    Game Mode: TrAI

There's a button in the admin secrets panel for triple AI, iirc. It's also notable that literally any crewmember with a PDA can notice three AIs in the messenger, so, anyone with a functioning brain will know if this is going on.
  2. As noted above, monitor heads are still available with this added. That will no longer be possible, for better or worse you cannot exactly mimic the appearance of any race with this change, although you can look somewhat similar to any of them assuming you have said species whitelisted to you. Cats with android bodies will retain cat ears and tails, and so on with lizards, humans can have faux hair and beards, etcetera.
  3. After further testing, they are immune to poisons, they do not get full from eating meaning they do not benefit from nutriment, and they still do not breathe. Their organs are as noted before. A microbattery, optical sensors, and the brain. They behave exactly as a full-bodied synthetic/android should.
  4. If you apply to be an IPC, then you're applying to be a Positronic. An MMI =/= a Positronic Brain. But as noted, if one can be restricted, then so can both. It would be Skull's decision, ultimately.
  5. IPC, is by definition, Integrated Positronic Chassis. So if Skull so allows, yes, unwhitelisted players can be Cybernetic Androids. But IPCs proper would still be restricted. Alternatively, both can be restricted.
  6. The skins available, in full. From left to right; Bishop Hephaestus (It's misspelled as Hesphiastos, for some unusual reason) Zeng-Hu Xion Morpheus (Traditional IPC, can be given CRT monitor via a custom loadout item, said monitor's screen can be changed at will, and cannot be taken off from the mask slot) Ward-Takahashi (The Polaris' exclusive prosthetic skin, can be ported easily) Unbranded w/ Bishop arm, Zeng-Hu head w/ brown cut hair, and Hephaestus leg to show that you can mix and match. (Full unbranded looks exactly like an unskinned Shell would on oldcode)
  7. Please hold, I'll check this in a minute and edit this post afterwards.
  8. Alright, I went ahead and did a little testing and fiddling to bring you this demonstration. It'll probably read like a shitty powerpoint presentation but w/e. This is an example of what the "Full Prosthetic/Android"s can look like. They work by giving you a new option in the 'limb' portion of setup, "Full Body", selecting such will allow you then to select from a variety of skins, and from there you have your character. You still have a wide variety of customization options, as per a normal human or whatever you happen to be. From hair, to eye colour, to undergarments. The character setup in Polaris' master code is far more robust than our current setup, but a suggestion can be made to port that as well if you wish. --- Below are both examples of Full Body Prosthetics, the eyesore on the left is an example of how much customization still remains. On the right, is a simple full body prosthetic with blue eyes, using a prosthetic skin unique to Polaris that can also be ported if people so desire. Both of these use the same 'skin'. The main difference between the one on the left and the right is not clearly visible, but, the one on the left has an 'assisted' brain, versus a 'mechanical' brain on the right. That is, MMI versus Positronic. --- This is not visible via examination (An oversight I'd imagine), but as you may notice, the flavour of these synthetics has been changed so as to fit them. --- Another example of flavour change. --- And should you gib, or remove the components of these synthetics, you won't find the usual mechanical organs. --- But, whilst not visible upon examination, should you gib one of these synthetics with an 'assisted' brain instead of a 'mechanical' brain, you'll happen to find an MMI in place of the Positronic. --- If you have any further questions or concerns, I can make a point to test the various aspects of this feature further, but for now I believe I've covered the core of the suggestion. Your customization will be different, you will no longer be able to entirely resemble your species of choice as a free synthetic. But that does not mean your customization is gone, as you can tell. There is still a variety to be had, even moreso should we port over the character setup and custom loadout options of Polaris' code.
  9. Might give inexperienced Xenobiologists a reason to make those frost oil producing blue slimes. Also I believe the reason the temp. gun doesn't work anymore might be a change in that slimes are meant to be weak to /water/, not cold. They have some little text mentioning how they sizzle when you spray them with water.
  10. As long as it does pain damage and not insta-stun so the belt full of stun batons isn't viable against Nukies like it used to be. Either way tho this isn't a feature I really mind being gone, the less RNG 'ggnore' nonsense the better. You have a taser and a gun, use one of those.
  11. I imagine if you're being pulled around, they have you by either the arm or cuffs. In which case this doesn't really work. As well as the fact this game really doesn't need any more annoying RNG mechanics.

    Mouse traps

Right Click > Hide If it doesn't work then a Bay coder fucked up somewhere.
  13. You're trying to make me go blind, aren't you?

    Mouse traps

They're meant to be hidden under tables and the like, not out in the open.
  15. A pretty solid RPer; Has a very relaxed, positive attitude as well as a fair bit of dedication to whatever role he's playing. Would certainly be neat to see what he can do with this one. He's also unrobust but that can be forgiven. +1
  16. Feel free to educate us on why ripped TES lore was introduced, then.
  17. This game's already pretty close to Star Trek, codewise and inspiration-wise, if you look at all the references. Blue CMO labcoat, holodeck, the old choice of red for security, counselor as an alt-title for chaplain, the old choice of yellow for engineering, a large number of the medical chemicals, positronic brains, and at one point in ye olde code there was even a proper Phaser, with the current retro laser using a rather phaser-inspired sprite.
  18. Even more reason to make it temporary or remove it.
  19. We already have the Vox sound files in the old code(Because Bay removed them for some unfun reason I'd imagine, wouldn't be a difficult port though). They've been there for years, and if an admin felt like it they could still declare "Johnson Inspection Day".
  20. [12:51:11 AM] Shadow: I don't even have fun facts about me. [12:51:21 AM] Realm Code: Here let me think of some. [12:51:42 AM] Shadow: I go to work. [12:51:43 AM] Realm Code: ... You're a dumb dumb and weird and incomprehensible I rest my case.
  21. Would you be terribly surprised if I told you the cats, in past Bay times which likely inspired/carried over somewhat into the current lore, were basically fetish inserts with lazily done writing that included arbitrarily tossed-in Elder Scrolls lore. I imagine it made a wonderful excuse for them to use Skyrim as a model to make their characters from.
  22. IPC = Integrated Positronic Chassis, if it is an IPC, then by definition, it cannot have anything other than a Positronic brain. The term Shell is there to solve this issue, as it by definition is not locked to either type of brain. In short; IPC = Positronic, and only Positronic Shell = MMI (Sapient, Xeno, or Uplift) /or/ Positronic
  23. I feel like this thread lacks enough douchiness so here's a personal fact: I haven't worked a day in my life and yet I can afford to live alone in a 2 bedroom house and spend over half a thousand dollars on inane bullshit each month, whilst being able to go out and eat $50+ dinners on a regular basis.
