BYOND Key: DeadLantern Game ID: caG-aqGy Staff Byond Key: Alberyk Reason for complaint: Poor antag play after a history of poor antag play. DasFox was recently unbanned in January of this year from a permaban--they were permabanned because of metagaming an antag, but I believe their history goes farther than that. In short, this complaint is being levied against DasFox because they've exhibited signs of poor antag play across rounds, but this complaint will specifically focus on the play during the round of caG-agGy. During this round, DasFox and Jonky23 boarded the Aurora as Ninjas. Like most antags, they had a gimmick: their gimmick was to cause minor issues throughout the station. From flickering lights to throwing bottles, this was the essence of their gimmick. Mostly trivial stuff. From the standpoint of security, this gimmick was incredibly unfun to play with--We, as security, were forced to investigate this matter and treat it as a threat. At first, we were running to and fro at every report of a ghost, trying to find signs of a physical being causing these errors. This was not that fun. We could not roleplay with the antags nor with ourselves--we were essentially forced to be on medium alert running all around the station because the antags are doing minor things to the station. I get the sense that this was boring to the crew, as well. The antags were messing with very minor stuff, and so the crew did not respond greatly. The crew had 0 initiative to RP with the antags and the actions the Antags took provided no story for the crew to latch onto. The second phase of the round began when we finally spotted the ninja out of their cloak. This was after we ahelped--presumably, the antags were warned and told to step it up in terms of game interaction. I'd also like to mention that I was shocked by a random door, but this might've been the AI's doing, I really don't know. Anyways, it was like the previous situation, but worse--security had even more of an incentive to run around the station chasing around these invisible guys, even though it's practically impossible to engage with them. Eventually, we stopped running. Again, the crew received very little attention, and security's gameplay was reflective of that. We were fighting against phantoms that did nothing but essentially forced us to be on guard. Afterwards, we get a bomb threat--at this point, we ignore it, because there is very little we can actually do. It's simply not fun to fight against two impossible-to-chase Ninjas doing covert things in an attempt to get the attention of the crew. It did not involve the crew, and security was forced to respond, so we basically stopped responding. After that, the round ended. This round was 2 hours of misery for security. We could not roleplay with the antags. We could not roleplay with each other. We could not roleplay with anybody. We were forced to be on guard, but could do absolutely nothing. The normal crew, while being able to roleplay with their respective departments, got no action from the antag besides the occasional ghost spook. It was essentially an extended round for them. I hope you can see how this type of antag play is unacceptable and unengaging to literally everybody that isn't an antag. At first, I was under the impression that these were the actions of new players, so I was a bit more lenient. Jonky23 was new, that's true, but DasFox is an old player--and a player that has quite the history, leading to a permaban. A player like this should no better. Perhaps if this was their first offense, I'd accept a warning, but I would like the administrative team to go further with this. This kind of antag behavior should be unacceptable to older players who know how the game flow works and what engages crew and what doesn't engage crew. It's fine if they come up with a gimmick that doesn't quite stick the landing--it's another to obsessively do the same thing over and over again, only to continue to fight this secret unfightable and un-roleplayable war even after they've been warned not to. That is also why this complaint is more focused on DasFox, and not Jonky23. I don't know who came up with this gimmick, but they should have tried something else or escalated once they realized no story was being generated. Also, I have heard stories of DasFox behaving the same for other antag rounds. I have logs provided here of one such occurrence a couple of days ago: Evidence/logs/etc: [F] DEAD DasFox (Geist) laments, "I could've sedate-killed all of security very easily." [10:19 PM] [F] DEAD DasFox (Geist) blubbers, "If I were alive they might because I would've gone on a sprree after my friend died and I had the ability to inject people with fucking cyanide" Here we see DasFox bragging about how they could've killed security easily and would've gone a killing spree because they had the mechanical ability to do so. I do not know the exact context of this quote--if this play is actually acceptable, forgive me, but shown here, it doesn't look so good. It looks like they only care about mechanically dominating the crew and messing with us. I was the HoS of the Ninja round, if that matters. Numerous other players complained about the gimmick, not limited to security. Additional Remarks: This staff complaint is transplant from the player complaint I originally issued. I only disagree with Alberyk for the actual punishment. I believe a ban or something is much more fitting than a warning when considering DasFox's time on the server and their prior history with staff.

