I was in medical that round, I heard nothing from the captain about helping you with the experiment, hell i reported it and someone told me to call security. I also ahelped to check if it was valid, which turned out to be not the case. I tried to explain to why you fucked up ICly, but it turns out the mention on slimification wasn't in station directives, but it does mention experiments. Xenobiology is one of the places that start with monkey cubes that you can test all sort of things on, I can't fathom why you would turn yourself into a slime with no genetic backup or anything for an experiment.

Certainly a fresh take on the Tajaran character backstories, the story yet leaves much to be desired, It seems the character was so sheltered that "PRA Is good other are bad" is the only knowledge they know about the conflict, we also barely know anything about the cat other than them just hating the conflict and wanting to get out of dodge as soon as a possible, as much as to leave their sheltered family and venture to spess. which bring another point, what exactly can they do to earn a living? they stole some money, alright. they ended up in biesel, free and broke; how did they manage to live? what education, experince or qualification do they have? when did they get them? how well did it go and how did it effect them if at all? how did they end up working for NT? how do they feel about it? and back on conflict subject, you said you love the 3 side conflict and the RP it can bring about, but the character has betrayed and escaped the only side they respected, what is their standing now? do they still believe in the PRA but they just don't want to deal with the pressure on adhomai or did human influence change it's standing? all these are subjects you can touch on to expand on the story, because right now it's very bland and not very different from a "cat raised in space and doesn't know what an ALA is". I'm sure you've read the lore by now so I don't think I'll need to give any more ideas in what parts of your story to expand on. while i don't mind giving a +1 right now, I'd like to see how you respond to this. -
I liked the first half of your first replies more than the rest. but not the rest. It's ironic you keep telling people they're mixing IC and OOC, when you've claimed someone's hate for your character to be an OOC grudge, that's some good mental gymnastics. Just like the former player complaint, you would rarely if ever admit something you did was wrong unless a person in position of power says otherwise, something you share with your character. as orians mentioned, asshole characters are fine, but yours can't be worked around with; especially a job like the head of security is very critical and what seems to be your complete disregard to other people's OOC opinion on him just shows you're not ready for it. the feedback system is made so you and the staff can see if what you're roleplaying is fun/good/whatever for the other players, and if a lot of players point out how your character is not fit, nor is he fun to play with and your only answer is "well it's all IC" you are failing to see the point in a head of staff's OOC obligations and I honestly don't think you would improve if you're given the whitelist with the current mindset.

I Don't know what you people are smoking, the character adolph is simply terrible to work with. He has usually no respect to anyone but females he tries to hit on, disrespects even heads of staff ordering him and borderline / outright refusing orders (waving away a HoP), little regard to contraband regulations (i once gave security a knife and he instantly shoved it into his boot) and abusing prisoners because they called him short. I know there's a lot of officers not happy woth working with adolph and i don't think he's the kind of character that'd get promoted to a leadership position. 1- from me till you make a character that isn't the incarnation of a bad security leader. You did improve since first joining but adolph is still terrible to work with ICly, I even heard someone not wanting to join/cryoing because adolph is on the manifest. Adolph as he is now will have more of a reason to ignore other heads of staff and maybe even the captain if he doesn't like him and i don't think we need more anti-social command staff.

Handcuffs are not broken, there isn't a need to fix things that aren't broken. Handcuffs were already nerfed by virtue of removing both the cuffs and unbuckling, meaning you actually have a chance when you resist out of a chair. since this update I've been seeing more and more people getting a chance at escape. What I think should be added would be an RnG timer to remove them(instead of static for each cuff type), and that the message that you are removing your cuffs only shows up to people next to you.

this was brought up in discord, it seems mercs/heisters cant really tell where the hell the station is while EVA on middle/lower levels, someone suggested a mining tunnel running the outskirts of the asteroid.

i was the janitor, i was trying to be passive aggressive to the kells, saying things like "im here to clean all your filth and trash, like blood, vomit, kells and packaging trash" and would spray any kell i see with space cleaner when i pass them. but the pure hate the kells were getting over comms overshadowed my passive aggressive attempts.

James huff is one of the few engineers who are not snub nosed, I've never noticed anything bad from them, during antag or whatnot interactions. I dare say he's one of the few if not the only non-snowflake engineer main around lately. +1 from me. edit: while the reason to play them seems more towards mechanical benefits than lore, and that's bothering me a bit; I haven't noticed any powergaming done by huff. -
as long as you took criticism to heart and realized your earlier mistakes then I have no issues with you at all now, hell I like you a bit. not everyone can accept the errors they've taken. on a more positive note: for a new officer, sophie is pretty robust compared to the average officer.
-
The time with Aramis was when she was actively disobeying command and resisting arrest (something I have vowed to fix) and she did not want you running away to tell the officers where she was - there was a reason behind what she did (yes, it was a breach in regulations). The other time is a pending IR and I do not want to comment on it too much, I hope you can understand. I don't think its fair to say she breaks regulation 'quite a bit' based on two encounters with her, but I have taken that into account when it comes to developing my character. There's also the time you stomped on a guy after he was downed about 4 times because he punched you in the back. and who knows what other incidents there was, but that was a while ago. the point is security is given so much equipment to not cause any actual harm, but more often than i would like, you would go for the damaging route. that usually doesn't put your character in favorable view, and for someone seeing you for the first time they'd label you a generic shitcurity officer.
-
STOP BREAKING THE LAW, CRIMINAL SCUM but seriously, Sophie breaks regulations almost on a daily basis from what i've observed, abusing prisoners, unneeded use of force etc etc, at this rate they'll get fired by the DOs. i don't know if they've changed lately but i sure hope so.
-
but you see, it would apply to merc suits too. that way, mercs will actually have a use for the armored vests and the tactic of venting everywhere you go will actually have a negative effect on them, which right now does not effect them at all, not to mention how bad venting would be with new map. combat in space should not be the same as one where you're not in a full body hard suit, i think space combat is due to a change.

