is not something that cannot be improved but the First Responder role is a difficult and chaotic one more often than not. Because of this, we are going to be placing a 2-week ban on you playing First Responder, during which we ask that you spend time playing Riona Kelly (or a new character) as a First Responder Intern in order to better understand the role and the systems at play here. This ban will not expire automatically, but after that 2-week period is up (25 June 2023), you are welcome to make a Ban Appeal and we'll move forward from there. Many players are more than happy to help show people their “tips and tricks” when it comes to playing their job, and it is strongly advised that you sincerely take this advice from them. No one here wants anyone to fail, so it’s just a process of getting yourself more familiar with how things should be done in the role you play. This is especially the case in a role that has such a steep learning curve as First Responder. We also suggest that you consider joining the "Department Hub" Discord server which can be found in the "affiliated_groups" channel on the Main Discord server. Although it is seldom used, it serves as a good place to ask specific questions that you might have.
