I feel it's unnecessary and bloat. I prefer the current sprites, though I'm sure others may want the aviators.

My choice is with option two. Admittedly I'm a long term player in regards to Tajara and I've got to say the most compelling reason to play them originally all those years ago was due how under the thumb they were meant to be, don't be seen, be silent, do what you're told. Being a head of staff wasn't even a thought, which was great, the general speciesism is what made it fun. You had to disobey people subtly, if you got angry at someone, nod your head and mutter while walking off; admittedly this is where cliques started becoming horribly evident which isn't great. It'd be nice to have some inner-racism go on, but how could we pull this off considering who NT is currently in bed with?

I'm not sure if this was stated or updated, but being able to order E-carbines would be nice!

I personally don't see a problem with the service roles if they have a believable reason and do the stuff they're there for. Service roles are essentially about the roleplay anyhow, they don't tend to be the core involvement in a round. Now if they joined as a chef, and started acting as security, who're fully staffed. That's probably an issue, dunno.

As for the meatshield thing, funnily enough from previous experience I'm pretty sure they still act as a meatshield, as long as you have the grab. Back on old station I merc'd the fuck out of people with f-gloves and meatshielding. Good ol' days.

Essentially I'd like for the rest verb, or perhaps if this isn't necessary great, keep the person who pressed it limp until they want to get up! Allows us to be the angry protester who won't comply by remaining on the floor, or perhaps the utterly terrified person who won't stand because there are spooky scary skeletons! That's actually basically it, I don't wanna keep having to use the rest verb to remain on the floor if my legs are limp. :<

The species is in a good place, considering the crap they get thrown at them, it's gone from it's just furries being furries, to people trying to create interesting characters.

Pretty much agree with Rabbit, and, it's been brought up before that just like the stun revolvers which now like the memes they are, spawn in the armory, and are thus then rarely ever used due to it not being worth the effort of getting. Though they will still be in the game, this would remove a piece of gear; what ranged self-defense tool would replace it? Suggestably, magazine based laser/taser weaponry could fix this, admittedly.

Agree for the most part, but I'd prefer to see ninja reduced. Not generally the most fun of antags, possibly some have fun, however my overall impression of the antag type hasn't been overall great and less than stellar. However have had good experiences with Ling, and with our new wizard they both can bring interesting action to the station, where as the ninja is near constantly a teleport to station, teleporter around fuckery type of deal; unless admins intervene and add more ninjas to the round which has often lead to very interesting rounds.

+1 Abo is a respectable roleplayer. I do have a question though, a very generic one which is typically asked; Why did they choose NT? What is his stance towards other factions. His stance towards the Njarir? Good bio! Really short and sweet, nails giving an understanding background while leaving the details light enough to develop the character as you wish.

Alright to answer these two off of the bat! The idea behind Derek is he's an old gentlemen, a career soldier, a person who has for almost the entirety of his life shown nothing but a fearless face, to be the brave general, the commander of men. The type who will tell you to jump, and how high to do so. This is meant to come across as, when getting older, his ability to show emotion other than shouting or berating has been stunted severely which shows in the way his kids, his grand children, his great great grand children show only contempt towards someone they should love and cherish. During the last moments of his life, it must hit one to realize the situation you are in. In a care home, where others have shown you scorn, where a human will no longer come to your side, to talk, to show emotion and contact. What a shitty way to die. Yet, this android, one who has stood by your side for days, weeks, months; years! Has done nothing but smile at you, after having smacked a glass from their hand. After telling them they did something wrong, not to your standards. What a bastard he must have been, in that one moment, with the ongoing conflict, with SolGov now pulling out and Synths rallying everywhere; why not give this person who was bought to especially serve you, to make your life comfortable a chance to continue to exist after death? In his final moments, maybe, on his death bed with an emulated smiling servant upon his bed-side he finally had his moment of compassion, as brief as it was. NT comes into this story as Aaliyah's new keepers/handlers/maintainers. They've bought a decent IPC for very little cost, with the only additional overhead being that they need to give them additional programming to put them up to scratch of that as a medical doctor. It does sound weak, but, it's hard to insert your character into a company I find and with IPCs this can be a little harder I think. They get an IPC with an already programmed personality which would suit their needs. As for the apologetic bit, Aaliyah was created with the mindset of the customer is always right, no matter what. As perfect as an action can be, it is their fault if a fault is found. Serve with a smile, try not to be noticed, be in the background but be at hand. Aaliyah is meant to be the perfect servant, never questioning, only doing; and anything done should be done perfectly! And should they find it not perfect? You did it wrong; apologize, say sorry, you've caused an inconvenience. Hope that explains it a little, I hope! Plz tell me if u wantin' da explanations bawss.

