So, either this entire situation was IC or it was not. I am not having both an IR and a player complaint exist over it. I promise i am not trying insult you or anything when i say this. If it was an IC issue why didnt you make an IR? I have sent a message to the head of CCIA about this situation. If the IR is valid then this complaint will be binned. If the IR is not valid i will move forward with this.

I am confusion. The wiki says security can board to resolve disputes between crew members. You fraudulently sold items to security and created a dispute between crew members. I have some staff telling me that the merchant vessel is supposed to be like "sovereign territory" and other thats it not. At the time everyone in msay just felt that it was an IC issue.

My experience ghosting over combat situations with the brainmed testmerge has been largely negative. Putting someone down for the count is a lot harder when they dont have a fixed health bar. It means officers and antags keep getting back up to fight for a little bit more despite absurd and grievous injuries. Added to that it feels like its a bit harder to die and even if you do we still have cloning. I do not mind combat being made harder to get killed from but cloning absolutely needs to be removed from that equation. I also feel like this is an indirect nerf to every antag because antags as a whole are less likely to be traeated for by the chain of healthcare we have.

You knowingly and willfully scammed security by selling them a fake weapon for an absurd price. You defended yourself by saying "well scamming isnt illegal". Its egregious enough to mark as a hostile act toward the station which security can do something about. Breaking your door was lame because you could not play anymore so i deleted it. I couldnt find the item path for a new merchant door or i would have respawned it.

Alright, thats fair. I do not know what this poison was but i think if you did not know what it was IC then force feeding it to the RD is..... pretty much metagaming. As to whether or not you had a good reason to whoop his ass or not i do not know. Ok but the away mission shuttle comes with TWO tank storage units with 10 oxygen tanks each, a large canister of oxygen as well as a red storage container for even more oxygen if that one gets drained. This is like.... WEEKS of oxygen. That is an absolutely absurd amount of oxygen.

Most staff members seem to agree a discord ban is all that is needed here. I do not care about what happened on citadel. I also do not care if people complain about the round after it ends. I do this all the time. I do care about what i have already posted about. Server banning over this would be outrageously egregious.

That is because i think its pretty obvious that not only where you the one that started this you also began with snark. What did you think was gonna happen? That the devs would cordially approach you and go "oh i see you've upset attacked our work but lets still have a nice conversation". Come on now.

Alright so i am first going to lay out a brief sequence of events here. Feel free to correct me. 1. Burger initiates this conversation by saying this in code_dungeon 2. Burger claims testmerges are for checking balance and not for checking "very fucking basic shit" 3. Burger claims matt is being sassy. So, to start this conversation it appears we have already seen a direct attack on the development team over the brainmed testmerge. Stating that "none of this was tested" is speculation at best and pretty sassy at worst. I feel its a little unreasonable to then claim its someone else being sassy. 4. The conversation derails a bit in which burger feels his criticism is not being properly evaluated. Burger claims he was not being sassy. 5. The conversation continues to degrade. Matt is pretty obviously annoyed by this point. Its fairly natural to get defensive and give a little "attitude" when someone starts off attacking your work and being sassy. I think the logs here pretty clearly show burger doing this first. The logs from then onward are pretty much more of the same. Burger claims quite angrily that a bug occured to his character. Such a bug should have easily been caught if it where tested he claims. The devs attempt to discern some specific information from him. Burger continued to claim he was getting "traumas" despite matt claiming he removed the code responsible for giving people traumas. Eventually moon figures out that what burger was experiencing was NOT traumas but in fact the side effects of a few medications used to treat burger's injuries. At this point in the conversation we have established two things. 1. It was intentional 2. The PR was tested Burger then claims he was told by @Yonnimer that he "should not be getting traumas" and assumed that since he figured he WAS getting traumas that it was bugged. The conversations degrades more and more with "fuck offs" thrown around. I think it is pretty clear here that burger acted pretty rudely based off of hearsay and attacked the dev team based on misinformation.

That being said i shall expunge the warning from your record. It shall be replaced with a note linking to this complaint. Said note is not a mark against you in any way, shape or form. It is merely documentation.

Well as i have already explained i am afraid i do find that this temporary ban is appropriate. I would prefer you not walk away from this thinking the big bad admins are trying to kick you out of aurora but it seems there nothing i can do about that. I will be locking and archiving this in 24 hours.

The rules explicitly state not to do the first two. They do not state anything about messing with telecomms. I think its reasonable to consider it a separate category and not comparable to the first two. The engine exploding and the air being filled with phoron are both catastrophic and game breaking while not having the use of your is a significant annoyance. I think that as long as it suits your goal then messing with telecomms is acceptable.

Dude.... come... on First off this is how we write notes. We give a short description of the incident and also what happened as a result. Usually along the lines of "dont do this please". You have one note about being mean in LOOC. It was bad enough to get you a note. However one incident is understandable and thats why its just a note. You then did it again and it was even over discord this time. Then you did it a third time now. Do you think we just write notes for any reason we want? That we just made this is all up to ban you or what? I see a pattern of behavior and i see clear escalation to it. You where not temp banned out of no where.

According to your notes you have some incidents where you've done something problematic. That thing is approaching people in LOOC, DMs or other forms of chat and expressing your distaste or displeasure at the actions they took. Like here And here The key words on this one are "it wont happen again". I might be willing to believe you just HAPPENED to stumble upon the player in question after your ahelp did not end in satisfaction but considering you exhibited the same problematic behavior as in this notes i am afraid i doubt that. I think its very obvious to anyone that reads your looc messages in those screenshots would say you're coming off as condescending and rude. Even if i am willing to believe you did not chase after the player i would still agree with this temp ban. This is three times now you've done this. Enough is enough.

@Leudoberct Im sorry but i do think Kaed is right on the nose here. Your arguments seem to rely on the expectation that the AI will notice your radio messages. Its really really hard to expect this because of the insane amount of log spam the AI gets. I do not think this warning is inappropriate. I did forget about this i am sorry.
