Security serves as a counterbalance to antagonists (And antagonistic behaviour). It is pretty much their only function. It is their purpose to shut down antags and restore round conditions to extended. The exceptions being peace gimmicks, non-violent confrontations and what have you. If we were to remove security outright, the balance of power would be skewed so hard that every antag round would probably spiral into a shitfest relatively quickly. How many times have people bitched and moaned in deadchat over antags getting absolute control for reason such as "lmao sec only had like 1 guy, fucking shit antags amirite??" And it would turn into that every round. The powerhungry players would just roll antags instead and roam literally unopposed. Im not saying there arent issues with security at times, but removing the entire department is just bad juju.

This would frankly be hard to police. Sometimes a looc funny happens, and some comments are made and thats the end of it. Other times people tend to get into lengthy looc back and fourths. A simple remark for them to just not would be the best thing to do here, as suggested above, or ahelp if the conversation gets out of hand. We already pinch people for being a shit in ooc mediums, no need to put in more restrictions and take away something that is usually a good thing. In any case, not a fan of this at all, so Imma drop my vote of dismissal on this.

Theeeeeeeeen.. If ghosts do this, why enable antaghud? Why dont you just.. Not. Besides, why would you insta-ghost at roundstart, antaghud to spot whoever and then want to respawn immediately? Sounds pretty meta to me. If someone wants to take the hit for this, thats the price they pay.

Just a few questions. Where is the pink? Theres nothing pink anywhere to be found. Was the wrong DMI uploaded, or whats goin oooon. Is this some kind of combo-wombo dealio, if this gets accepted, they apply for theirs, or? And if your application goes through and their doesnt, would that be an issue? If you could clear up these two things, that'd be great.

It wont really be a problem. The AI/borgs arent meant to kill people, thats the crew's job :^) The AI/borg wouldnt go out of its way to ensure the target is taken alive, because law 2 and 3 would just cancel eachother out, making the synth take no action.

This seems sensible, and would cut down pmuch all of the de-antagging we have to do. I like it.

An example would be as loadout rules stand, you cannot have your name affixed to its name, but you can put an embroidered name in on the coat lining, or the inside of someones shoes to show that it belongs to X. As I understand it, the description text is meant to hold more personalized, detailed text thats only meant to be seen on close inspection? Although it does seem like a problematic thing tooo.. Fix? Tweak? Like a jacket that looks like shit, or a book thats all fucked up would be sticking out like a sore thumb as opposed to a tiny picture that says "ily<3" in tiny text on the back.

I dont think item descriptions are meant to be seen/inspected unless you're holding the item yourself.

After some brief talks, we're gonna go ahead and accept this application of updoots.

So I had an idea for a lil something. A nifty, pocket-sized item called a Remote System Controller or something along those lines. The idea of the item is to be able to remotely access an APC, fire alarm or air alarm within 10 tiles or so, regardless of visual. You'd use the item in hand to first select one of the types of machinery, then a desired transmitter range to narrow down your options and finally the machinery you want to hack/access. The length of time required to access something would be decided by your proximity to it. I was thinking being 1-2 tiles away from an item had a ~2 second access timer, whilst anything past 7 or so tiles had an access timer of 15-20 seconds. After you gain access to the device of your choosing, you can control it as if you're standing infront of it, much like the AI can., but you can only control one at a time. A possible addition to accessing APCs would be to infect them like the malf(And... emag?) can to hijack IPCs, but the virus is only active as long as you have an open connection with the APC. The item would coooost.. 4-8 tc or so, depending on how powerful it might end up being. I think this would provide a lot of versatility for tc-based antags, to have more area control for both defensive and offensive purposes.