Modify the Uniform Regulations for the Head of Security
DeadLantern replied to DeadLantern's topic in Rejected Policy
The detective also has powers to arrest individuals (if they do not, I see them do it commonly). However, as I've stated in my post, the HoS's main duty is not to be arresting people, and will mostly regulated to barking orders. While I agree, they should be easily recognizable as a figure of security, this does not necessarily mean they must wear the corporate-mandated suits. Like the Detective, once can easily recognize the detective by their badge, ID, and the restrictions of "business casual". This suggestion would do the same for the HoS, which would still allow the HoS to be easily recognized by the general crew, because they'd have the HoS badge, their ID, and a suit/other business casual wear. As for setting an example for officers, that's a bit more nebulous. I suppose the HoS should set a good example for their officers, but again, they can be a good example and also wear a suit at the same time. If whatever the HoS is wearing is not a good example for the Officers, then it would not be considered business casual. -

I'm bumping this. Could we get a word on this matter? Is CCIAA fine with this change? -

Player Complaint - ReadThisNamePlz
DeadLantern replied to WickedCybs's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Yes, sorry, steel sheets. The first time I was hit, I don't know if it were steel sheets that hit me or floor tiles. -
After Kyres's several modifications, it's clear that the quality of these sprites far surpasses the sprites we have in game, despite any minor quibbles anyone has over the new sprites. I see no reason as to why we should not add these in the game. The blasters and shotgun look especially nice, in my opinion.

Player Complaint - ReadThisNamePlz
DeadLantern replied to WickedCybs's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Readmynameplz also used the tiles against my HoS, twice if my memory is correct. You can see one of the attacks in the one of the logs that Cybs posted. Both times I required surgery and was taken out of the round. -
The current uniform policy on HoS is stated here: "Uniformed security employees are to wear only standard equipment provided by NanoTrasen. Security uniforms do not include personal clothing, or items that would significantly impact the crew's ability to immediately identify security personnel. Minor alterations to uniform equipment are permitted in order to accommodate non-human species... Personnel failing to meet these requirements are in violation of failing to execute an order, and are to be processed for such." For Security Officers and Wardens, I understand this protocol, both on an IC and OOC level. ICly, an officer would have to be quickly recognizable in an emergency situation, and personal outfits get in the way of such. As well as this, officers and wardens running around in skirts or shorts would make very little sense and would break immersion. However, this regulation also states that "Investigative personnel are permitted to sport business wear of their choice." I recommend that we extend this specific rule towards investigative personnel to the Head of Security. Firstly, the reason why Investigative personnel are permitted to sport business wear is because they are not actively involved in firefights or otherwise strenuous situations. They are mostly regulated to surveying crime scenes and interrogating criminals, which is not work that necessitates a uniform. And, if bad times do come, and a Detective is forced to broker a hostage deal or use his pistol, business wear (a suit, trenchcoat, etc) is perfectly suitable for those types of situations. Seeing as this is the case, I see little reason why this rule should not also apply to Heads of Security. Heads of Security, similar to investigative personnel, are not actively involved in hostile situations. The role of Head of Security actually has a lot in common with a Detective/FT in game flow--most of the time, they are sitting around and doing not-in-a-hostile-firefight stuff. But, occasionally, a Detective or a Head of Security is thrust into such a situation--and, in those emergency situations, business casual works fine. Looking at the points above, I don't think there's a real reason why HoS's should not have more lax uniform restrictions. HoS's are not going to show up wearing skirts and corsets, as they'll still be confined to the "business wear" that the investigations division is subject to. While the HoS may find themselves on the frontline more often than the detective, it is certainly not going to be a normal situation, as Heads of Security should avoid direct fire at all costs unless there is a shortage of officers. The decreased restrictions on the HoS's wear will allow characters to find unique aesthetics and generally improve the player experience in what is often such a confining role. If you do have a concern with this suggestion, please leave a comment below or DM me about it. Otherwise, I think this suggestion is reasonable enough.

