  1. Strange that your guide lists the Bluespace Capacitor for the modular weapons, every time I try putting that in the analyzer it tells me the item doesn't have a tech origin.
  2. The poll was closed yesterday with green being the winner, so we'll be rolling with green stuff.
  3. Why do we have a feedback thread. Yes, give it to us.
  4. I personally prefer green as it makes Medical feel distinct. While I understand Medical and Security's uniforms are different enough to not cause a huge amount of confusion, to me it's still preferable that we not have multiple departments all have the same colour. Plus green is a good colour for healing and growth, it's also used in a lot of hospitals in real life, and it's just as soothing to look at as blue. Plus, every other SS13 server uses light blue. While one can argue that the different uniforms will make us look unique enough, I feel that maintaining green while also having different uniforms will maximize that. Either way, whichever colour comes out on top, the uniforms themselves are fantastic, and look great either way.
  5. I've found boxes of them in crates or on racks or in lockers at least on three different occasions.
  6. I'm not sure who told you we're LightBlueMed because it's not correct
  7. Moved this to Projects because it's had a PR and such. Also, the sprites all look really nice, they're very good. The only thing I would suggest changing is making the lockers, and signs and such green again, because Medical's primary colours have been green, not blue like on other servers. We already have bluesec, and blue command, a third thing having blue makes everything feel to monotonous, and greenmed set us apart at least slightly from other servers in a design aspect.
  8. As much as I love getting to dress up as Dr. Scratch, it's kinda weird, but the suit itself is fine. Removing the cueball hat but also adding this would be cool.
  9. I'll see what I can do.
  10. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing that should be done with the rat role is that it should be completely removed from the game, because 9/10 rats you see are just shitters. Why we have a role that exists solely to enable shittery I don't know, but yeah. They don't need mechanics to make them even worse, no thanks. -1

Big agree, it's a pretty easy fix.
  12. Title. I want to be able to listen to some music IC without having to cut myself off from the common radio and my entire department too. Or if that's not possible because the headphones are a thing that goes over your head and sits on both ears, could we add smaller earbuds so people can put just one in their free ear? I know people can use stationbounced radios instead, but they're not always available, they only work on one z-level, and it's just a hassle.
  13. I like these a lot, they're very good.
  14. I'd put that 7/10 on role-playing ability way higher personally, but anyway. I'm a big fan of the application, it highlights the whole Unathi honour deal thing pretty well, and it makes your character's motivations very clear, providing for his family and honouring the contracts that he's stuck in, even if he resents them. Roleplay wise, I'm also completely confident that Lupo would do extremely well with a whitelist and not fail to disappoint, all his characters are different and well thought out and are all a joy to interact with. It's a big +1 from me.
  15. Hi. Please use this thread for things like this, or DM myself or Fernerr on Discord.
  16. I'd prefer if regular doctors had the green outfits, and we kept the green lockers and signs and such. The baby blue feels overdone and samey on every other server - and we already have bluesec. Otherwise, the outfits are nice. Also I really like the red virology outfits, and it makes it feel much closer to the orange that pharmacists have, which I think it good, given they share a workspace. It also lights up the part of my brain that makes me think "oh no danger/important" that should come along with biohazards and viruses. The CMO yellow isn't bad, but I liked it a little more when it had the more vibrant and saturated blue colour. Research ones are also good, but I think the black front pockets the roboticists seem to have look a little bit silly. Also, would it be possible to swap the stripe that goes down the arm for interns and give it to regular jobs instead? More uniform decoration would make me think someone has more qualification. Interns or assistants having more colour on their uniforms than full staff seems a little weird to me, but I guess that's just a personal preference.

As far as I understand, Paxton Coates went to the shuttle with interest in purchasing a firearm from the merchant. The Vox priced the item higher than Coates could afford, but offered to lower the price if he could sell him as well. Coates, for whatever reason, agreed, and mentioned over radio that he was for sale. While I do believe this was quite silly on its own, it's not the source of this complaint. The Vox said he would sell Paxton for either five-thousand credits, or whatever best offer somebody else could come up with. People began yelling over the radio about slavery, and a few people headed up there. As a friend of Paxton's, and also the scientist that was supervising him in the department that day, I decided to piece together a weapon prototype without a firing pin that I could potentially trade along with some credits for Paxton's release. When I got to the shuttle I saw the Vox, everybody listed above as victims, and the Sihle. I offered the prototype and credits to the Vox in exchange for Paxton's release, but before anything could be said, Sihle loosed his baton and began striking the Vox. The Vox managed to push him down long enough to run towards the cockpit, and then Sihle began firing the contents of his .45 at them. While Sihle pursued the fleeing Vox, Kuhwinla and myself attempted to break Paxton out of the showcase area, which was done with little trouble thanks to Kuhwinla's gear. We grabbed Paxton and attempted to run out of the shuttle, but the airlocks closed on us a second too soon, and the shuttle departed to the Vox's home base. Sihle began bashing at the airlock to the cockpit, which the merchant had bolted from the inside, and he ended up completely breaking the electronics in no time flat, effectively turning the door into a wall. The Vox had informed us that they would return the shuttle back to the Aurora if we returned the weapon that Paxton had wanted to purchase which led to this situation in the first place. We were happy to accept this, but Sihle insisted that the Vox must, and would die, in the name of his Great Spirit for the atrocious act of slavery. This