[Accepted]Worthy's Tajara Application
Brutishcrab51 replied to Worthy's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
For the points raised by Matt, I don't have much to say. They represent my views here accurately. I love your characters, and it's pleasing to see them on the server. Aella Quinn, Lily Hawkins, Farah Malik, they're all great characters that I've interacted with to at least some extent. I'll +1 this application for the above reasons raised by Matt, to reiterate. You can handle this. -
[Accepted] DriverMonkey's IPC Application
Brutishcrab51 replied to DriverMonkey's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Go for it, DriverMonkey. I've seen some of your characters - ATHENA, Christine, Dynamia mostly (I think we spoke recently about some of Dynamia's backstory?), and I know you've got a mindset showing willingness to learn, and play an IPC character properly. Shameless +1, you've got what it takes. -
[Denied]Arkter's Head of Staff Application
Brutishcrab51 replied to Arkter's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Could you expand upon your character's backstory, and perhaps some of the minor capitalization mistakes I've noticed in your application? I haven't had enough time to see how your character interacts with everyone else, which throws your activity into question. I'm leaning towards a -1 as well. This is only your fourth post, you may want to invest yourself a bit more with the community before opting for a Head of Staff whitelist. -
Incog's Tajaran Boogaloo

It's my ancient boy, IncognitoJesus. The Saxy Reich sends his regards. I think you're absolutely capable of handling a Tajaran character, and +1 this happily. -
Feedback: Alistair Woolery - Psychiatrist
Brutishcrab51 replied to Timmato's topic in Character Stories
I've actually interacted with Woolery a few times. Usually, however, after some traumatic round action or unusual event for my characters that limits interaction and RP, but that's not the point. He appears to be a grounded psychiatrist who has a serious demeanor, and is willing to go some level of extreme length to carry out his duties, and job. Circa Halstere cracking him with a bottle, and him insisting on soldiering through it. As some would say, it's a testament to his character. My interaction, though, is limited as I said. Only a few rounds, and that's not much. I like him, though. -

[Resolved] DasFox revhead complaint
Brutishcrab51 replied to sdtwbaj's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
As a CCIA who was online and handled a FAX regarding the announcement, I should note, the announcement certainly caused a spur in Revolutionary strength. By getting all the Revolutionaries to storm Security and murder the ISD in cold-blood, with Mining hardsuits, Phoron pistols, and telebatons. Against unaware Officers with tasers. I shouldn't say too much, but the general consensus was that the announcement was off, and previous orders seen as acceptable. This was confirmed when the CCIA who responded to the FAX (Myself, with Whiterabit's oversight) declined the order. -
A trio of Medical Arses - Player(s) Report
Brutishcrab51 replied to ajstorey456's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
One Dettler was arrested for attacking a Raider prisoner being held by the HoS (Myself), another for viciously beating an Officer (Something Shimizu) with a wrench, after being fined. I didn't see an awful lot of their shenanigans, as I was busy that round hunting down other Raiders. -
>Ready at roundstart, Visitor. >Go to the Bar. Get whiskey, cigars, start to talk to Carmichael. Crystal is announced. >Start hearing voices, seeing hallucinations. Unusual. >Start hearing voices in your head. >"YOU NEED THIS POWER FOR MARS!" >Red eyes, bulging green skin, freak out in the Bar. >Medical Doctor tries to sedate. Clock her in the jaw. >Break out of Medical after Chloral. Smash Doctors around. >Get riot shield, riot armor, run around screaming and breaking walls. >Hold off six people alone at Medical, power of Mars. >Fight for the Captain. >Vampire? >Fight the Vampire, power of Mars. >Get the Vampire down to near-crit. Get grab-fu'd. Neck cut. >Rest in peace, power of Mars. >I loved it.