As for this specific suggestion, there is very little reason for the First Responder not to have increased access. I then recommend that Lanze/Ping make a separate suggestion post for the unique idea that he presented in his thread, as that idea also seems pretty neat (but warrants its own discussion).

I mostly agree with Danse here, but I agree that it's nigh impossible to police. Ghosts really have no reason to use LOOC besides shenanigans. Therefore, I support removing LOOC from the ghost role. Additionally, I push forth the idea of blocking/limiting LOOC during canon rounds. I can't count how many times a funny man made a funny comment during a canon event--canon events are typically more serious and demand a bit more respect to the serious situations that occur. I get that it is hard to police during a normal round, but I really see no reason for LOOC to occur during a canon round besides teaching a new player, and even then, you can just do it in IC or, if you have to, use parentheses.

1. I am used to researching and I'm fine with it. It doesn't really matter if I'm interested in the subject or not. It is not difficult to read a wikipedia page and some articles--I just need enough understanding to be able to creatively elaborate off of it. 2. There are not many topics that actually bore me when it comes to creating a lore about an alien species. There are some things that tend to become boring (linguistics and languages quickly become esoteric or inexplicable), but that does not mean actually writing about that is boring. However, I am human, and some things naturally bore me to sleep. When it comes to writing, though, I usually can get through it because writing itself is a creative endeavor. Sure, I'm writing about the rock cycle on Moghes or something, but because I'm actually writing it, and I'm using my own voice--it becomes stimulating. Once, Coalf asked me to write a short story about a Skrell visiting Moghes who gets pranked. That topic itself doesn't interest me, but I was able to get it done quickly because I could still write about it--whether it's about nuclear war or clan marriage, writing is writing. So, in short, I'm comfortable with writing about anything because I typically enjoy the act of writing, irrespective of the actual thing I'm writing about. 3. Yes. 4. I am unused to writing lore with multiple people, or writing lore for a community. Typically, all of my stuff is worked on by me and me alone, barring some criticism I may receive from others. Even if I was submitting my work to a large community, it was always me working on it--here, it'll obviously be different. I'll have to learn to write with multiple people, and I have no clue if I'm good with that or not. I am sure I can adapt, though. And, despite me being here for three years or something (on-and-off), I've contributed little to the lore, which is partly why I want to get involved starting now. So, I think the hardest thing to overcome will be actually writing with the team and writing for Aurora. 5. There's a lot of stuff I would love to write about. I would love to write about the Traditionalist kingdoms that have survived in the Wasteland (or perhaps some that have been vassalized by the Hegemony). I would love to restructure religious lore. As I've written about in my application, I think Hegemony lore has to be centralized and defined--I also have a lot of ideas about a Grim Compact rewrite. Regions on Moghes, especially in the Wasteland--that would be super cool! The list goes on... The point is, I would be ready to write about nearly anything; the only matter is picking what to write about. I would love to work on anything. 6. I like rejection. I also like acceptance. When they're both done correctly, they're equally as useful. If I simply shoot some ideas and they get rejected, I won't really get affected. If I write a huge thing and the entire thing has to be torn down, as long as it's thoroughly criticized and picked apart, it's good. What I have a hard time dealing with is my work to be unacknowledged or disregarded. Like I said before, ideas are ideas, and they can be shot down without tears, but if I take the time to put my heart into something, and it just gets ignored--I really wouldn't know what to do. Do I try again? Do I write more? Where do I go from here? A fair and honest rejection is excellent, but a universal "shrug and forget" is significantly worse for me. That's just who I am, and I doubt that is ever going to change. I don't think it'll ever come to that, though--ideas are usually processed and accepted before you start to write about them, so a good response (rejection or otherwise) is practically guaranteed. 7. I do think I'm capable with writing stuff that affects things beyond Unathi. I think my strengths lie in recognizing what works thematically for the lore and expanding it for maximum roleplay potential. Working with things that are thematically cohesive jive well with me--I think the K'laxan and Dionae are well-suited in that regard. When it comes to radically different cultures and species interacting, it's very important to have the lore act as one unit, and not have one side be totally like this and the other side be totally like that. You can't just have Unathi being Unathi and humans being humans on the same planet (like on Ouerea or Dominia)--you have to have them clash and mix and reject and accept and live. The same goes for warfare, trade, deals, alliances, etc. Ideally, the lore that comes forth should be unique because of the base materials, the lore that you have to work with. I think when you're writing lore that encompasses multiple cultures and races, it is a necessity that you have all sides of the lore affected, else it's not doing its job. So, yes, I think I'm capable, and I'm also willing.