In the regards to synthetics, they suffer heavy bias against them due to the fact that they are considered property and largely, that they are machines obediently serve their masters, which leads to organisations such as Atlas and the Synthetic Liberation Front fighting and arguing over supposed synthetic rights. I also have enjoyed so far displaying something close to displeasure, an emotion, in my synthetic. This same principle can be carried over into IPCs, programmed directives that must be adhered to in the form of laws- and in the case of antags the form of bad laws.   Character Name:Aaliyah Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs I have to thank Coalf for helping me find direction after I changed my mind about a previous IPC app I nearly finished, and decided against it: IPC’s, machines capable of solving tasks, capable of killing without hesitation, working without a single drop of sweat and building without asking questions. These machines are designed with a single purpose with mind and once they outlive their purpose they are thrown out, destroyed. But such fate doesn’t only meet synth’s as Derek Stevens found out. You see Derek outlived his use; he was an old man in the wrong position and so his family had him removed, taken into a nursing home to slowly rot away. His body was dying but his mind wasn’t. Day after day the people that took care of him ran away, in tears, in pain or with curses on their tongue, something had to be done. Aaliyah was created, if they couldn’t break Derek, they’ll give him someone he himself can’t break. Day after day Aaliyah would get no praise, no thanks, only harsh words, punishments and constant berating, “Do this!”, “Clean that!”, “Not that you stupid robot!”. But no matter how hard Derek was, no matter how cruel he acted the response was always the same, “I apologise, I’ll do it again sir.”. Eventually at the age of 112 Derek died his only companion a creature made of metal, silicone, and synth-flesh. The family rejoiced, with Derek out of the way inheritance could finally be settled, house, money, company, furniture and finally Aaliyah. To everyone’s surprise Derek’s last audiotape regarding his inheritance was made only a month before his death in it was one last single wish. For the first time Derek spoke a kind word about someone or at least something, Aaliyah was as he said himself the only thing keeping him going and even though he hated the IPC he just couldn’t bring himself to destroy it, and thus Aaliyah wasn’t scrapped after outliving it’s purpose, instead, it was given new purpose by new owners, who bought it for a fair price; another chunk of inheritance for the greedy few. And what better company than the large NanoTrasen organisation, accepting of synthetic workforce, and one which they can re-program into a much needed medical field, where patience and kindness go hand in hand. What do you like about this character? I like this character because it falls on the serving without question theme, being sorry and apologetic about every action you take, even if those actions aren’t bad, or not even your fault. Get shut down by an EMP and rebooted at robotics? Immediately apologize for your untimely shut-down and the inconvenience it caused. Someone calls you a fuckin’ robot? Apologize for your mechanical nature. An owned robutt who serves with an emulated smile, even in a bad situation. How would you rate your role-playing ability? Okay I guess, I dunno. I guess, not overly much of a shitter? Notes: I rather liked Deathnote, it was a good animoo. Not really sure what to put here, truthfully.

Riqpley seems to have stopped playing the main target in question, and in my opinion, seems to have cooled his jets a little. This at-least comes from my experiences with his new Tajara Fahurl (Probably spelt wrong) and generally seems to stand back, rather than chase them valids. Though admittedly I have had a somewhat limited interaction.

I'd like to see it not as an emotable thing, but as a thing that happens when you genuinely take damage; if you're conscious.

I think I'd like to see xeno-shells added back, but restricted to whitelists that people already have. So for an example, you could have a lizard IPC shell, but that player requires both whitelists. I feel shells could bring further synthetic conflict, personally, as some species will see a shell mimicking them as an abomination and show true hatred towards it, rather than the semi-accepted hugbox that we currently have in regards to synthetics.

I think you're looking way too deep into a simple vote call, sure he posts like a meme sometimes in OOC to appear funny, but, otherwise he's doing what others do in regards to vote calling.

I support moving the flashbangs to the armory, but I do not support Arrow's public armory access change suggestion.

I was involved in this round, and also have had many experiences with Manfred as a few of my characters. This ban doesn't seem, in my opinion, justified for what took place. A person took steps to strive to improve the station due to the aggressive undertones the station had. His actions had no negative impact upon the round, other than when the CE decided to remove said gasses from the window in a very poor manner. Sure, if the riots had gone on it would then have an impact, but the gasses are very noticeable and antagonists only need to take a single precaution to avoid this, which is internals or gas mask- and even then I'm pretty sure the windows would have failed to effect characters due to the low amount of gasses inside, but I wasn't able to see how much was put in. Manfred as a character is very unorthodox at times, and that's fine, ingenuity on a research station should more than likely be expected, wanted, and nurtured since ingenuity brings innovation, and innovation brings creation, and the best of all: Profit. However should his unorthodox methods bring attention of others, they should be dealt with ICly, which is why we have the CCIA, despite their failings. "Paraphrased; Not receiving permission from a Chief Engineer to make an atmospheric modification involving N2O in the bridge's electrified window space as an anti-tamper agent. "History of atmospherics issues and Poor play"." This does not need OOC intervention, this is solely an IC issue with an engineer going over the head of his superior. Now if he had put N20 in the main distro line, then that's an OOC issue, but, this is not.

I would like for us to import TG's voice of god mechanics for the Njarir . . . . . :v