[Denied] Kyutness' IPC Whitelist Application
Brutishcrab51 replied to Kyutness's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I'd suggest Hephaestus Industries, or some sort of made-up analogue company. That's generally the go-to company in lore for synthetics/prosthetics/augmentations and the likes. -
[Accepted]Yonnimer's Head Of Staff Whitelist App
Brutishcrab51 replied to Yonnimer's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Oh, Grown By Star Light? Hell yeah, I love your Diona scientist. I've seen him around often as well, as a Head of Security or as a Visitor both. You're active, and you're the Interim Director often enough to display and prove that you have the mindset and the skill to handle the position OOCly, and a decent character to fill up the role ICly. This is an easy support. +1. -
[Denied] Kyutness' IPC Whitelist Application
Brutishcrab51 replied to Kyutness's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've never seen your character, but I'm of the opinion that if you look like you're capable of handling a character, a race whitelist (Or, mechanical whitelist), then there's no reason to give a -1. I'd like you to clarify a bit on the origins of your character in the backstory, though. What company made him? What is his IPC-given designation? This doesn't have to be your name, but one notable example - Noir, let's say -- has a series of numbers and digits to represent a unit 'name', but is still known as Noir. -
[Accepted] Brutishcrab51's CCIA Application
Brutishcrab51 replied to Brutishcrab51's topic in Moderator Applications Archives
Yeah, as explained on Discord, it was a while ago. I'm not quite sure which server it was, I don't think it was either of them. Regardless, experience with these servers isn't being listed in this application. -
Jennifer Beal's Portable Wardrobe Kit (And Outfits)
Brutishcrab51 replied to Synnono's topic in Completed Items
No reason not to support this, especially because Synnono displayed (s)he(?) could sprite the models on their own, if need be. I think this'd be an interesting addition, especially for a dedicated civilian character like Beal. +1. -
Personally, I feel like the 'New Map' is too confusing. I'd prefer if the factions were all named as opposed to simply named by system capital, but that's my only real complaint. If you could find a way to make it clear what factions are what, I'd prefer it over the old map by far.

You'll have to forgive me, I have no idea who you play, and I have never seen you before on the server. What characters do you main aside from Beatrix? What roles do you play aside from the selected Security Department? I'm curious, and leaning towards a neutral as opposed to a -1, as I believe you're just new.

Basic Information Byond key: Brutishcrab51. Character names: Kalren Halstere, Mariabella Cypret. Age: 17. Timezone: UTC-7. More locally known here as MST (Mountain Standard Time) here in the US of A. What times are you most available?: Really, any time from about 12PM to 8-9PM, weekdays or weekends. Experience How long have you played SS13?: Since early 2014. First server was Noxstation, a friend of mine by the name of Shriden showed me the game. How long have you played on Aurora?: Well, I first tried out the server in 2016, but my activity was really sporadic until about three months ago. So, safe to say, I've really been part of the community for the last three months. How active on the forums, discord and/or server are you? I'm on the Forums and Discord every day, and I'm usually on the server at least two or three rounds on a bad day. Other times, I'll spent eight to ten hours straight on the server, as I have before. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: Nope, I haven't. I think I've only got one warning in the past year, as well. Have you ever volunteered as moderation staff for any other servers, SS13 or otherwise?: Was a Senior Administrator on ArchAngel, and staff for a number of HL2RP, Military RP, Apocalypse RP, Fallout RP and Star Wars RP's but there's too many to name. My time on Garry's Mod was far longer than SS13, I started at it in 2011. Do you have any other experience that you believe would be relevant to a position in the CCIA?: Well, I've played Internal Affairs roles that have long-term actions on a number of Garry's Mod servers (MPF Internal Affairs, Intelligence, so on), but I doubt that's entirely relevant. Personality Why do you want to join the CCIA?: I figure I could probably spend my time helping as the eye-in-the-sky for Incident Reports. Along with that, I've seen and heard how the CCIA don't have enough capable players, and are usually low on manpower, so, I figure I could toss my dice into the ring and help out. What do you think are the most important qualities for a CCIA Agent to possess?: Patience, no doubt. CCIA Agents need to be unbiased in situations, and keep a sense of justice when it comes to corporate regulations. It's pretty simple in that regard, they're an eye-in-the-sky. What do you think the purpose of a CCIA Agent is in an ongoing round?: Handling situation reports from the station with admin-permission, responding to FAX's, pursuing investigations regarding incident reports, investigating station-bound requests if the situation is serious enough, and there's admin permission, generally providing oversight as the voice of Central Command. What do you think the purpose of a CCIA Agent is outside of the server?: Handling incident reports, namely. Most of the functions of a CCIA Agent is IC-based, but they're also the only individuals who can handle IC incident reports. I don't think I could name any of their other functions, I'm not familiar with them if they do exist. How do you handle stress?: Well enough. I main a Head of Security character and, I like to think, function well enough in that regard. Alongside that, it wouldn't be the first authority-esque role I've ever had. Otherwise, I handle stress fairly well from a more IRL point of view, away from my online 'persona', it's pretty hard to get to me. How well do you work autonomously?: Fairly well, I'd like to think. I've observed how the CCIA players operate, and it's evident they're usually often independent of one another. I'll be able to work at their pace, I'd think. Additional Notes: This was more of a heat-of-the-moment application written after reading about how the staff had plenty of people, but the CCIA didn't. Typed it up in about half an hour. Forgive the pain.