Thanks for the feedback! When it comes to forum posting, it's done in a correspondence sort of way. It's not real time, like in discord. I can't bounce off my ideas on you or show my process which humanizes the criticism. For whitelist apps especially, all you can do is state your case and identify the problems. You can't really help out the person when it comes to developing new ideas or restructuring the application. You can identify through the form, but you can't work with the user. That is probably why I appeared, or was standoffish--I don't want to be like that towards people, but there is not much I can do. It is certainly true that it feels a lot more personal in DMs due to the reasons I listed before. I can't do anything on the forum but list the facts and maybe suggest some things. That's why my DMs are always open. Since most communication happens over discord, I don't think that will be a huge problem. It is good that you brought it up, though--I'l try to be better when criticizing on the forums. Once again, thanks for commenting.

Thanks for the feedback! You're completely right, I forgot about religion. That's pretty major, so thanks for reminding me. I would probably put this paragraph in the "Life in the Hegemony" part: "Even since the First Hegemony, the Hegemony has always had Th'akh and Sk'akh, the two religious pillars of their dear country (even if Sk'akh is outnumbered). The Hegemony has always been seen as the temporal lord of all of Th'akhdom and Sk'akhdom--not as a pontiff, but as a representation of the spiritual populace. Interreligious marriage has always been common, so there exists little animosity between the two religions; this collapsed after the Contact War and the establishment of the Sk'akh Church. Though the Iron Masks and Unzi's powers are faded, religious tensions are quite high. Most noble families converted to Sk'akh to curry favor with the church, but the converts have reconverted back to their Th'akh ancestral roots. While Th'akh lords may be lying in wait, the destruction of the Akhanzi Order has not been lost on them; many are prepared if Sk'akh lords eat up their lands under the guise of a religious crusade. Similarly, Sk'akh lords are fearful of Th'akh retribution for the sins of the Church. Additionally, while the dissenting Aut'akh find their stock in the Wasteland or with the criminals of the Hegemony, making for easy policing, the Si'akh heathens are a much harder foe to grapple with. Some Lords did convert to Juzida's religion to mirror S'kresti's affinity for the faith, all have quietly converted back--the same can not be said for the small selection of urban and rural peasants who have sworn themselves to Si'akh. The current Hegemonic stance on the Si'akh faithful is one of mistrust, as compared to outright hostility when the Church was around. It is unclear how the Hegemony plans to deal with the overconfident Si'akh, but most lords are content to let them be in their current benign form."

