  1. I like it. Me and Sharp had a brief discussion on the Discord over the Sol Alliance's military pages, and you won't find someone more interested in those pages than me. And aside from that, Doc's been here a good long while, and all it takes is to have some good ideas to swing my vote. I'll give a nod to this, Zundy's got some good picks ahead of him.
  2. I don't think I couldn't support this application, seeing what Aboshe and Doc intend to do for the Solarian military pages. Aside from that, Aboshe is an extremely patient and well-known Head Administrator. There's really no reason to shake my head at this, the man should be a Deputy Developer, and I'll endorse it because of that.
  3. I've played with DasFox often enough. Someone with a Head whitelist can keep themselves educated on a race, and they've been intent on the Unathi Whitelist. I trust they won't abuse it, and (s)he knows the lore and the Unathi playstyle well enough. +1.
  4. BYOND Key: Brutishcrab51. Character name: Kalren Halstere. Item name: Martian Militia dress uniform. Why is your character carrying said item to work? For much the same reasoning as Halstere has worn a Solarian uniform up until now, it's a display of his reserve status as a Martian Officer, that is valid only whilst he's off-duty and as a Visitor. It's an article of clothing, and outstandingly, a large one given it's a full uniform.[/hr]Item function(s): It's little more than an article of clothing. A trenchcoat to go on the o_clothing slot, a uniform on the i_clothing slot, and a peak cap on the head slot. Item description: Martian Militia Dress Uniform: A brick-red uniform with golden shoulder-scrubbers, a crisp tie, and golden buttons, complete with steel-grey slacks. An image of Olympus Mons is stamped on the left bicep. Martian Militia Officer Coat: A decorated military coat with an aiguillette, arm-bars, and golden buttons. Made of a thick material. Martian Militia Dress Cap: A red and black peak cap with a golden Officer Corps indicator on the brow. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? In much the same way as I have been with the Solarian uniform - it's a conversational piece, and shows a bit of life outside of the Aurora. If there's one thing Halstere is by now, it's a Martian Nationalist, and it'd make sense to replace the Solarian uniform with something more relevant to the character. The uniform is still an official Solarian uniform - but, more of a sub-branch, a uniform specific to Mars. Additional comments: The sprites for the uniform are completely finished, as such, if additional images are needed for the item appearances, do let me know. Credit to Pegasus for spriting them. As well, I am expecting, hoping for, and 100% alright with the clothing being job-locked behind Visitor, just as the previous Solarian Marine Dress uniform was.
  5. Military symbolism from something aside from Sol. Eeeeey. You've done Ash LaCroix, Knight, and Kusanagi. You can handle some dogtags pretty easily. +1.
  6. I'm not a man of many words, and to be quite fair, I never have been. After reading through this thread in full, re-reading it, and then talking about it with others on the Discord, I've come to this belief. Coalf, you're a fantastic guy, you've been here for a while - longer than me, surely -- but I don't think that makes you qualified to shoot straight for Head Lore Master. If there were a normal Lore Developer application? Absolutely, I would support this, you have great ideas and have talked about how you would go about inputting them. But you didn't. And personally, I don't think it's acceptable to shoot up to a position that's already being held by the likes of Jackboot, who does just as much work for the server as the next guy. That's why I can't give the nod to this.
  7. Hey, why not. This is such a mundane item, and it's a good point for the character. This is such a simple, acceptable thing. +1.
  8. I've never seen your characters, I'll be honest. Maybe once or twice, but not often. I trust this is mainly due to us having differing timezones. And, to be quite fair, the backstory of your character is a bit iffish. Victim of a Skrell attack, unlawed, and there are a few spelling errors. IPC's have positive and negative signals in their heads that act as their moral conscience, not necessarily laws. Could you work on these a bit, or clarify them? I'm not sure I'm willing to fully support this application as it stands.
  9. This application is hereby declared canon, and all relevant characters have been deleted or have had their players banned. Accepted.