is the attitude that actively made us unable to negotiate with the Vox for safe return to the Aurora, as Sihle was adamant in his resolve to kill the Vox. The Vox made their demands for our return clear; that they wanted their weapon back, they wanted Sihle to back off, and they wanted their cockpit door repaired. They would have been easy to carry out, but Sihle continued to press that he would only offer mercy if we were immediately returned to the Aurora, making negotiations impossible as he continued to wave his weapons around. Rather than doing his job as a security member, and trying to keep us safe, he sat outside the cockpit, armed with a halberd, in an attempt to pursue his bloodlust with an almost relentless dedication which threatened to leave us stranded on the asteroid base. The rest of us retreated into the base, hoping to find some way to return, all while communicating over the Common radio channel (thus, we were still within range of the Aurora) to keep the ISD and command aware of what was occurring. Akinyi found a voidsuit and ended up resolving to, I can only presume, attempt to breach into the cockpit in an attempt to reach the console to send us back. They slipped however, and ended up drifting back to the station by pure luck. The rest of us fled back into the back compartment of the ship, and we saw the Vox move through space, into the vented room that Akinyi breached open to make it outside. Sihle charged them, utilizing his weapons against the Vox, killing them, and taking their ID. They then carelessly ended up exposing the rest of us to the breach, venting off too much oxygen in both the base and shuttle, leaving us to scramble for internals and masks (we were one too short, leading to Kuhwinla's lungs becoming damaged), as he made his way around to send the shuttle back. We were greeted by other members of the ISD when we finally returned to the station, and I can only hope that they arrested Sihle, but I ultimately do not know what happened. The shift was over, and we had already missed the transfer shuttle due to the ordeal. He bragged about carrying out the divine will of his great spirit over the radio or something, before we headed off. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: It wasn't formally reported as the shift was practically at its end, but the Captain was aware of the situation through radio chatter. Actions taken: None, as we did not manage to return to the station until after the shift end. Additional Notes: Frankly, I'm abhorred that NanoTrasen allows brutes such as this within its Security force, brutes more occupied with sating a base need for bloodlust and murder, rather than doing their proper job of protecting crew. This complete carelessness resulted in the physical injury of Miss. Kuhwinla, and considerable emotional distress for Paxton Coates. I hope something is done in regards to this behaviour. I'll also be forwarding my grievances onto the nearest Necropolis Industries representative.
  18. Please remove it ASAP yes yes yeah yeah yes please. Getting your appendix removed like 5 times is incredibly stupid, and if you get it during deadhour you're basically dying. Yeah, it's possible to keep someone alive with a ruptured appendix, but it's difficult and a huge pain in the ass, and not something we should have to deal with. Otherwise, add some other way to fix it that isn't literally only surgery. +1
  19. massivement gay garçon français, et une sécurité principale -1 Goret is a fantastic player, and I've always adored the interactions that I've had with his characters. I know that he's a good player and that he would be more than capable of wrangling the overzealous and validhunty security officers that have plagued the game as of late. I have full confidence he'd play a good member of command, huge +1.
  20. A rocket launcher of any variety on a space station sounds like a terrible idea, but don't even get me started on a rocket launcher being used on a facility where Phoron is mined and refined regularly, where Phoron exists in gaseous and liquid form in several places, and where welder tanks are literally absolutely everywhere in maintenance. I'm also on board with wanting the ion rifle either gone or severely nerfed, but I think replacing it with a rocket launcher is a bad idea. Is adding a rocket launcher to code a cool idea? Absolutely, and I'd be super down for that. But having it replace the ion rifle in the armoury sounds like an absolute cataclysm waiting to happen; the potential for collateral damage is nearly excessive.
  21. Please tell me this is a late April Fools joke.
  22. That little one round experiment unearthed a lot of bugs that need updating, so if anyone was playing that round and noticed some stuff (aside from the obvious like Telecoms, the hellish shields, psych stuff missing, etc.) then please let me know either here, or in a DM on discord (Joshie#6623) so I can make it as playable as possible for this event. Thanks!
  23. I've never been much of a fan of this kind of idea, namely for the fact that were it to pass, it'd practically kill entire character relationships. For example, say two or three characters are all characters that play Chief Engineer on a rotating basis from time to time, and they're all good friends IC that enjoy interacting with each other and doing stuff. If it suddenly becomes disallowed for heads of staff to play lower roles, then those two or three characters will never be allowed to play or interact with each other on server ever again. You might argue that it's realistic, at least compared to real life, but it takes a big massive steaming shit on actual enjoyment as characters with an invested and developed relationship with each other are suddenly unable to interact in round. Not everyone does Discord RP, so that isn't always an option, and it's still not the same as playing in-round. You might just say "play Visitor", but that still makes RP difficult when command characters have to spend most of their time doing their job, managing their department, or having to deal with antags. Not to mention, I've only seen this even remotely be an issue with security, at least to the extent that you're describing, so it's very much not fair to dick over everyone else. Big -1 from me, I don't want established character relationships to become completely null and void.
  24. Sol is like on fire and crumbling and suffering under and authoritarian government. The Lii'dra were almost two years ago on a single planet which is recovering, and the religious tension isn't anywhere near as bad as the tension in Sol. I've already got an Elyran character that I play semi-often but I'll play them way more for this. ?