[ACCEPTED] Faye's Command (but really just CMO) App
DeadLantern replied to Faye <3's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Faye's character Sanaa was more than willing to help me (re)learn medbay and they're an excellent teacher. They can roleplay competently, too. While but I am one of the masees, I do think Faye deserves this head whitelist. -
Ckey/BYOND Username: DeadLantern Position Being Applied For: (Wiki Maintainer, Lore Developer, Deputy Lore developer): Unathi Lore Deputy Have you read the Lore Team Rules and Regulations wiki page? Yes. Past Experiences/Knowledge: I have DM’d for a modified Mines of Phandelver campaign with my friends before, though nowadays I prefer playing rather than being a DM. I may start up a new campaign with Edge of the Empire, though! Examples of Past Work: Wrote Tajara Music Lore (https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Tajara#Music) Wrote Tajara Sports and Games Lore (https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Tajara#Sports_and_Games) Wrote Unathi Martial Arts Lore, though it is not canonized. From what has been told to me, it will be canonized, but I do not know what will actually be added or what will be removed. (https://forums.aurorastation.org/topic/14907-unathi-traditional-combat-application/?tab=comments#comment-140871) Additional Comments: Here is my new-fangled Wiki addition to Unathi, which is about Hegemony Politics and Society/Life (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1AJa0elzXeiDCAjeyRdLKx_ZdV8PGpeRHjUYA_sWCm4M/edit?usp=sharing). I hope you enjoy it! I chose to write about this because Hegemony lore lacks any sort of nuance or further detail; there's almost nothing on how Hegemony politics are or how the average life is. It's all very barebones, an undeserving fate for such an important part of Unathi lore. Ideally, every player should understand how Hegemony society is and how that plays with the other powers in the universe. Without that shared understanding, the lore is splintered, and you can't really expand on anything before you get a foundation. Anyway, some further stuff: I think Unathi lore is in a disheveled place. I'm not going to waste your time and say my opinion on the subject, because Haydizzle said that he's going to do all the things that I want to do. A massive clean-up of the wiki pages, a reformat/rewrite of the Unathi Religion page, consolidating all the useful information, etc. Additionally, all the good stuff like Grim Compact reworks and whatnot are already in the works. All of this I agree with, so I'm not going to talk about them much. I think Unathi lore is split up into several different islands--Grim Compact, Honor, Wastelanders, Religion, Ouerea, Dominia, etc--they're not really cohesive. They're the products of making something cool without connecting it to the greater story. I think creating this cohesiveness will make for a better race and get better roleplay overall on station. I'm also interested in adding things that adequately represent Sinta culture--stuff like music, art, etc. While this may be seen as fluff to some people, I think it is necessary for making an interesting and different culture. Everything I do should further RP on station, and that would be my main goal at all times when writing for Unathi. Edit: Additionally, I think Unathi castes/roles should be well-defined. As of right now, males and females exist in this sort of limbo land, where nothing has changed, but they're still unoppressed? I subscribe to the belief of "separate but equal", but I think that we should identify what things a woman should/could be and what things a man should/could be. An entire page dedicated to the castes and the social norms of Unathi society would benefit this community, as the topic of Unathi sexism is controversial. As to why I want to write for Unathi... Well, I enjoy writing. I also enjoy Unathi. Considering these two facts, I think I would have to be a fool to not apply. I've tried my hardest, and I've thrown out my chance, so judge it fiercely. Regardless of the outcome, I won't stop writing or playing. As always, I'm open to DMs at DeadLantern#5679 if you have any questions or want to talk. I'm a bit late, but happy holidays! Thanks for reading.

