[2 Dismissals: Archived] Add back snake people for adminbus please
UnknownMurder replied to Scheveningen's topic in Archive
Suggestion Rules: Right now, I have no idea what "Snake People" are and haven't seen the sprite. I'm serious, I've never seen it. What do they do? Is it like this from XCOM as you've said? or even this? semi-NSFW content -
I don't really have a problem with people calling Head of Security as Commander. He's really your boss and Commander. Though as according to Wikipedia from which you pulled the source from, "Commander is a common naval and air force officer rank. Commander is also used as a rank or title in other formal organisations, including several police forces." This means, it's not just limited to military officer. Lastly, wrong sub-forum topic to put this into. Aurora Station SS13 lore is in 2459, and we're in 2017, there could have been a drastic change after 4 centuries. One lore dev can say that unathis decided to call their boss "Commander" and other species somehow adopts the trend of doing the same thing. I call them by "Head of Security, "Boss", and "Commander". If you hate it that much, you can tell people to stop calling you Commander and have them strictly call you "Head of Security". Again, I don't really have a problem, if the people wants to call them by that, then they can just call them by that. It doesn't really change anything. This is probably best in suggestion/general sub-topic if you want to make a strong change in influencing people's RP and gameplay. "Commander" sounds better than "Security Chief"

No need. It's already here.

Complete Garbage I'll just say this. It's space, there's hardly gravity in space. Just making stuff up like "Gravity Generators" to apply to asteroids to make asteroids have generators work. I see you're advocating for gameplay though that's not how it works. That's not how any of this works. Do not just say "Nanomachines, son. Bluespace, son. Hurrr Durrrr" There will be that person, or even a Research Director, like trying to make a clear sense out of what is a gravity to everyone. Then, people will enter a mental breakdown with gravity and how it functions. Although, Lohikar is the only person who has made a reasonable comeback.

FML, I make a detailed post and requires for me to login then erases the whole post requiring me to make a lesser than detailed to what I had in mind. I've lost the copied. I might as well as start typing on notepad the next time I made a detailed message. This should be enough to get message across. It would actually even be more bullshit if gravity also affected the asteroid. Polis Massa (play Star Wars Battlefront II for once) or to say a station on an asteroid wouldn't stretch gravity across the asteroid. This is what everyone expected the asteroid would be like at first before the testing came in. However, we still have that teleport across Z and sudden crashing to the floor bug wherin ShameOnTurtles and Sharp was made aware of it. While we're on the topic of gravity, allow me to ask questions regarding gravity. Where is the gravity pull of the asteroid? Is the gravity like Earth (9.807 m/s^2)? I would honestly have to reach to a compromise if the gravity was like the Moon (1.622 m/s^2) and the suggestion becomes a win-win suggestion. I'm glad that you prepared antagonists to be prepared for worst case scenario. This is actually still space station but on an asteroid. There's a saying that goes by and I mean by no attacks to the map or respected developers themselves, "A polished turd is still a turd." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ To play logic chess, I could tell you that you didn't provide a valid point to why do we have gravity applying across the asteroid in your previous post, which will eventually be reasoned and slowly deteriorate this issue into becoming realism vs. gameplay. Realism being only the gravity affects the station while gameplay being gravity affects the entire asteroid, station included. But of course, zero gravity cannot truly exists. As said, it would be best for the gravity was like the Moon. P.S. I am familiar with how the gravity system should be like but you miss the point of this suggestion, Complete Garbage. I play enough Science Fiction games and watched enough true science documentaries. The point of this suggestion is to remove/minimize gravity effect on the asteroid outside of the station. For people to suddenly falling down and breaking bones is just hefty and is enough to remove a person from the round if he dares to make a mistake. I know what I am talking about.

I'll be blunt. This is bullshit. What you are about to read is full of exaggeration and elaboration. Falling down the open space at zero gravity or a little more than zero. Why are there even gravity outside of the station? I propose a suggestion that throws out the system of a person falling instantly and crashing to the surface head on, thus suffering severe injuries. When I'd imagine people going out to space would be simple as jumping across the surface of the moon or bouncing/hopping across the asteroids. It would make sense for people to fall down instantly at zero gravity is when they have their magboots on and crush themselves, but without magboots, unbelievable. The gravity system should only apply station indoors, not outdoors because station indoors is where crew members can walk through and does not cover the entire outdoor of the station. At this moment, it is a huge hindrance to not only mercenaries or heisters but as well miners and science personnel trying to do their job which ends up getting killed.

