Bad.....dragon.....what? Nevermind. Sounds decently cool. What's the pop cap on this one? Like, how low will the server have to be to spawn newmap?

Player Complaint - Resilynn
Itanimulli replied to TehFlaminTaco's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Congratulations for missing the point in a variety of ways. They said "thank you" because you decided to tell them you saved them from something that was in your hands to begin with, as they additionally pointed out. Then you decided to add in some shady-a[==] extra 2 cents about learning your lesson on the value if someone's rp skills. If you couldn't tell by the end of that conversation that what you did was unwarranted, no use in telling you what you did wrong. You aren't going to listen. Since you missed the point of the beginning of my post, let me sum it up: irrespective of what happens in a round, one should still never ooc about the round in any form while it is still going, with the added caveat that one should not additionally be going to that person to complain. Also, extra lil' swangy-swang, I shot you because you had already killed someone. You had plenty of chances to run away and had already established that you were hear for no other reason than a weirdo murder game. -
Player Complaint - Resilynn
Itanimulli replied to TehFlaminTaco's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
I'm going to be honest. I don't care about how you intended the gimmick to go. I don't care about what IC interaction you had with who and why and how. What you did was then go onto discord almost immediately after you died, and start talking to people in discord about how bad, in your opinion, they RP'd. I don't care who you are and why you did haynow, don't talk about the round while it's still going, and definitely don't do that SAME THING in a manner that expresses disdain over thier rp. Leave it for after the damn round. The complaints that you came to these people in discord appeared before the shuttle call even arrived. You can't even try to evidence them imo. You came out of this knowing you were upset, and still decided to tell THEM what THEY did wrong before you calmed down. I feel that is...highly, highly irresponsible. I myself, as Aegis, got tired of that gimmick really, really fast. The whole rules thing was really whack and didn't make sense until you were actually in front of someone. Coming after the someone in surgery is admittedly low, but it can be excused sometimes. Until this complaint, I'd thought Willow had been alive to witness their death. Nope, killed them while they slept for some arbitrary gimmick reason. Nomatter how you dice it, and comparing this to my own experiences, this is a gank. Now for the skrell. I thought they acted in a valid manner. A serial killer attempting to kill someone? Why didn't you think about the fact that you were attacking the 2nd most logical-minded species on the station? That's about as foolish as attacking a vaurca under the guise of being Lii'dra. They responded in a way most skrell would: stalling. And you were stalled. Shoot their arm or something. You had a 9mm, it's not like it would have killed them, and it definitely would have changed some minds. Then you apparently chloral'd them, wich I completely missed despite being nearby. Then you blew up, both literally and figuratively, and now we're here. Don't want to get complainted on? Don't go complaining to the people who you were against. -
I think you missed the giant f-ing pannel that says "deploy hardsuit" that is right by the other pannel that says "hardsuit modules." Are you thinking of Voidsuits?

Ameline Hemory's Dominian Culinary Attire

I'm unsure what Shadow's going on about but +1. -
Sounds like the terminator rig. What say you?

Have you....read the lore? The skrell litterally harbour the C'thur and work towards making them seem more presentable (Wich is why C'thur don't need Avowals). Straight from the lorebook: The C'thur have quickly integrated into Skrellian colonies within Glorashi and are predominately accepted in skrellian socioeconomic systems. As for the thing about Eridani, it used to be that bygone had some sort of plan with Zundy, but oh well. As for Unathi, perhaps not all of them, but once more from the lore itself: Following a tense first contact situation, the K'lax became the newest vassal of the Izweski Hegemony and settled Tret, the second planet of Uueoa-Esa system. They maintain a subtly warm, if terse relations with the Hegemon as a whole, and have committed to its terraforming agenda, being instrumental in the implementation of such a monumental undertaking. As with any race, NT would ruthlessly exploit auch a vast supply of buggy bastards with vast supplies of dollar-valued muffins.
-
Hated and loathed....on the fronteir, and are currently in a suspicious view because of recent Lii'dra related events. NT on the other hand does not give a shit, and neither do most Unathi from the hegemony. And neither do people from Eridani. Or most skrell. It's not at all far fetched to have this exist in a vendor. At all.

[Accepted]MoondancerPony's Tajara Application
Itanimulli replied to MoondancerPony's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
God dammit Moon. Anyhow. This cat seems to be indeed a cat. You seem to be knowledgeable about cat lore, wich are the point of whitelists. So +1. Now go help us fix synth lore. -
It's up to the administration wether or not this is either ban-worthy or a gank. As far as self antagging goes, you brought it on yourself. The AI clearly said breaching into the core means boom. And.....you intended to breach into the core. What you believe is excessive....does not seem to match with even those in your party. I've spoken to a few people (who I will not name; they will join the conversation on their own terms) and it's in general agreement that you are the only one who holds this issue in such a light. Please refer to Hakra's post. As for Burger. Genuinely sorry bro. We were looking to live a long time without having to stock back up on phoron. Iok located phoron, and I, being the bartender, agreed to grind it up. I'm not really sure what the phoron in chemistry is used for. Perhaps I shall inquire with you later.

