Even better: If Crew Transfer passes, AutoTraitor stops traitor generation period. CT cannot be stopped anymore through IC means so having a traitor pop up with only 8 minutes (CT is 16 minutes, 3 from waiting, 2 for travel, but you can't do it within the last 5 minutes before it docks so that's 8 minutes removed) doesn't allow much of anything

Actually, they have less than janitor access. Janitors get basic departmental access + maintenance access. TCFL just have maintenance and I really do believe they should have at least janitor access for getting into SOME parts of the station during emergencies. But that's irrelevant.

Make all harm intent hand-to-hand attacks default to punching
GreenBoi replied to Scheveningen's topic in Archive
Eh, I don't see a point in this. If you don't want them to get hurt too much, just don't keep fighting them once you see some blood go down. Currently, all the races that have claws (Tajara, Unathi, Vaurcae) can run a decent distance away while the other person will be busy bleeding. Most people who start bleeding in a fight, usually don't want to stick around until the end of it since big ugly cuts are usually worse in the long run than a boo boo. -
Changeling Straightjacket Rework/Handcuffs
GreenBoi replied to Fortport's topic in Completed Projects
I'd rather die as ling than be stuck in a fucking cell for the entire round with scientists who don't even purposefully try to let me escape in some way OOCly...so yes, this is good. +1 -
I think Electro-shock Therapy equipment could be just added as a Syndicate Item. Here's a current thought of it: Neuro-Shock Helmet - 10TC 'An illegal, normal-sized helmet used by the Syndicate to turn the tide of interrogations or hostages. Can be activated via remote control that comes in kit. Victim will have medium burns, and will be very gullible for the next 6 minutes once done.' Ideally, it'd take 10 seconds as a whole. 2 seconds to charge up, 8 seconds to fully shock the victim's brain.

What's daemite for? Apparitions? Visible ghosts? Placeholder for potential new mechanic of summoning strong half-coporeal spirits?

I want this so I don't have to wheeze whenever I get cut as a Vaurcae and am not within a meter of k'ois or some gauze.
-
Hmm. That could do. With only one cell, the other antags could escape through communal using the secret method I talked about earlier and then hacking off the wall by the isolation cell and freeing them, or just making it a fake wall so ANY prisoner can escape there

Chubby doesn't mean overweight, it just means slightly fat or looking fat, which happens when you stuff a lot into your stomach. I've looked a bit fat when skinny from just eating too much in one sitting. Also, bloated means the same thing in this context sooooo....... no

Oh yeah, I'll also say this....Night-vision shouldn't cost blood for Vamps, if anyone plans on it, but if you have to for whatever reason...make it cost a periodical 5 blood, half of what Presence requires.

Yeah, it's that bad...but that's for Veil stepping over walls Addendum: Though, you could also bargain that Veil Step should be a toggleable ability that, when toggled, let's you see through walls and lets you tp to one dark tile for maximum usage, but that's not the purpose of this post.

Ok, so this has been known for a long time, but....Vampires are creatures of darkness and BLOOD. They are seen as blessed beings by Cultists and probably have their own Cults of Personalities and super high egos from how powerful they are. That's all nice and stuff but..... Can Vampires please gain the ability to have Night Vision, or at least toggle it? Like, it'd be a nice QoL ability AND it'd remove you from that awkward feeling where you're a Lord of Darkness, skulking through the maints, veil stepping everywhere...but...you can't see anywhere because you're not really a lord of darkness ?

[ACCEPTED]Diggiez Kicks the Anthill Whitelist
GreenBoi replied to GreenBoi's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
What I Like: Wxkri can turn a normal interaction with a racist into something else. Instead of just getting offended and going "You are racizzt!", they just laugh it off and leave the person ICly confused. I could also imagine Wxk subtly (or not so, depending on who's watching) getting someone to yell a slur at them given their extensive knowledge of the typical non-vaurcan psyche. -
The objective of this suggestion is simple: Brig is often the end-all-be-all of Antagonists because they'll be locked into a cell with no way out unless they're Ling with horror or Vamp with Veil Walk (or a Cultist with a tome...which is rare since Security usually confiscates it because 'UHH SUSPICIOUS'). Solitary is even fucking worse. You're dumped into a 2x2 room with nothing to do except afk until roundend or someone decides to free you...which is rare. Security will never interact with you outside of looking at you sternly as they walk by or having their gun ready to shoot you as they talk to you. Solitary is quite inescapable unless you're the same antagonists mentioned before, under the same circumstances w/ the same abilities (or a traitor w/ a spare backpack of doorhacking shit inside a storage implant). Communal at least has a not-well-known method of escaping that you can use to escape and progress the round. Solitary has nothing, and can be used by any Officer or HoS for anything as long as it had the words murder in it. We don't need it since it removes all ability of interaction.

