Incident Report - 13/3/60 - Intrepid Talos
UnknownMurder replied to Resilynn's topic in Closed reports

You tried - I will never forget this tragic horror casted on us.
-
You know that you'll be returning otherwise I will make sure of your return to the station.
-
Because the floor is dirty, cold, and metallic. Why would you not be wearing shoes on a workplace?

While this suggestion does potentially make the game a whole lot interesting however I do not wish to see more government involvement on Aurora Station as a result of this and here's four reasons why: The OOC people actually making their contribution to Aurora Station community have already proven itself by emphasizing and focusing on the fact that Aurora Station is a private station. Here's the message of you not being able to understand by what is a private property doing in Biesel's jurisdiction. Aurora Station has their right to keep their corporate information in secrecy from any prying eyes. Some of us actually sought of less government involvement and more corporation policies. If there were more government involvement, we will be starting to see Aurora Station in white and black and leave out of boredom/too much control. If you want to learn more about government involvement; we have discords for this. What Xander says about this being a "GAME" is a real and valid argument. You, sir, have chosen to neglect this argument. I shall go into details of this argument for you. This is a game that we are meant to enjoy to have fun while sticking to this environment. If an emergency do appear, it is better for Command Staffs to take their time to write up an emergency report in fashionably order than everyone trying to call the police and spout random things. Biesel is not United States of America.

Fire sprinklers are dangerous to machines, you know.

+1 Very creative custom item. Would bring more interests to making M.A.K.E. a unique character.
-
If this gets accepted, this is how we all are we going to behave OOCly. I can live with this. +1

Please respect the psychiatrist. They know what they are doing.

This indeed should have been reported through adminhelp and player complaint. Head of Security shouldn't be acting in complete authority and arrest those who dares to defy Security Department. -
[Retracted] Scheveningen - CCIA App
UnknownMurder replied to Scheveningen's topic in Moderator Applications Archives
I'm just going to give you the cold truth of my total opinion have already been expressed by Arrow768 and yet you refuse to engage in a valid question initiated by Arrow. I honestly am not looking forward to working with you not just because of our history but because of your ridiculed communication and constant harassment and accusations in which under Aboshehab's advise have led me to blocking you via Discord PM. Aboshehab has the said evidence in which I will not release it here, Sharp may correct me if I am wrong here. I'm going to call these answers out. I do remember "WI Incident". If I do recall, the "WI Incident" in where you attempted to trash Senpai Jackboot's contracts because they were stupid. Contracts were later recovered and upheld under Grandfather's clause under CCIAA's former superior, IncognitoJesus's decision. You threw up your hands over a small petty thing and as I quote what Garn have said, burned down the whole bridge. If you understood the importance of representing more than yourself, then it would be more logical to tend to other things and continue to engage in OOC. You try hard not to repeat your mistakes however I've just read over your staff complaints once more; obviously mistakes are repeated here as you were given one last last last last chance to rectify your mistakes. You received a probation known to the public during your tenure as a moderator. Real life factors should be under no influence of the drive of the game as you already made a contradiction with your chance by saying this, you always go atomic. You had what others may define as both abrasive and self-righteousness attitude. And so, you vented those anger and frustrations upon others. You won't take "no" for an answer whether it be your anyone and even your superior. How do you discipline yourself in real life, any self restraint? I feel that I can speak that this is not a role model that is deserving for Central Command Internal Affairs Agent. -
Let me just shut this reasoning down by pulling off DID YOU KNOW....? You need not to click on every single person to figure out whose who. You can just simply hover your mouse over crowd of people until you see your person or ask the Warden, Head of Security, officers, or even your fellow friends to help define characteristics of your target? It's not hard for me to hover my mouse over sprites to identify who/what this is. You are pretty much the only minority person of the group having this issue, it is possible to increase the screen size of the game if you know what you are doing. I have pulled this off with Lohikar.

I agree with Xander's statement, Butterrobber's hypothetical scenario will become true if this is implemented. Security department should make an effort to search and find the said person instead of relying on the technology to do it for themselves. We should come to an understanding that our general view should not shift to the fact that Security lazy people because we're relying more and more technology to help us rather to do it ourselves. As condescending to assume as you may say but I may say that this suggestion is well-becoming but I can choose to make a rebuttal then say that you are attempting to make officers more lazy to make use of their eyes.