Total antagonist rework (or just merc/raider/wiz/ninja)
Itanimulli replied to kyres1's topic in Archive
I agree on the priciple that so many gimmicks are just rehashes of the same thing, and that's literally the gripe people like kaed and burger have with most roundtypes. -
I mean, you could say this is about "ganking." But you made it pretty clear that you were going to go for a ban sheerly because of the fact that you found the Vaurca (Iok specifically) rebelling to be bullshit and that he should not have made any effort to think outside of the HoS's orders under the currently presented circumstances. You clarified for all of us in dsay several times that it didn't make sense to you that Iok would try and prevent a potential nuke if "you told him the AI can't acess the nuke." You initially had no real issue, either, until you learned that it wasn't rev. You just went "Those revs were annoying" and then learned that the round type was not indeed revolution. You were then egged on by TehFlaminTaco to make a complaint. Sure, sure, a complaint is fine, maybe get a warning issued, but you went straight for a ban, stating that "this wasn't over" and that you were still salty. Sorry man, even though this complaint isn't directed at me, and I fully understand the reasoning behind your dismay, I can't let you just claim things that don't add up. Your problem was with the gimmick, the failed AI shutdown, and the idea that Iok wouldn't slagree with what you said. I will re-iterate over and over that you made it clear in dsay of your opinion. Also: Ban requests are ONLY for reporting outright grief that occurred when admins were not online to handle it, or extremely serious cases that are not suited for a player/character complaint. Examples: Phoron griefing for the former. Violation of laws such as distributing illegal content for the latter. Also. If the infractions described in the ban request have already been dealt with by a staff member, a ban request will not change the outcome of this. If you feel that the outcome was unjust, you are encouraged to post in the Staff Complaints section of the forums. Staff was present + handled it, I'm almost 99% sure of that. Make a player/character complaint. That's what this is, ultimately.

I was afainst it, and then Burger brought up the multidimensional chess, but now I'm back to saying "That's a no from me, cheif." Antags make breathing room for themselves for (usually) good reasons. Yes, I know it's annoying for a ninja to port into the office and chair rp, but the- wait can antags also hit the panic button because that would be awesome ninja distraction.
-
No rp was generated? Whew. Just whew. Your little isolated experience missed out on a ton, from other people trying to stop us, to people getting in an entire argument over access restriction on the mining airlock, to someone doin' some neat fear rp about the sheer presence of the ion due to having a mechanical heart. With your little accusation of "no rp being generated," what exactly did you expect to come from ending the round 15 minutes into the gimmick? What rp did you expect from nearly wordlessly preforming the very actions the AI repetitively told you not to do? You couldn't really justify yourself in Dchat, either, instead opting to say that "the vaurca should have listened to you" even though characters are supposed to have different responses to situations. Your explanation about it being "natural" to stop the AI is abysmal, all of command spent the time in contradiction to eachother about the nuke's existence and purpose.

Methinks this will just end up another reason for sec to utterly kill a gimmick the moment they see someone in a uniform that isn't exactly like all the other uniforms. This method of thinking is counter-intuitive and ruins any chance for antagonists to do anything but immediately go loud, because the moment someone brings up regulations it's all over. How can you explain why you've got a brown uniform when you're supposed to have a workman's uniform? How can Nikit wear his trademark purple labcoat when the rules'd now enforce white labcoats only? The captain would also be restricted to these regs. No more chenogsams for Himeri Kawa.....kawa....something. Sorry. Formal uniform only. No exceptions, because people wanted to limit fun. Sorry, can't stand behind this. Haha. No. I don't know if you've taken the time to look at lore, or any of the canon events that exist, or ever just bothered to talk to someone playing chaplain, but the station is very, very multicultural, and that's the draw of Aurora in the first place. Multiple species in one spot. Multiple stories all converging on one place of work. We whitelist according to these cultures, according to this fact. If we were as strict as you say, half the taj on this station would be out of jobs, no guwan would work here, and it'd all be humans and IPCs (if that, even) walking around in mundane circles. We're not Weyland-Yutani, we're NT, and you better believe NT cashes in on absolutely everything it can. This has become less about the defense of cloaks and more about people deciding the station is something it isn't. It's a business casual melting pot. We have a Bar and a Chaplain, for crying out loud.

removes some PDA messages that had ERP elements in them
Itanimulli replied to Scheveningen's topic in Completed Projects
Don't you tell me what to do with my damn implants. -
The vault feels as if it encourages antagonists ti try and break in. That's how I like it. We've had tons of rounds where some doodad didn't even get two steos close to it and got shut down by sec. If you know how to do it, you should be able to. Sec can look at the vault camera any time they want. I'd rather there be a method of getting into it all sneaky-like.

I like the rationalization of this. I didn't really understand the depth behind this until I read this application. But, now I'm a bit more sold on the conceot overall. I think that the only gripe I have is this not being in the game already. +1.