[ACCEPTED] Hepatica's Unathi whitelist app
DeadLantern replied to Hepatica's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
"At the time they had no interest in if it was honorable, who was in the wrong or who was in the right, they were interested primarily in the glory of it." Now that is quite interesting--also pretty realistic, factoring in a child's eagerness for war and the propaganda that the Hegemony provided. I like that you have added this detail, it's sure to cause clash on station in the future. It might also go against Linha's core ethics, which is also pretty cool. The second answer is fine, but the third is a little strange. Religious conflict is the heart of Unathi lore--but it's fine if this character doesn't focus on it. The answers are fine, and the response you gave was also good. I understand the need to cut down the text of certain things in the interest of length. Once again, I support this application! -
[ACCEPTED] Hepatica's Unathi whitelist app
DeadLantern replied to Hepatica's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
You nail the tonal atmosphere of the Unathi. This is exactly what Unathi are about, in my opinion. Your descriptions of Skalamar and how an average clan looks like line up closely with my view. Such aspects of the lore are not expaned upon; I often think about them when creating a character, and you obviously do as well. You run wild with the lore, and that is exactly what should be done when creating a character. I was at first, a little scared of the length. I was pleased to see that most of it was fluff--not that that is bad. This is the type of backstory I would expect to find for a full character sheet, not just a whitelist application, so it is perfectly fine. Instead of saying Linha had an encounter with hivebots and their master died, you go on and describe the whole encounter. Instead of saying Linha had an encounter with a shaman, you go ahead and describe the dialogue. It is abnormal for a whitelist application, but apt for a character. The backstory and lore knowledge is great, in my opinion. You know what it is when you are an Unathi. But, the character. Often times, in communities such as ours, there is a term thrown about. That term is Mary Sue or Gary Stu (in your case is it Terry Tue?). I'm not accusing Linha of being such a character, because they obviously have flaws. They are loyal to a fault, and incredibly, incredibly honorable to their self-contract. They are very dedicated to themselves and are very competitive, probably due to the nature of their upbringing. I do not take qualms with these faults, but here, they are presented at face value. Here is a living and thinking being that was raised to fill one purpose--what does Linha think of this? I feel the comparison to a genetically-created soldier is apt. This is a person with an incredibly constricted child-hood. Is he affected by this? To me, Linha is exactly what they were supposed to be. They are honorable, which is good in some cases and bad in others. They are competitive, which is good in some cases and bad in others. They are overly loyal and dedicated, which is good in some cases and bad in others. These flaws are here, but they lack the depth that we might see in another character. I know Linha is a good warrior, but what does that mean about their psyche? They were forced to be this way, so do they have any other longings? Have they ever wondered if their childhood was robbed from them? How does this affect their relationship with their father? You have presented the character and the faults, but it sounds like Linha has just taken them and ran with it. Surely, at some point in their life, they must have contemplated why exactly they are that way. A slew of character development can come from this line of thinking. As of right now, Linha is just a very good warrior, which is a trope we've seen before, and it lacks a certain depth you find in other characters. You may notice I am being overly critical about this application. Well, it is very rare that an application comes with this much character inside of it, so excuse me for that. And, please, please, do not think that this character is bad. This character is great, but I know there can be more. It is a slate, which can be expanded upon. I understand fully that you may be very well aware of what I just described, and plan to elaborate more on these points in game; in any case, that paragraph was mostly superfluous. I read what I read and that was my immediate reaction. I know that you are a competent roleplay and can take this character in a variety of excellent directions. I am usually not so critical with the characters that come with these applications, but I know you are a creative person, and I just sort of wrote. In any other application, I would support this without a problem. The amount of information you provide, however, compels me otherwise, because you clearly have put a lot of time in this character. Moving on, there is more you could describe when it comes to Linha's thoughts and opinions (which are usually saved for this part of the application process, so it's fine that you didn't describe them in your application). Such aspects that you could elaborate on are as follows: You say that Linha is very interested in the Contact War. Did they think it was honorable? Do they believe the Traditionalists were in the wrong? What do they think about the enormous cost of life reaped during the war, and the inflation of the Hegemony because of it? What does Linha think about the encroaching Wasteland and the Traditionalist remnants? Dishonorable curs? Misguided youth? And finally, you say that Linha is Th'akh, so what do they think of Sk'akh, the Hegemony's favorite religion? What do they think about the ruined Akhanzi order? And what about Si'akh or Aut'akh? That is all that I have to say. In this current state, I very happily support the approval of this whitelist. -

Why do people care so much about this? Why do we need so much code and time dedicated just to make rats better for roleplay? The roleplay we have on station is about characters. Rats do not add to this. Catering to our rat population to make them interesting to play as for everyone sounds like a massive waste of time. Consider: What do we gain if we make rats fun? A minor blip on the round? A short anecdote that might affect characters? No, it's not worth it. Rats are rats and people are people. This is a roleplay game about people. As far as I am concerned, rat roleplay does not add to people roleplay. It actually probably hinders it, because every bar/kitchen conversation is going to have to be interrupted so we can watch the chef fling knives at the rat. We should cater to observers. We should not cater to dead people. The game isn't about those people. As long as rats are limited or removed, I am fine. No other option would be good for the game.