Can the Junk in your Pack event be called 'Bluespace Trash Msifire' where Odin says they accidentally beamed trash into a few people's backpacks by accident.

Roller beds are meant to be easy to run across lengthy distances with and are for emergencies, so they're allowed to meant to be fast as they must be for emergency use. A wheelchair is for the average use of someone crippled in the legs, they don't want to be zooming around when they don't have to...it'd also take a lot more strenght & energy to move a wheelchair as fast as a roller bed than a roller bed as fast as....a roller bed.

BYOND Key: diggiez Character Names: Preston Fulton, Orde Halson, Gage Birolen, Gabriel Archonisol, Josuke Houstani, Zakaria Ibn-Eazim, Duanmuhe Haogan, Jyar'Qoin Abuii, Qim Aulo'Uol, Oraa Nul'kyx, Ron Roids Species you are applying to play: Vaurcae What color do you plan on making your first alien character: Moist Clay Brown (81, 21, 0) Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: I read the Vaurcan lore section of the wiki last year, out of leisure and when I scoping out potential whitelists for my first whitelist. I reread them recently, read them over again after that and it's just as I remember so Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Last year, I said Vaurcae were the most alien race in Aurora Lore...a few months ago, I stood by it, and I still stand by it. These giant, terrifying-to-look-at bug-people have the most eccentric..history in the Auroraverse lore. You have this species in a caste-based society, which on its own isn't too interesting, that used to be much stronger and more powerful years ago in a crippled & weak position, left to the mercy of aliens they don't understand nor fully trust. Unlike Vox, the Vaurcae can't even replicate some or most of their best weaponry, and while they do have powerful organic troops, those troops take a lot to maintain, train, and actually grow (again, unlike the Vox since Vox are just bodies w/ stacks inserted). Vaurcae are at a point in their history where they could technically be wiped out if they started a war since the rest of their population suffering on Sedantis don't have enough materials to forge new hiveships and evacuate the dying planet & the Vaurcae in Tau Ceti and systems near are very concentrated...a few well positioned bombs could wipe most of them out and the High Queen C'thur can get fucked by Jargon at any moment. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Vaurcae have an extreme biological dependency on Phoron...which happens to be what the Aurora is famous for working with! (right?) They are very bug-like and rely on pheromones for a hefty amount of stuff. Each Vaurcan, regardless of caste, is augmented to assist them (commonly with an internal tank so they don't DIE because they're not in PHORON LAND). The bugmen are also well-known for their lack of physical expression and occasional confusion on how humans choose to convey or act theirs. A human could genuinely confuse a Vaurcan by crying while smiling. "Are you in joy or discontent? Your facial expression befuddles me." (though this would apply mostly to vaurcae who haven't researched humans too much in the VR because their job doesn't demand extensive knowledge) Character Name: Ka'Viax'Vuklz Zo'ra Please provide a short backstory for this character Ka'Viax'Vuklz Zo'ra was a fresh worker, born shortly before the Titan Prime was first detected, and under the Brood of Ta'Akaix'Xakt'yagz'isk Zo'ra, Queen of Corpses & the soon-to-be partner of Getmore Corp. At some time during 2458, Vuklz was appointed by the Queen to be sent to work at a Getmore facility to increase her ties with the corporation as well as the Brood's industrial strenght. The Bound worked endlessly at the facility, often sleeping inside of it only to resume work the next shift so the Queen could show her usefulness to the corporation. At the turn of 2460, Vuklz was arranged by Getmore to be transferred to the NSS Aurora, from the Worker's shown of seamless work and cooking. As a chef, they would be able to keep the Vaurcan workforce at the station fed whilst advertising Zorane products, free marketing on the Queen's end. What do you like about this character? Vuklz is just a cook who cooks and cooks and cooks until it would be pointless to continue creating food. They've had all the training they needed for the most common human foods (as well as some of the most well-known/expensive) & could fit ICly as a small connection to Zo'ra and their influence. They're a literal alien cooking food that you'd eat normally, but also alien drinks that might weird you out. For other vaurcae, Vuklz works as a small middle-man who gets them a quick bit of K'ois paste or an energy drink to get them through the shift & maybe gives them a small factoid about what they've observed humans to act like. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I'll never use objective, numerical ratings to describe my subjective view of myself so I'll continue to describe it in words: I think that when I try, I could easily get into the mind of the character I'm playing; I often think about small IC consequences that some players don't consider for their character whenever anything happens, especially big things like pay changes or money drains; all that good criminal stuff. [In order words...still average] Notes: Vuklz is a concept and may not be the character I play for my first vaurcae (though I'm actually interested in making a Bound similar to them after writing this) Also, the reason I compared Vaurcae to Vox a couple of times earlier is because they both give me a similar tone of 'Fallen Empire desperately trying to regain tech'. Once, I even called Vaurcae 'Vox, if they had actual lore' because of the themes until I learned bugs were actually slaves to vox or something at one point I used to be a dumb dumb and crush anthills when I was fucking 5 and get confused why I couldn't find the holes I just caved in

