Strongly disagree but i admit i do not play medical. In my experience you cant just make the tools a department has objectively worse and expect them to keep playing and having fun. I feel like making medical a more frustrating experience for both the patient and the doctor just wont be very healthy.

Let me just slide in between all this mewling. I only have one concern. I have seen many staff in my tenure stretch themselves too thing and burn out hardcore. You're a wonderful anomaly that has kept up a pace i can only dream of. I hope you do not overwork yourself and grow to hate this job.

I also agree that the AI is unhealthy for the game. It is frustrating when a role exists that is geared toward validhunting. If someone tells you to lock down the antag then you have to do it. You can also be a weiner and spy on all the dangerous areas that antags love to break into. Its not against the rules and your laws back up your actions. I think allowing it to still be constructed and having three cyborgs is a fair compromise. Though i will say that if it was the will of the people to keep the AI it would be pretty lame to remove it.

I find myself agreeing with the premise here. I feel like if you have a reason to wear armor you can wear whatever armor you want. That should be an IC issue. Help me out if i am missing stuff because xander griefed my minecraft server so i do not want to agree with them.

We could probably just make this against the rules. Right now maint loot is pretty much a first come first serve and that includes security. That's probably not great though. Is there value to searching maint at round start as security?

If you think about the statement i made for like two minutes you might think "oh well... its kinda weird if staff is only ever reactive... that doesnt make a whole lot of sense.... surely its possible to be proactive?". I am not always going to make perfect statements. I will correct you when you inappropriately try to use what i say. This is not about policy or conduct. Its just a phenomenon of how the system works.

Stop mining quotes of me to suit your agenda. Its really fucking annoying. I will clarify that statement. What i meant to say was staff action is almost always reactive in the sense that an ahelp comes in and then staff investigate it. This is because most of us tab out and play other games or are otherwise indisposed while we are on server. Proactive administration requires a supreme amount of effort that we are both unable and unwilling to pursue. I have spoken on this relationship a number of times over the years and it is usually in answer of a specific argument. An argument along the lines of "well its ok if this thing makes X behavior more likely because X behavior is against the rules!". Yes that is true but by the time we bwoink someone and dole out punishment the damage is already done and the round has already been shaped by it. We must develop and mold the server around this.