yessss, no more do you need to be forced to amoke cigars to look fancy. while we're on the topic of smoking, add tobaccoo leaves to the garden
-
i like this suggestion, stops mercs from going plan b and threatening to nuke the station if something they don't like happens. the old bomb armory/ cargo kill sec stop ERT is getting old
-
i think you're all missing the point here. everytime i see anyome wearing a voidsuit indoors for prolonged times i ahelp. the issue is more about powergaming. I think a better solution would be giving voidsuits a long time to put on / off instantly, while blocking access to your webbing/pockets, and add a delay to grabbing things from bags and toolbelts

I never wanted them banned anyway, all i wanted was for CUBIE to be fixed as a character, as long they follow that I'm happy with the resolution of this complaint.

Reporting Personnel: Bones Rank of Reporting Personnel: Medical Doctor Game ID: bOO-dgQg Personnel Involved: - Manfred Hayden (Chief Engineer) (Offender) - Monique Byrd (Engineer) (Offender) - Woodrow Mitchell (Engineer) (Offender) - Paul Jonson (Captain) (Witness) - Time of Incident: 12:30-12:50 Real time: Location of Incident: Medical Bay, OR 1, OR 2 Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [X]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault []Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: At around 12:30 Medical was prepping to repair the second OR, we had already ordered a surgery crate and the captain arrived, where he had told us that engineering will be shortly arriving to refurbish the second OR and that their deadline was by 12:50. Engineering arrived by 12:40, Engineers Monique and Woodrow arrived without the needed equipment, and they had only started working after 12:45. The Chief Engineer arrived by 12:55, moved into the first OR, relabeling it OR 2 via his blueprints and then vice versa with the second OR to bypass the deadline. After the great feat of incompetence and neglect of duty, the chief engineer proceeded to pretend the second OR was repaired and that now the first one needed to be repaired by around 1:10 the captain came to inspect the second OR, which I had demonstrated to be in nonoperational condition with missing floor tiles, missing old machinery and biological remains in the area. 1:25 Medical was damaged in a security incident, and required repairs, with the damage ranging between wall plating to cryogenic atmospheric pipes. only half the damage was properly fixed, leaving a broken disposal pipe throwing bio hazardous leftovers on the medical floor, contaminating it's sanitation. Engineering was very ineffective for most of the shift and most likely due to lack of coordination. with engineers coming for repairs and leaving due to lack of cooperation from their peers. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: The captain, Paul Jonson, but they were too busy with other incidents at the time. Actions taken: Additional notes:

if you want an IC explaination to this that makes sense, i can deliver. in the year 2456 Space Cola's RnD division invented a new advertisment system, a more pushy approach. simply put, the vendors would scan for dehydrated possible customers, and using powered wheels, they would drive to said customer to offer a drink at a discount. the idea went into full assembly line production, but Space Cola was soon hit by a lawcase, forcing them to disable the new feature due to consumer privacy issues. the system is still in place, and having had a short term in production and development, the machines are prone to malfunctioning, which would lead them to aggresively ram into dehydrated consumers and throw products at them.

[Accepted] Server Moderator Application - DatBerry
DatBerry replied to DatBerry's topic in Moderator Applications Archives
i retired after getting busy irl, when I was free again the staff team was full. though lately there has been stretches of time that would only have 2 or so mods, my ahelps were also mostly answered by admins last night or the one before it had me ahelping 4-5 times in one round while observing, so i thought instead of adding to the workload i could help with it. -

i am pretty sure having to swipe the ID to allow drones door access was the intended purpose, and not all access

another incident just happened last round, ID: bOL-ajJC It was malf but nearing the end of the round, CUBIE was unsubverted somehow and thus should've been acting nominally. we were all waiting in departures for a transfer, the QM* was riding on his tug, with the trolleys disconnected, thus only taking the space of the tile he would be on, and he was 2 tiles away from the shuttle airlock to be blocking it, CUBIE had no one (as far as i know or them having stated it) order him to get the QM off the tug, I as an assistant order them to leave the QM alone, since he did nothing, they reply with ????????? what does this mean if no other crewmember has given an order? is my rank too low to order you at all? they then proceeded to baton the QM off the tug forcefully. honestly this is exceeding shitborg tiers of play and is entering new levels that shouldn't even be possible. *EDIT: fixed the cargo tug riding on their own back