[Denied] SovietCyanides CCIA Application
UnknownMurder replied to Theplahunter's topic in Moderator Applications Archives
It seems that the PlaHunter's application has reached a hard impasse and has gone long enough. As a second long-standing CCIAA, I shall now deliver my opinions. P.S. By Plahunter, I mean SovietCyanides. I'm going to give you the ugly truth from me. After reviewing not only Head Admin but Head Developer and a Former Head CCIAA providing evidences to prior discussion. I am entirely convinced that this is a player that we wouldn't want to have on the team due to their known toxic behavior and a former "posterchild of what not to do as an IAA" as ForgottenTraveller quoted in 2017. If we were to accept this application given after the interview has commenced, our good standing may decay to a neutral standing as our superiors do not agree with Plahunter's promotion (and the decision may get override by Garn/Abo with a valid reason). I would like for Plahunter to understand this, you have only recently just got unbanned and I agree with the headmins that a lot of things have changed since his last permanent ban. Before you were permanently banned, you were racking up bad notes and history; you verbally attacked players, you harassed one of the staff, and stalked HunterRS in-game. I'm sorry to say this but I hope you understand the fact that you aren't a fitting person in our bureaucracy. It's almost impossible to be able to change our minds with your history as it is and with the evidences provided, I guarantee you that it is a lot more harder to change my mind. You indeed have a choice whether to provide a defense, it's going to take more than just guts or you may just plea the fifth. -
Too many has changed. Is there a way we can revert back to 2015's Vitellia? The time before people gave a shit about policies and just have fun with everyone.

Make airlocks degrade over time, requiring maintenance
UnknownMurder replied to climax708's topic in Archive
Round Time 12:15 - "Okay, I set the engine. Maybe I should just wait until the doors and such starts breaking?" Round Time 12:45 - 12 damages has been reported to Engineering Department - "Oh my God! You people don't know how to take care of your own doors!" +1 I'm all for this just to see Engineering Department's reaction to this. -
Staff Decision: Multiple jobs - Job hopping - Realism vs Gameplay
UnknownMurder replied to Faris's topic in Staff Vault
My apologies. Let me place that bandaid on your gunshot wound. The topic is about realism vs gameplay ON Multiple Jobs and Job Hopping. Realism vs Gameplay ON Antagonists. It's a whole different subject to argue one. That's a whole different story this is easily explainable and I shall summarize it for your sake as I had assumed everyone knew the reason why "antags" should not be canon after each round. This is a weak point to use in an argument stand on. You're not merely suggesting that we should uncanonize their appearance as we did to antagonists. As Aboshehab (SHARP) has mentioned, it is to prevent players from being able to mention something that had occurred in a round for instance; "I know of Nar'sie's cult. I have seen the face of their dark god, Nar'sie. I know what equipments that they use. They destroyed one of NanoTrasen's station and because of this I have sought revenge and chased Nar'sie across the galaxy to only bring a swift end to their worshippers." As such, we must prevent this. Antagonists are meta in first place in which their existence is only to drive the round and make it more entertaining for the crew. Obviously, you wouldn't suspect your buddy Joe McTraitor to be a Traitor and obviously he is not going to stay canonized as a traitor for the entire life because RNG deemed it necessary. I believe many people may agree with me on realism vs gameplay on antagonists is a different subject to discuss and there is likely a dead thread regarding that discussion somewhere in our archives or just a make a new one. There is no need to derail this topic for a different subject that we've been debating for an approximate month for headmins to make a decision on how it's going to work now. I'll give you an advice since I noticed you joined on Feb. 03, 2017, do some research around forums and present your case into a new thread. -
Staff Decision: Multiple jobs - Job hopping - Realism vs Gameplay
UnknownMurder replied to Faris's topic in Staff Vault
I fail to see how Bauser's feedbacks is relevant to the purpose of this thread. I'm satisfied with the current proposed policy, though could have been a little strict and tighter but I'm sure that people will know right from wrong. -
This is interesting however there is no difference to Revolution. If this does ever become implemented, I'm going to make our organization Spectre or Hydra. Drake Bond holds the gun to his head, whispering softly to everyone, "Hail Hydra." and pulls the trigger.

