Alright, edits made. As for what happened more or less: Guns had been handed out to a few people (including my character) by the new kingdom officer some talking and exploring around had happened someone on the radio called for people to come over and join them I headed towards their GPS signal, through a cave I got lightly wounded by one ha'rron, but managed to shoot it and get the wounds tended to. Further in the cave, there was a second ha'rron that managed to down my character and severely wound her (due to facts stated in the first post), a person nearby was able to kill it and kept doing CPR on my character/used emergency injectors until someone else arrived to move her to the medical hut. My character was taken to the medical hut on a roller bed, and died shortly after arriving there. -

BYOND Key: Greenjoe Staff BYOND Key: Cael, Lucaken, Alb (unsure of ckeys) Game ID: one before cms-daF5 (event round) Reason for complaint: First I want to say this isn't an attack on anyone here, so sorry in advance, just that I disagree with the ruling that no deaths will be retconned from the event. A single ha'rron attacked my character near the start of the event, and it's extremely fast dodging side to side, combined with severe lag due to the number of players on the server, caused it to be extremely difficulty to get shots in on it. This resulted in it managing to down my character, and injured her to the point that she died upon being taken to the medical hut. I feel like a death like this hardly adds to the story, and didn't meaningfully add to the roleplay. Now, I'm not asking for my character to get off scott-free, no, I'm fine to have her sustain severe injuries, more then likely moving her out of security due to them. These changes could bring some great RP opportunities, with my character's life changed and having to take a different career path. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks:

Agreed, which is why I'd prefer the XO to just be renamed instead, while remaining equal to the rest of the heads of staff. -

If xo had to get the same species requirement as captain for this to happen, that would be quite a kick in the nymph for any diona xos, who only recently became a thing with mini lore arc and everything. To suddenly go back on that wouldn't be good. Not to mention it would not be good for any other non-skrell alien xos, who would suddenly be facing permenant demotions through no fault of their own. -
I'm quite a fan of Crew Resources Officer, it feels like it fits the role well.

Could we get a locker of cold weather gear in EVA storage? (Coats, mittens/gloves, woolen hats, winter boots) Would be useful for visiting adhomai and future cold planets

I can add that it's a similar issue with the Horizon. I spent part of the first round (before the ship's engines were taken offline by antags) of the S'rand'mar sector flying around, and only came across one thing, missed both planets and the other spawn -
I would hope overmap mercs would get access to a more generic ship then a Solarian one, so they can use it for their gimmicks more easily

Big +1 here, this would be great for RP. Polaris has this system (that works in exactly the way suggested here) if anyone wants to look into seeing if it is able to be ported at all.

TG has a feature where the HOP can set a 'requested job' or something, this will show that job is one that is wanted on the station to people who are joining from the lobby, this could be useful here.

Our ship weapons cannot clear all types of hazards Though, dust clouds, ion storms and electrical storms just have ship gun rounds go right through them

So my suggestion is for the OFD (Obstruction Field Disperser) to be ported from Bay, and altered to use our ship gun system. The OFD is a ship mounted tool used to clear overmap hazards, it can be loaded with different kinds of charges for affecting different hazards, for example, an EMP charge can be used to clear an electrical storm or ion cloud, and an explosive round can be used to clear a carp school or asteroid field. Another use it has is acting as a drop pod, it can send a crate to a certain tile, though any living thing inside will be gibbed, so it cannot be used for delivering crew, only supplies. There are also mining charges for it, which can clear out a area of rock on a mining asteroid or other area with rock when fired at it. From what I know, the OFD is fairly ineffective at being used as a weapon (both due to short range and not being very strong against ships), and if it were implemented, I could imagine SOP/regulations against using it as such. Here, it could be tied into using the targeting console, and be loaded by operations, giving the console a use outside of ship combat scenarios.

I saw a conversation on the relay OOC that it could be implemented, but it'd need some very complex stuff implemented for it to do so, which killed the PR that was trying to do it before

As the title says, I would like to see the ability to have saved appearances for third party ship roles, this way you would be able to customize a character for a third party ship in the same way you can a horizion character, giving them markins, prosthetics, etc. This could either be done via having them as an actual character save, like how merchants are a off ship role that has a save slot, or some other way (though that seems more complex) I'd also like to see loadout along with this, for third party ships, this would especially be useful for third party factions that may have reason for characters there to pick loadout items, such as characters having augmentations in a zeng-hu thirdparty ship.

Yeah, that's what I meant One way exit to get out of it, with access to something like medical and engi to enter it for rescues

I'd also suggest a emergency exit door on the bottom level, with one way access leading out of it. access to get into it could be limited to engineering and medical, perhaps, for rescues.

If anything, I'd think BC should get engineering radio, since they would communicate with engis regarding thrusters and such on an everyday basis, not just special times as with ship guns and Ops.