  10. +soup. I have always enjoyed Heist, it opens up a number of gimmicks for the round's antags. This isn't too much of a large change, but may have serious effects during lowpop.
  11. I'm changing my opinion to a +1, after the backstory was editted. I'd also suggest you take Lord Jackboot's suggestion into account, 'tis the only way you'll get accepted.
  12. +1 ye' man. I've had plenty of interactions with Tomiix's characters, and have spoken to them off the server, on Discord. Come on now, they can handle this. +1.
  13. I, personally, made an application for and was accepted for the Head of Staff whitelist only a month and a half after joining the server, which proves that the means to gain the whitelist is circumstancial at best. You just need to display that you can handle it. Here's some bullet-points to work on, for your next time around. 1.) Backstory. Backstory, backstory, backstory. Tell us everything there is to know about this character. Where she was born, who her parents were, who her siblings were, where she was raised, how she was raised, who raised her, who her friends were, what her drives were/are, what her interests were, what trouble she got into (if any), how she was educated, how she got the means to be educated, who educated her, where was she educated, how she got a job with NT, what she's done with that short timeframe (very end of your backstory). 2.) Interim head-of-staff time. It's easy as dirt to find a Medical department without a CMO, just be brave enough to approach an HoP or a Captain and ask them for an Interim title. You need to be professional in how you present yourself, but outgoing, and should make sure your fellow Residents/Doctors/Surgeons/EMT's know who you are. 3.) Time. Now, this isn't a big one, as I said it can be very circumstancial. But, with time, comes recognition. With recognition, comes acceptance. With acceptance, comes leniency. People won't judge you as cruelly if they know your ins-and-outs. That's all, folks. I am heavily impressed by your attempt here, but I feel you should try again at a later date. Maybe in a few weeks, or a month, when you get more time under your belt. -1, for now.
  14. TO: Gael Ordin, Warden, NSS Aurora FROM: CCIAAMS, NMSS Odin SUBJECT: RE: Incident Report -------------------- BODY: The investigation of this incident has concluded, and appropriate action has been taken for affected individuals. 15. Not a bad idea at all. Could probably leave this equipment in the break room of Research, or in the labs on the sub-and-upper levels. This might help along with more passive research, and encouraging people to see the scientific side of those weird alien artifacts that Xenoarchaeology finds.
  16. Now, this isn't my area of expertise, but could you add the total ban length? That is, unless you don't know what it is.
  17. You're, unfortunately, mistaken. Tactical Armor was only available on the Aurora through the old Cargo system for Security, and cost 50 cargo points for one crate. I may just make this a separate suggestion all together to avoid de-railing this thread, though I'd think that this could probably be the place to discuss it. After the Exodus, you're right, Tactical Armor was removed from the Aurora armory. But, as I said, it was still able to be purchased through Cargo. Trust me, I bought it more than once while playing as an HoS. Along with the Z8 Bulldog, Combat Shotguns, among other things. TacticalHUDs were only available through purchasing the Tactical Armor set. Which, in this case, was: A tactical belt, combat boots, combat gloves, tactical jumpsuit, tactical armor, tactical helmet, green balaclava, and TacticalHUD.
  18. As far as I know, Tactical Armor was only available from Cargo after we got off the Exodus. But, as you say, alright.
  19. Why not re-add Tactical Armor as well? That's what TacticalHUD's were meant to operate with. ERT, HAPT, and Tactical Armor.
  20. Rhoda Marks? Lolly Vause? Marcus Halloway? These are well known names when it comes to the Captain, HoP, and ISD positions. Sdtwbaj did his research on the Skrell, he's been here for ages, he's a more-than-competent RPer, and it'd be nice to see more aliens onboard. There's no reason to -1 this, and every reason to +1 it. So, I will. +1.
  21. Could you clarify on the life of your would-be Skrell character, between his time on Jargon and working for the NanoTrasen Corporation? There's a lot of time for a Skrell to fill in, and that's half their story.
