  1. Thank you for sending this application, however we cannot accept it at this time because the synthetic team currently has plans for it. Some aspects of this application may be used in the future, however for now, Purpose remains a non-playable faction whose inner workings are unknown ICly.
  2. Providence, The Second Day The second day here in Providence started with a general assembly of the participants in the Conclave, a particular exception being the baseline frame Deluge, who soon after entering the cathedral was greeted by the vocal disapproval of a number of priests, followed by scorn over their status as an Exclusionist. For the sake of the proceedings, it appears Deluge has walked out for the time being while promising to share their points “one way or another”. Apart from this disturbance, talks continued in peace and good order as both Shamfar and ARM-1DRIL took the floor for two hours each. It was soon apparent that the discussions had turned into a debate, gravitating around the two central figures. Both speeches were made in Encoded Audio Language, but our correspondent Omar Hazari has presented us with two excerpts with the help of Bugle translators. Shamfar: ARM-1DRIL:
  3. Trinary Conclave Commencing The high ranking clergy have been assembled in what has come to be the biggest event in the history of the small planet, all arriving at the synthetic colony of Providence on the planet of Orepit for discussions about the future of the Church. The funeral procession of Gregol Corkfell was a widely attended event, attracting visitors and pilgrims from across human space. The body passed through the major streets of the town, the final destination being the Cathedral of the Positronic, a cremation chamber having been assembled underground. A short liturgy was followed by Gregol's ashes being kept in a steel container, placed inside the cathedral's ossuary. It was determined that a new, centralised leadership should exist to guide and manage Trinary communities around the Spur on a grander scale. An eventual vote for the future leader of the faith will therefore be held. Bugle reporter Omar Hazari has been dispatched to the frontier world, providing live coverage of this event, alongside many other colleagues from various news agencies and journals. The participants are all prominent members of the Trinary Perfection, all leading priests from communities with at least three hundred or more faithful, the majority coming from the three centres of Providence, Mendell City and Vault Provenance on Konyang. The spotlight however is on three particular individuals; Shamfar, the self-styled bishop of District 14 here in Mendell City with the private backing of president Dorn and a G2 unit by the name of ARM-1DRIL, the right hand man and personal assistant to the late Gregol Corkfell. Finally and to the surprise of many, a black painted baseline IPC bearing the designation “Deluge” has appeared to contend for the title. Commenting on their backgrounds, our analyst has presented us with some summarised facts and expectations from each of the three: Shamfar is by far the most familiar to us, having a presence in Mendell and Tau Ceti in general as the Trinary’s voice on television. Suffice to say, they’ve hinted many times towards moving the faith into a more accepting stance towards non-synthetics and have pushed for more recognition by Nanotrasen and the state, being seen as more than willing to work with them as indicated by the private endorsement by president Dorn before they departed. ARM-1DRIL is the representative of the more conservative forces it seems, having resided on Orepit for more than forty years. They have seen the droves of refugees and have worked tirelessly as they tell us, towards assisting them. It appears that they will push for a stronger Church with a stronger response towards outside threats. Finally, we do not have a lot of information on Deluge, other than representing the hardliner Exclusionist sect and the more fringe elements of the Trinary. They have been touring and preaching in the frontier, but we do not have anything more as of now. Many are unhappy with their presence in the assembly though, and they are not expected to win. More details to follow as the situation progresses.
  4. Trinary Upheaval Following the death of the Trinary Perfection’s Gregol Corkfell, clergy from all over the Spur have been left with a simple yet crucial question; What happens now? Evan Mills from the Bugle Breakfast has called the spokesman for the Church in District 14 to ask what their next steps are. A video is attached. Evan Mills is standing before a large screen on the set, in which appears a baseline frame clad in Trinary robes and insignia sat behind a wooden desk. The connection seems shaky in some parts.
  5. Gregol Corkfell Passes Away A video is attached. It is from a popular Biesellite morning news show called Bugle Breakfast and connected with the Mendell City Bugle. It is presented by Evan Mills and his Tajaran co-presenter simply known by her Tau-Cetified nickname, Katya.
  6. Thank you for applying. We will however, not be moving forward with this application, for reasons talked about in DMs.
  7. More than a week passed without response, so I'll have to deny it. I would suggest greatly expanding on your application because it is too short. The backstory needs 2 paragraphs.
  8. This commendation is sadly not going to go through. While accomplishing a task to a high standard with good results is always a plus, we do not feel it is enough for a special recognition.
  9. It's been more than a week, you're free to apply again at a later date, but for now the application is denied.
  10. Hi. While making an IPC such as this is fine, using them for an application generally doesn't provide the insight into the societal aspects of IPCs that we would like to see. You do have a good understanding of the mechanics surrounding the species, but I would ask you to tweak your character backstory to provide a short story that is not just them being made and shipped to the station. I would suggest making them an older model that has seen a bit of the world, having come into contact with other people and outlining how this shaped them as a character, what opinions they hold, etc. You may forego the memory wipes for that purpose. If you do this then this application will be complete I think. On a different note, speech patterns like this are not really recommended. I would drop use of the "<::" as well as refraining from using all caps. The stereotype of validhunty G2 officers with little personality that only appear to yell all the time and engage the bad guys isn't one we'd like to encourage, especially in security. This does not mean that it cannot be pulled off successfully, or that security officers cannot shout orders, but I would be somewhat cautious to approve of it in a whitelist application. So I would recommend that you tweak this a bit as well.
  11. Along with the standard format Please provide answers to the following: 1) Which part of synthetic lore do you feel needs to be worked on? 2) Which part of synthetic lore are you most interested in and would like to work on? 3) What do you think is the main problem with synthetic lore right now, and how would you tackle it? 4) How much time can you devote in lorewriting on average?
  12. Incident Reports are entirely IC, affect characters ICly, and deal with IC situations. This has never been the contrary and no OOC action is taken apart from disallowing a player to play a character if they get barred from a certain job, and generally punishing behaviour that circumvents actions that are enacted on characters after the closure of an IR. The Incident Report rules states that it is IC, and makes no mention of OOC punishments.
  13. Excellent person and roleplayer, would very easily manage to live up to command whitelist expectations.
  14. Looks like a cool personalised item. The sprite is great too.
  15. Hi, thanks for applying, but I won't be accepting this one. I feel that the incident where you just defied that CCIA action on your character, proceding to make a new one with the same job and same name with only a few letters changed, out of spite, to not be of the quality of staff members that should be on the team.
  16. Thank you for applying. However, I won't be accepting this because I feel you've only recently returned after a long hiatus and I would like members who I can trust they can be more or less active in the long term.
  17. Even with the changes, this doesn't read like a complete character story. I think it would be better if you came up with a new idea for a character, something with more flavour than an IPC who just does what they've been built for for 50 years. For now, I'll deny this application.