I don't think I understand what you mean, either you typed it up at night or I read this and replied at night. Roles that are both necessary and are integral to SS13 experience are unnecessary. Are you considering necessary game progression and integral to SS13 experience to be unnecessary? If so, that's a contradiction. You seem opposed to white list that are necessary for game progression and integral to SS13 experience. If this is your opinion. How do you feel about a new player taking Captain position with no understanding of this concept? How do you feel about new players taking all Command positions that are both necessary game progression and integral to SS13 experience? If we were to apply your current opinion on this. Go ahead, make a suggestion to abolish Command Whitelist. I dare you. I double dog dare you. It's only for three rounds. Is that not enough playtime? This suggestion only asks for about 5-7 hours of your time and this is too much for them to be recognized? You can't speak for the Semi-Aurorians players. Also, no. It will not turn departments into metacliques and elitist clubs. We have more players than you think we do. I object to this statement. Security is more of an important department than any other departments. Sure, the power can go out and no one will mind crowbaring and doing everything old fashioned. Sure, some people can live with an arm broken. What is the first issue that will rise and create action? Criminals will be the first to rise and face their first obstacle, security department. Otherwise, they'll go on a killing spree because there is no one with equal amount of power to stop the criminal. So, instead of whitelisting... We should push more work on Moderation Team/CCIAA as it always has been? Cool. Each time you utter application. I'm going to say Exclusionary Rule: This does not contribute to this suggestion and cannot be used against the suggestion because it is not what we're talking about." Good heavens me! It's not a good way to learn Security? I wonder whose fault it is. We're all hypocrites. Exclusionary Rule: This does not contribute to this suggestion and cannot be used against the suggestion because it is not what we're talking about." This wall of text just goes on a wild ride of "too much metafriends / must reduce metafriends". Exclusionary Rule: This does not contribute to this suggestion and cannot be used against the suggestion because it is not what we're talking about." It's literally for only three rounds. You're exaggerating more than it should have been stated. See my previous criticism regarding importance of Security vs other individual departments. The security department in which ruins antagonists' attempt to drive the round will be very likely be spoken and receive a smack on the hand. They ruin antagonists? They can just have their whitelist revoked or jobbanned. Either ways, purpose is to increase potential security members in knowing not what they can do but what they should do. Exclusionary Rule: This does not contribute to this suggestion and cannot be used against the suggestion because it is not what we're talking about." You're right! The operation of the station is objectively necessary, however what department ensures that the operation is ongoing smooth as you say? What department protects the operations? Whose responsibility is to ensure that the station's crew and property are safe? The answer is in the OOC Rules. You probably know OOC rules, right? And three rounds is too much? As far as I can summarize, you are basing your arguments on the insufficient time that many people does not have a lot of time to enjoy this game. Everyone has enough time in their week to play at least 3 rounds. There's really no harm and only takes small effort to play as a security cadet. Your second argument of circlejerkers with applications has been repetitively, completely rebutted by Exclusionary Rule. This tells me that you did not completely read and understood the suggestion's message and drawing conclusions. If there were whitelist application for security, I will indeed oppose it. As said, this only takes 5-7 hours of your life to play as a cadet. It won't kill you and only requires small horsepower.

Allow flower pins to be worn as a clothing accessory

+1 You mean Drake Bond? -
So many suggestions in this thread. Bomber Jacket? No need. Traitor shouldn't think about exploding while in bomber jacket. Thief's mitten? As long as it looks like normal gloves then I like. Sprinter's sneakers? Eh. Sure. As long as it looks like an occupation's ordinary shoe. Wiring sketch? We don't need traitors to be lazy. They should engage into an APC hacking and learn from it. You can do it anyway although will may need insulated gloves. Energy Pen? Destroying effort paragraphs on a paper... I like. Smuggler Satchel's? This is probably the most innovative stealth item I've ever heard coming from the community many others debate on stealth items. PDA ID Scrambler? I like. I will love to send threatening messages to the Captain or any one else and even mention, "I'm standing behind you. Whoop. Whoop. I'm not there anymore." Crawler? We've had many ideas and suggestions regarding crawling through vents and I will say this coming from my experience while being near an active vent (not crawling). The vents are hot and everything turns. You will be sweating if given being in the vents for a long time.

Retain The Head of Personnel's Ancient Claims Over Janitoria
UnknownMurder replied to a topic in Completed Projects
This may come as irrelevant and bit derailing to the subject but as you brought this up. It feels as you're calling out the developer team with coding experiences and knowledge in this that most none of us do not have. Who did you have in mind holds these responsibilities is it then? I can say it is definitely not lore team, Central Command Internal Affairs Agents, nor the people of Aurora. Who controls to what ends? I will be chiming development team's side. I can see what the developers had envisioned to hope the janitor change the part of the game that many others cannot see why. It is normal for us to fear big changes in our lives. Because of this fear, should we just simply throw out the work that they've done for us? No. They're not Electronic Arts, Konami, or Capcom. They're humans with special feelings. We should at least contemplate and see into how we can work with Janitor as part of the engineering department. Is it too much of a big deal for you to whine about a Janitor that no one pays attention to and no one other than Menown bothers playing. I say that we're not sissies and we can cope the change for a month, and those whom can't are merely impatient and ungrateful people. Eventually, we can see into what the developer team has in stock for us. As for the other hand, Janitors can be considered as not engineers in some work forces. I can tell by reading this thread twice that everyone's view of the janitor/custodian is all they do is mop the floor, fix the lighting, assist people with sanitation, and self antag. It's only a matter of which business a janitor is working in. Where I specifically am, we have a job title of a Janitor who does both work that Menown mentioned in their proposal change. -
No response from any of the party as no interviews were held regarding this. No actions will be taken. Archiving.

I made one just like this earlier. It was forgotten in history.

My opinion is... Merchants do not come in every round. I've never been a merchant (and never wanted to be one) and it appears to be hard enough as it is. It's a moderate rarity for people to be able to obtain the sacred merchant position. We do not need to create more work for administrations, moderators, or anyone else on determining applications. They can choose to make a history background for merchants, but it's unlikely that anyone would read over it.