Aedrian Darthos Solarian Marine Dress uniform
Brutishcrab51 replied to Autism Speaks's topic in Denied Apps
Two people aside from me have applied for Solarian uniforms (In this case, only one has applied for a dress uniform.), I would hardly call that 'everyone'. But, we're not here to derail his application. There's a precedent for acceptance if you can prove you'll not be a tard while in the uniform, and I think Aedrian can avoid doing that. As for how sudden the application was? I'm not so sure, but, it's his character, not mine. ADDITION: Plus, even in the theoretics that this was accepted, he wouldn't be able to wear it if he was working - And he suggested ICly that his character would stop working for NT. Sounds like a strictly Visitor-only item. -
I think this would make the Agent Card pretty useless except for its access features, as now one of its main uses would be gone. Aside from the ability to change the appearance of the Agent Card, along with custom names and appearance that could be changed? I think it'd capitalize on the use of it, especially if this suggestion was implemented. But, differing points of view.
-
I'd like to reiterate my belief that this could be acceptable, if it was a wiki suggestion, not a set-in-stone requirement.
-
I actually genuinely like this idea. It wouldn't be too hard to implement (That I know of), and it'd increase the use of Traitor items such as the Agent Card, Ninja equipment, espionage and intelligence, and help a bit with metagame (From a passive, subconscious standpoint). I can safely +1 this, but I'd like the Coders to have their input here.

Aedrian Darthos Solarian Marine Dress uniform
Brutishcrab51 replied to Autism Speaks's topic in Denied Apps
This also seems a bit strange, considering your character just recently decided to join? What about training? What about actually being deployed? Wouldn't this character then vanish from the station for some time to train/deploy? If you were a veteran you know, maybe. But wanting dress garbs because a buddy told you about a special group of orbital assault marines in Sol? Unless I'm reading that wrong, it sounds like you literally just recently joined. Halstere does keep his identification card on him. Just in a pocket, in his PDA, there's never been an issue with it my good man. Plus, pretty sure I'm the only one who was authorized a Solarian dress uniform in the current times - at least, as a reoccurring custom item, and it's important to note that there are a number of regulations that surround this. You could go back to my own application to see about that, but, I'd give this a few days to review and wait. It takes a while to train and become what's essentially a sphess-mayn ODST (Cited from the Sol Alliance Military page on the wiki), and Halstere's a 9-year veteran who also doubles as a reservist, and also doesn't really work on the Aurora anymore. -
Personally, I agree with Zundy's line of thinking. Allow Roboticists to carry out the procedure if there is no Surgeon available, but heavily encourage that they seek out a Surgeon first. Could be enforced as a wiki guideline for Roboticists.
