  1. Feature implemented. Stick any feedback here. Night hours are currently 6pm to 7am.
  2. Controlling the night lighting setting can be done from a locked or unlocked APC (eventually it might be a "lighting level" dimmer you can set): And here's the list of areas that are automatically set: The automated feature is config based and easy to switch on/off.
  3. remove mice
  4. delta did nothing wrong
  5. I put so much effort into the sprite.... all wasted.
  6. This is what a hallway would look like with the night-lighting/power-saver setting on.
  7. I would suggest the following mechanical changes instead of removing them: Remove a mouse's ability to point Remove a mouse's ability to use custom emotes Remove a mouse's ability to come within 1 tile of a human mob Remove the mouse's ability to squeal or loudly squeek
  8. I think the procedures need to be re-reviewed then. If you're the one posting an appeal, you're essentially saying that either a mistake was made in interpreting the rules, or some information wasn't given that might change the nature of the punishment dealt out. I don't see how the banning party can effectively review their own judgement. Also, Was a higher ranking staffmember given a change to have their say in that thread? I felt as though it was being shoved away quite quickly. Some clarification is very important in my opinion on who can handle an appeal, whether or not a second opinion is available, the procedure in which an admin can sign off or comment on an appeal; publically on the forum, or behind closed doors in the discord.
  9. I think we should focus on the original appeal, and the conduct by DatBerry. Garn and DatBerry have both admitted (DB in the thread) that the week ban was excessive, so disputing the exact happenings of the thread is superfluous. The week ban shows DB went nuclear without any fair consideration of his relevant notes being a year old. The real issue is why was the person who handed out the ban the sole person reviewing the appeal and quietly shuffling it into archives without a higher admin commenting? I am wondering if this is SOP, because it shouldn't be. This is two counts of unprofessional behaviour in two separate modes of communication for the same issue, very shady behaviour which should be taken seriously.
  10. You went full time compression, never go full time compression. Seriously if you had sold this as a minor 1:3 or 1:2 change this would have been taken much better. 1:12 is fairly silly imo. When we start having features adding more persistence to the world and characters, these features will be much more attractive for balance and to push things the heck along.
  11. There's already a big empty space (genetics) which can be used for Department Security. Mapping it wouldn't require a big effort.
  12. I trust the admin team to manage donations if everything is transparent and above board. I think the admin team should divulge their real life information to the rest of the staff heads maybe, so incase of embezzlement of funds, their information can be passed on to the authorities. (maybe this is already the case) An icon next to your name in OOC and the "who" list would be a nice addition for donating. I'm 100% against mechanical perks for donating.
  13. I wouldn't kill a mice, but I also wouldn't expect a mouse to walk up to me and nuzzle me, or point at me, use emotes, squeek in a way that's audiable or do any of the things hug-box mice like to do. If I was a mouse, I'd be staying as far away from anything that isn't a mouse, trying to have sex with other mice and trying to generally find food and stay alive.
  14. Sounds good. The light could also be the colour of their screen.
  15. Right now the station time is just a number which has little bearing on anything other than timestamps on certain documents. One thing I'd like to see done is the differences in station time to actually have some effect on either gameplay or the general ambience of the station. Gameplay would be difficult to think of, I don't really have any ideas but as far as ambience goes, should the light level of the hallways be dimmed during night-time hours? Perhaps between 8pm and 6am, the corridors will be made darker so that crew members can physically/psychologically adapt to being on a station at night. Ideas or thoughts? Does anyone have a better idea how the station could change depending on the time of day?
  16. A simple 5 minute timer will suffice in my opinion. Urist McMob's equine features melt away...
  17. Here's the sprite https://www.dropbox.com/s/n17jbggp19a1oi2/laylasandwich.dmi?dl=0
  18. Scientists building weapons and going rambo probably is an OOC issue. I can't imagine a person who has devoted up to a decade studying a field of science following highschool has the ability to handle weapons like people who are highly trained. I'm against this idea but would instead support a system that makes RnD more complex and actually feel like you're doing science. A new RnD shouldn't be able to have guides that say "Do X, Y and Z and you'll have max levels" but rather "RnD works by doing X, Y or Z" with complex features that are slightly randomized and require actual thought put into them.
  19. There are some good reasons to remove cloning, but you'd have to nerf bombs first or makes breaches harder to do; I think they're what kill people en masse the most. Probably phoron fires too. Removing cloning from the lore would lead to continuity problems. I don't think the good reasons to remove cloning outweigh the good reasons to keep it though.
  20. Voting for extended should mean no antags, ipso facto!

Examples of Past Work: Aurora: Open pull requests | Closed pull requests Various bits of university work that aren't worth sharing. Preferred Mode of Communication Discord Additional Comments: I already feel like I have a good working relationship with many of the dev team and have no problem asking someone for help or advise on a piece of work. I'm still learning byond all the time and even though I have big aspirations, I have no problem fixing bugs or implementing suggestions while I get more familiar with the codebase.
  22. I love playing as open "recruit people willingly" for cult. Because it exposes what valid hunting shits 90% of sec is. Everyone knows the round is cult/merc/heist, a mechanic like hacking into telecoms would be cool but I still think it's meaningless as long as you have players going "hurr don't believe announcement me will arrest". It would be nice to get statistics on how many players are trying to be antags too. I think there's a problem of quantity, not quality. Maybe a general rule that antags overall goal is to generate RP or something like Apollo where antags get rated at the end of the round.