Only the QM, Captain, and HoP know the account number for Cargo. As a normal technician, you (unless under special circumstances) will never know what it is so you have to ask for a superior to input it themselves.

I think we should go for the EVA-tied Distress Beacon route for a couple reasons: 1) ICly, an EVA-bound beacon would be able to transmit it's signal much better than one all snug up inside, the signals would be able to spread slightly faster and much more broader in whatever semi-encrypted frequency it's using. This could be used to explain why Pirates would get it instead of ERT, maybe the signal just bounced to them while ERT was busy and before TCFL could launch 2) It makes sense as a company decision. Think about it, NT has ensured there is no way a crew member can be without internals with all the Emergency Lockers scattered about. Hell, there are so many lockers, we often forget about them and how easy it is to hide in one when being chased. But yeah, if NT has the beacon tied to the roof or some EVA position, it allows it to be used in a better emergency. Command isn't onstation 24/7 and sometimes only 1 is brought to the station, if that person is killed from a surprise Lii'dra attack or from the rare terrorist, the crew is FUCKED unless they get the spare....which was probably stolen. Having someone, a vaurca, or literally anyone (since everyone has access to 6-minute lasting EVA gear) be able to go full Die Hard and scale the station to get and activate the beacon allows for emergencies to be handled. It also enables ALL of the crew to call for help, not just 5 people who will be prime targets by external threats 3) Imagine being an antagonist and joining a party of people going EVA to activate the beacon with the thing being that you plan on backstabbing them. Maybe you push one off when they're separated, now they're going to crudely die, echoing your name into the void as the others are now cautious. You pick off another with a makeshift weapon you have and when they're about to activate the beacon, you whack them off. Now the beacon hasn't been activated and anyone else who comes out will have to deal with you. It'll give chills.

The only argument I've seen against a xeno or two being able to know is that "if the xenos can learn that, why can't humans be able to learn theirs". I don't see the point in having arbitrary things that make no sense ICly. Yes, a Unathi, Tajaran, or Vaurca may be unable to talk in Sol Common correctly (especially Vaurcae since their speech is fucked up), but then you get to the Skrell who can pronounce things on a higher sound spectrum humans can't fathom...and they can't speak this language that's super low in comparison?

Hell yeah! Just make it so the Javelin needs a Sonic Jackhammer to be made. For what's listed as it's ingredients, it would be incredibly easy for a traitor scientist to make a WMD and just dismember fools from afar. Jackhammers take a while to get at least. You'd need to wait until 20-30 minutes into the round at least. 40-60 at most.

No. Vox can only exist as Merchant or Raider, both of which will happen about every 8 rounds, sometimes it might happen back-to-back if you're lucky. This also isn't the first time this suggestion has appeared here, and each time, most have said no. A simple way to counter this is just by having the Inviolate auto-spawn in a Vox's memory, in bold red too, so the player knows to follow it.

Oh yes, please. I've been DYING to have laptops in Loadout and NOT waste all of my money as visitor.
