Thinking about it but my gut tells me "no". I would rather focus on building good relationships between the cortical borer and the host. Almost everyone is enjoying having a worm inside their head so i think currently its just people talking about it on discord. No i do not think i will. I have heard your opinion i just disagree with it. This is what our heavy roleplay means.

I believe that this is simply how aurora should be. It is a consequence of playing on a server with antags enabled. I do not think it is healthy to allow for RP you can just opt out of. Instead of throwing our arms up and stonewalling things we should all be willing to roll with whatever happens under the rules with our characters. It creates a better game. Also before anyone brings up cult conversions i also dont think you should be able to resist those either. Its not relevant to this topic. Rev is a special case that relies on convincing people with words. Its not spooky mind control. You're still your character except now you have a spooky brain slug in your head. Its not quite like being dominated by a vampire where you literally lose all sense of self and have to do what the dominate tells you to do. It is simultaneously possible to be under the controlling effects of a cortical borer and still be your character. Yes and i will stand by that. It creates a much healthier and fun round if every host goes "oh cool a chance to RP something new! Whats up brain slug?" instead of " ; THERES SOMETHING IN MY HEAD CONTROLLING ME AHHHHHHHHH". I do not really care if your character would genuinely scream over the radio about it. I am saying it would negatively impact the round to such an absurd degree that i am forbidding it.

It is a cringe meme in looc but if i saw this i reckon i would have PMed the player and politely ask they not do that here. I really do not want to go too hard into criticizing the way you went about talking about this. I suppose it would have been preferable to ahelp. I am not sure how paradox was PMed, dunno if it was brought up in server discord but i was not mentioned or anything. It really does not matter though and i just want to focus on the "Yes that is not ok" in regards to tummy rubs. Marlon's "gotcha" aside i do not think anything @BurgerBB may have or may have not done in the past prevents him from bringing up a related issue. So, about prate. Well prate can have opinions and he can also be wrong. I am sorry but i do think you are wrong prate. Under our rules we do expect content and interaction here to remain largely PG. Physical touching and stuff like this i do think falls under this. Even then this is just an observation under the rules. It does not assume anyone is acting in bad faith. It just means the player needs to be bwoinked and politely asked not do that.

Im sorry but i do not really know what else to say here that has not already been said. I do agree though that "tummy rubs" are over that line of PG and.... really weird though. While what is creepy can definitely be subjective i do not think its impossible to evaluate subjective systems within each other. No rubbing tummys but i suppose you can hold hands.

Im saying its an act of God that you where not permabanned forever up until now. Your history is so bad that i do not really want you playing here. Doesnt matter. We have the right to ban you from our community if you continue to exhibit problematic behavior related to it. I do not really know what else to say here other than i cannot lift this ban.

Can you for transparency's sake walk us through the investigation you did here once geeves posted his request?

So, let me just compile a list of what i see server and discord side. 1. Bauser was banned from the player discord in 2018 for being rude to some of our members. This ban was appealed twice on our forums. The first was not successful. The second was. FInally, bauser was banned a SECOND time on the player discord in November of 2018 by me. It was due to being very rude and hostile to other members in the thunderdome. 2. In 2018 Bauser was also banned from the forums for telling an administrator to fuck off 3. In 2019 Bauser was banned from the server 4. In March of 2019 bauser attempted to appeal his forum ban and was not successful. 5. In May of 2019 bauser was unbanned and given soft-banned permissions on the forums. This meant that he could see and post in the appeals section of our forum for the purpose of an appeal here 6. In July of 2019 bauser was permanently banned from the forums again for violating the terms of his soft-banned role. This was placed by alberyk due to a post made in this thread. Bauser was banned for this because it violated our rules of not posting if you are not involved. 7. In july of 2019 bauser received a note detailing his problematic behavior in our OOC channel. 8. Finally we come to the ban request made by @geeves and handled by @Alberyk . Alberyk dispensed swift punishment with a ban reason detailed here. Now before i continue i would like to speak a little bit about points one through seven. I have had very little personal interaction with you in my tenure here. I have no ill will towards you or very much impression at all outside a few mentions in conversation. I feel that i am in a good position to remain as objective as one could possible be regarding another individual. As i was reading over the various bans, appeals, warnings and punishments a pattern emerges. It is very clear to me that you very rarely if ever take responsibility for your actions. I say this not to insult you or degrade you it is just an empirical observation. You continually clash with members of our community and you get punished for that. When nursie noted you in 2019 or when alberyk re-applied your forum ban they could have straight up permabanned you from the server over it and that would have been that. I believe your history is that bad to warrant such a severe punishment. I am afraid i just do not agree that the pattern we see here is a mis-characterization. In this thread even you seem to have a fantastic ability to whitewash the interactions you had. The screenshots posted by snake show it to be FAR far more than " i just said he could not mathematically prove god exists". So while i admit that the ban request was handled quickly and i am more than a little uncomfortable at the lack of specific evidence in that appeal i cannot in good faith say you should remain here as a member of this community. I am sorry dude.

Its really difficult for me to arbitrate over conduct in the relay and department discords. They are not places that myself and the rest of the modmin team have direct authority and supervision over. I am way more interested in what was done on the forums, the server and our discord. I will have to check through some things but spoiler alert its not exactly clean. No disrespect to you or anything bauser i just have to rule on what i see.

@Bauser Temporarily moving you to the "soft banned" group. You should be able to view this thread and post in it. I am doing it because its really awkward if you have to keep going through proxies. If you cannot then just send me a friend request on discord or something and i will try to fix it. Anyways, this complaint looks to be hella lengthy and involved so it will take me some time to properly sift through all of the information. Please bear with me.

Yeah so, a reflexive shot DOES drop the aiming mode @Randy @Marlon Phoenix @ShesTrying I just tested it in game and upon further notice i see TWO reflexive shots from the screenshot. If you are aimed at and you get shot that is 100% your fault. This ban does not seem valid in this case.

The screenshot you provided shows you only aiming at them once and them being shot because of the aim once. The screenshot shows your aim being dropped. Your screenshot only lists them being reflexively shot once.

Thats... a little strange. I mean would you want to get revenge on a security guard who brigs you for ten minutes? No that would be silly.

Can you explain exactly what you where doing and exactly what shestrying said was not what a sane person would do? You have very little information here.

There is no real way we can verify this and based on the situation it just does not add up man. I am sorry i have to concur with alberyk.

I am not saying you are lieing i just need to check the logs to verify.In the mean time i will see what olivia has to say here. I will post my thoughts once that is done.