Masuno Kukarumo is a wonderful character with interesting roleplay insights. Masuno can also be an interesting character as an antagonist to work with or against, furthermore Masuno himself is an interesting antagonist. The player, Mappel6, will in his best efforts to make the round interesting enough to involve everyone and I believe this particular habit can also be stretched out his command whitelist. +1

People asked this the same question and will always be no. I'll quote and post it here for you to read. If you want to join and assist people, join as assistant. There is no shame in being an assistant to help people or switch department to. If you join as visitor, you're off duty and not expected to work. In other words, they'd rather you to stay out of their way of work. I hope this answers your question. Just simply look at the manifest before you join and look at departments which needs the most assistance.

We're prepared now.

That's because it doesn't do anything other than harmlessly latch on your face.

One does not simply kill Lukas Chapman.

+1 It needs to be able to do tricks on orders.

I have witnessed this as well.

I choose not to chime in your complaint regarding the similar behavior activities the just occurred again. As a Security Cyborg S.T.U.N.B.A.T.O.N, you rushed at Edgar Dawngaurd despite his threat not to move whilst holding up a grenade. You may have been successful in capturing Edgar Dawngaurd but you chose to neglect one of your main responsibilities as a synthetic, to uphold your laws. In doing so, you have allowed a harm to a crew member, Security Officer Drake Bond being impacted by a grenade. To me as a roleplay oriented player, this shows that you will do whatever it takes to get the antagonist down, even to neglect your main responsibilities. -1

I don't feel interested in this. I feel to say that this is doable with assistance of administration in many game modes.

Guide to Toxins also definitely needs updating. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Guide_to_Toxins

[ACCEPTED] Zelmana's Head of Security Application
UnknownMurder replied to Zelmana's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Give this man a head of staff whitelist already. It has been a huge amount of time. He has shown enough dedication, respect, and integrity as a Security Officer and Warden. Zelmana is also a player who is the most motivated player wanting to become a Head of Security. These are signs of how successful head of staff a person can be. Zelmana advertises too much. I hope this is enough for you to stop advertising too much -
BYOND Key: UnknownMurder Total Ban Length: Permanent since 6/19/2017 as provided by CakeIsOssim| 36 Days Banning staff member's Key: Pikl Reason of Ban: "Wordlessly deathstinged the HoS after little confrontation. Was spoken to, and given his history, a ban was determined to be in order. I encourage you to attempt to appeal this ban when you feel ready. This ban has been issued by Pikl. This ban is indefinate." Reason for Appeal: I'm not going to do the same thing as the last ban appeal especially with the famous quote saying because I've started to think, it's kinda stupid of me to do it. Although, I do admit to having a little disagreement with the "little confrontation" with Head of Security Vira Taryk (Delta) on Pikl's part, although I did accept the antagonist ban in the end. To refresh everyone's mind with my recalling, I happened to see Vira Taryk after my RP shenanigan, that I do not remember, elsewhere. I decided to cross Vira Taryk off and had a little talk and was eventually threatened. As she proceeded to walk away, I had backstabbed her in the back with a death sting without a word. I would like request an antagonist ban appeal because as we pass through time, I had decided to self-discipline myself by laying off security roles and minimizing it and focusing more attention on Research and Development which as you see the growing awareness of Joseph Birkin, Research Director. I've started to love research a little more than getting involved with combat and I hope to apply this roleplay with antagonist positions. I also would like to give my second reasoning for an antagonist ban appeal because I voluntarily approached a former secondary admin, Ricky_the_banshee (Ricky_Madenson) then had a sit down and talk with how antagonists should roleplay and learning from my mishap with assassination of Head of Security, Vira Taryk. Giving myself the time to re-familiarize of how 2 be antagonists for dummies. Lastly, this is on my personal reason, as soon new map of Aurora Station has been released, I've started to become jealous of people who plays antagonist especially during Crossfire or Paranoia. Especially in Uprising (Cultists + Revolution), things became awkward for me. I was forced to pick sides while everyone's knives were pointed at me and I couldn't due to antagonist ban. I tried to slowly work things out and it didn't work out. So, I hid somewhere. That scenario puts me in tight spot as a person with antagonist ban. Thank you for giving the moment of your time to read through this. I certainly hope we can talk things out.

It is my fault that I have took too long to close this and made my real life a priority than SS13. Appropriate actions have been taken. Closing incident report and moving.

Is this true story or what? If so, I'm worried about you hivefleetchicken .