Digging up the dregs of Unathi lore and whipping them into shape is a very good resolution. Making all the individual wheels of Unathi spin together is good, as well. Unathi lore has never been cohesive, and it has never reacted off of each other. Haydizzle wants to tie it all together, and that is something that I will always support. I have one questions, however, and it will not affect my unbridled support for Haydizzle as the lore maintainer for Unathi: Are you willing to add completely new things for Unathi? I am not talking about implied aspects of Unathi lore, like fallen kingdoms, spacecraft lore, art, and esports. Do you want to add things that are completely new? It is fine if you say no. For Unathi especially, it is important to maintain what we have, and not throw whatever we have at the wall, but I am still curious.

Byond key: DeadLantern Discord key: DeadLantern#5679 Character Name: Jorukramzoarkr Nhragzhanzrugh Item name: (if you are applying for multiple items, it should be made into a list with the description, name and appearance together): silver mata'ke dagger Item function(s): Looks like a dagger. Item description: This silver dagger is commonly seen with Mata'ke Priests. Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Part of the religion. How did your character obtain this item: Got it on Adhomai when he became a priest. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell?: It is a sacred thing to the priests. It expands on the roleplay and adds flavor to the religion. The character would treasure it and other characters could comment on it. Sprites: The sprites would be gotten from the normal dagger/knife sprite, if it suffices. If it doesn't, then the application can not go through, as I do not have original sprites. Additional Comments: Alb is alright with this application.

Pretty great application! Not really much to change about the application, for what you do say, it's all fine, if a bit short. There are some minor things that don't really need addressing but I'll talk about them anyway. You say that Skar's children were being raised as levies--I think you misunderstand what levies are. Levies are "civilians" drafted into a noble's army to be fodder, usually made up of whatever able men they could find around the realm. What I think you mean, is that they were being trained to be warriors, which is definitely true. This brings up the point of whether or not the Hegemon even uses levies (or had used levies during the Contact War), and that is a different question entirely. Anyway, that's the end of my contentions. There are even smaller things, but they are of no impact. Usually, here, I would ask you questions about the lore. Not to test your knowledge, but to see if you are aware and incorporating certain aspects of the lore with your character. You have a lack Skar's opinions on things--not anything is said about her opinions of the contact war, of first contact, of the current state of the Hegemony, etc. It is important for a character to know these things, but I am not sure if it is needed to actually ask questions. In any case, I advise you read up on these things and make sure your character has formulated opinions about the world around her, so she isn't acting as if she was divorced to the lore. As long as you keep the things I said in mind, there is no reason to deny this application. -
Type (e.g. Planet, Faction, System): A cultural thing. Describe this proposal in a single sentence (12 word maximum): An expansion to traditional forms of Unathi martial arts and how they work in society. How will this be reflected on-station? Unathi duels and combat would adhere to this proposal (as long as they are fighting traditionally). Does this faction/etc do anything not achieved by what already exists? Yes, it does things not achieved by what exists. Why should this be given to lore developers rather than remain player created lore? Unathi martial arts fit very nicely with the theme of the species, and it is tough to assume/create your own sort of traditional style, because you would expect all Unathi warriors to know and adhere to that style. And if you are attempting to duel another Unathi, it lacks standards on how you actually fight. Do you understand that if this is submitted, you are signing it away to the lore team, and that it's possible that it will change over time in ways that you may not forsee? Yes.
