I'm quite a fan of Crew Resources Officer, it feels like it fits the role well.

Could we get a locker of cold weather gear in EVA storage? (Coats, mittens/gloves, woolen hats, winter boots) Would be useful for visiting adhomai and future cold planets

About these new sensors (from an Intrepid main)

I can add that it's a similar issue with the Horizon. I spent part of the first round (before the ship's engines were taken offline by antags) of the S'rand'mar sector flying around, and only came across one thing, missed both planets and the other spawn -
I would hope overmap mercs would get access to a more generic ship then a Solarian one, so they can use it for their gimmicks more easily
-
Agreed, while there are errors made sometimes, it's not often enough to really be a concern

Big +1 here, this would be great for RP. Polaris has this system (that works in exactly the way suggested here) if anyone wants to look into seeing if it is able to be ported at all.
-
TG has a feature where the HOP can set a 'requested job' or something, this will show that job is one that is wanted on the station to people who are joining from the lobby, this could be useful here.

Cross round persistant dirt/graffiti would be cool, sticky notes and messages on message boards too
-
That's a decent idea too

Our ship weapons cannot clear all types of hazards Though, dust clouds, ion storms and electrical storms just have ship gun rounds go right through them
-
So my suggestion is for the OFD (Obstruction Field Disperser) to be ported from Bay, and altered to use our ship gun system. The OFD is a ship mounted tool used to clear overmap hazards, it can be loaded with different kinds of charges for affecting different hazards, for example, an EMP charge can be used to clear an electrical storm or ion cloud, and an explosive round can be used to clear a carp school or asteroid field. Another use it has is acting as a drop pod, it can send a crate to a certain tile, though any living thing inside will be gibbed, so it cannot be used for delivering crew, only supplies. There are also mining charges for it, which can clear out a area of rock on a mining asteroid or other area with rock when fired at it. From what I know, the OFD is fairly ineffective at being used as a weapon (both due to short range and not being very strong against ships), and if it were implemented, I could imagine SOP/regulations against using it as such. Here, it could be tied into using the targeting console, and be loaded by operations, giving the console a use outside of ship combat scenarios.

I saw a conversation on the relay OOC that it could be implemented, but it'd need some very complex stuff implemented for it to do so, which killed the PR that was trying to do it before

As the title says, I would like to see the ability to have saved appearances for third party ship roles, this way you would be able to customize a character for a third party ship in the same way you can a horizion character, giving them markins, prosthetics, etc. This could either be done via having them as an actual character save, like how merchants are a off ship role that has a save slot, or some other way (though that seems more complex) I'd also like to see loadout along with this, for third party ships, this would especially be useful for third party factions that may have reason for characters there to pick loadout items, such as characters having augmentations in a zeng-hu thirdparty ship.

Yeah, that's what I meant One way exit to get out of it, with access to something like medical and engi to enter it for rescues
-
I'd also suggest a emergency exit door on the bottom level, with one way access leading out of it. access to get into it could be limited to engineering and medical, perhaps, for rescues.
-
If anything, I'd think BC should get engineering radio, since they would communicate with engis regarding thrusters and such on an everyday basis, not just special times as with ship guns and Ops.
-
Agreed, both the Intrepid and Spark should get distress beacons
-
I think what they mean is Say someone has a character very close to the limit Time passes and the character's birthdate now is past the limit. What happens then? Resetting their age to the default does not seem the best option
-
I remember world server having a system like this, perhaps it is port-able
-
to add onto that, perhaps a marker for if someone's winded by staff, too, so people coming into the situation can see that
-
something like SSD floating over them would be a good thing, to sure 100% it is an OOC thing
-
Seems like a neat possible idea. Would also be neat for roles like the TCFL to send reports home with. I've also had an idea of s9me some kind of alternative way to hail/send a message to a ship that does not rely on them answering their holopad, or some sort of sector wide hail.
-
I wonder if like, the BS drive getting destroyed would cause a big explosion if it's spooling up then perhaps the round ending continues, but instead of a bluespace jump, it has new messages, of the jump failing (maybe in different ways depending on how much the drive was spooled before getting destroyed?)
-
agreed, great idea, it would be neat to have the voted roundend as a 'shift change'. in addition, making the (specially activated) bluespace jump remove the Horizion from the overmap would be a neat thing too, to act as an actual escape from threat +1
-
could the TCFL third party ship's holopad be moved to by their helm? Otherwise they may be piloting and have no idea someone is hailing them.
