  1. I think its high time to get some proper strong and fancy windows that isnt an eyesore. Ive always wanted whole, fullframe windows because they're rad af. And on the topic of grilles. I feel they're a lrp deterrent from the olden days to prevent shitters from busting into places without consequences. Today as they stand, the electrified ones that is, they're just accident magnets where people accidentally bump into them when they're exposed and they lose a limb or die in the process. As an actual deterrent, they're useless, because people will just throw things at them, or pick up a glass shard with their BARE HANDS and hack away at it until it breaks. Anywho, rant aside, I would absolutely love a window(s) update :^)
  2. IPCs are specialized and usually custom built, unlike borgs which tends to be mass produced. Borgs are lawed, and as they're so aptly named, stationbounds. They are bound to the station to the point where they explode if you try to take them away from it. They are also lawed to protect its assigned station and to assist its crew, and they cant really fulfill this if their access is gimped. If you've seen the manifest when a borg is present, they're listed as equipment, which is what they are. As for their vast knowledge of everything, its usually explained that they're linked with the station and its database or something of the sort. They're pmuch a mouthy wikipedia with legs and grippers. However, I am 100% onboard that there are expectations to borgs when going into a department, and I have them aswell. If you do not know a department, pick an apprentice role, not borg. They're a utility role meant to fill out where a department is lacking, not to overstep and do the job of station crew. You can ahelp if a borg is stepping on toes and doing their job for them. Personally, I play borg to dick around with my job, and there is less roleplay expectation when playing the role as you're treated as useful equipment instead of a person. Im very much against gimping them in this manner. It seems like a very unnecessary change.

  4. Helo, Ill be taking this as witchbells retired. Looking over your history since your last appeal, I cant say Im filled with confidence about lifting this ban any time soon. You can try and appeal again in 3 months. Appeal denied.
  5. I feel that the whole warning your target subconsciously is gonna be meta'd the fuck out of, and I dont care for it at all. I'd rather it be a preparational ability with a longer cooldown or something of the sort. Like the parapen for example. Its a quick jab to stun the target for a moment, but instead of using drugs, you use whatever you have on hand (Even your hand). Alternately, this could be incorporated into a martial arts book, either new or old, to act as a single strike stun aimed at the mouth or something.

  7. This is indeed the reform I am referring to. As for this, a problem isnt a problem until someone notices it, really. Personally I dont mind your character at all, even if I have stupid amounts of problems understanding him sometimes, but again, thats just me. Someone took issue, I asked for an opinion on the matter and made the call accordingly. If it was the wrong call, that remains to be seen.
  8. I dont really have too much to add, really. I dealt with a concerned ahelp and looked into it, and from the looks of it with the new disability rework and the fact that me myself needed to put in all my brainpower to understand the character's speech most of the time, that pretty much ticked the "Too fucked speech to work in engineering" box. Im sure it'd be more comprehensible in actual voice than exaggerated text, as are all things, or maybe its just me that cant piece together your accent for shit because Im a smoothbrain, but all in all, I'd hate to see you nuke a character you enjoy playing, so I hope there is some form of compromise to be made here.
  9. Oh yeah, something I forgot to ask. With this move, where will the SAT be situated now, and what will the former bridge be looking like? Are you planning to move the AI core closer to under the former bridge, or whats the plan with that if any. Oh! Also, command bunker, what will become of it ?

  13. As its been over two months since the whitelist was implemented, we're confident that this has been a step in the right direction. So with that, Im making this thread in an attempt to better the AI further. We're looking for suggestions and ideas about how to improve things in regards to the AI. So far there has been ideas thrown around about giving the AI a type of mobile shell for a more physical presence. To remove/rebalance cameras and how the AI is integrated into the station. And lastly to move the AI core somewhere else. Perhaps more centralized and/or less fortified. So with that, we'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions. No idea is too big or small!
  14. Hai. Im gonna lift this as its your first perma. That being said, I would highly encourage you not to play security for atleast a few weeks until you can settle in properly. Aside from that, refamiliarize yourself with the rules and any changes that might have happened in your absence. Appeal accepted.
  15. I want to know what happened that was so awful that it warranted a removal suggestion instead of bringing an issue up with the AI whitelist team. Which AI performed so atrociously that the round was absolutely ruined beyond any recovery. Please come to my DMs and share this horror story so that the AI in question can be evaluated. If the argument is that they steal the spotlight, I will be greatly annoyed as any Traitor McJoe can steal the spotlight with a radio announcement and a couple of welderbombs, doing more damage than any traitor AI could ever hope for without cyborg assisted help.

You're encouraged to play more borg and get some community feedback if possible.
