  1. It would work similar to how deadchat is perceived in cult rounds. It is both OOC and IC chat. Basically exactly how it works when a cultist decides to ghost and roleplay with some ghosts at times, but other times you have ghosts oocly speaking about stuff.
  2. I've a few ways to fix this, I will outline how when I get back from work. But to summerize, a rewrite of the lore and generally people taking a more selfish approach is the way to fix this.
  3. Ryn is an excellent security bug. VOR THE QUEEN!!
  4. The same reason we have windows anywhere along the outside hull. The Aurora is the flagship station of NT so it will look nice, skyviews of the stars is nice.
  5. Similar to how the medical lobby has a rafter area, most hallways should also have this. The edges of which could be perimetered by gangways. This is to use the climbing mechanic more inside the station and to introduce more verticality to the overall station.
  6. I've no doubt in my mind that Jam could pull off this character that subverts expectations. They've done so already many times from my experience. While you could argue that I am somewhat biased for them, I can still call to attention dozens of times where interaction with Jams characters have gone above and beyond what I expect from the server, and is always, invariably, a welcome surprise. +1
  7. This is easily fixed with a weighted average dependant on number of players and or number of players in a department at round start.
  8. Four score and 11 days ago I opened this complaint to resolve an issue about ambiguous adminship and generally poor communication. Since, I've had another bad interaction with novi, where they fail to answer the most basic questions clearly. It is in these troubling times that I awaited docs responses to my concerns even after directly asking discord DMs. I'm not sure what more I can do. I have ahelped similar behavior from other wardens doing the exact same thing. Its not clear what I did wrong it still isnt. This failure of general communication has greatly effected my perception of this entire process.
  9. I do not like the second part of this suggestion. It makes it less RP focused in my opinion.
  10. We aren't randomizing the kind of resources/weapons/supplies, only the amount.
  11. A solid application. I normally interact with players indirectly as the stations ai, and what I have observed from your characters is good. I believe you would fill the role of director well as it particularly meshes with how you play. Your character is solid and your reasonings are sound. The one thing I could fault you on would be the few times you've played an antag. Perhaps it's just me, but whenever you are playing antag it feels as if a newer player is doing so. This criticism is slight however, and I have no doubt you would come into your own style of play of given the chance. +1
  12. Excellent idea, the message prompt could be set depending which of the four settings are rolled at round start. I am on the fence however of telling them exactly what is missing. What if its a general statement such as, Due to previous cutbacks, X department supplies for this shift are below average.
  13. I believe nonstandardized department resources will increase cargo traffic, as well as add more emergent gameplay to the average round. Department resources to me should spawn as one of four options( less than half of average, half of average, current average, or more than half of average) In this system, if you have four white med kits on average there is a 25% chance you will spawn with one, a 25% chance you spawn with two, 25% chance of four, and 25% chance of more than four. apply this to all resources in all departments and you have a variable inventory thats negatives could be offset relatively easily with proper planning and ordering.
  14. Theres a vermin flag for mobs, it would be easier to juse that instead of just limiting it to bees
  15. The purpose of this is to sell the fact that all Lii'dra are the same person. All players would know what all other players know. At times this is stymied by IC chat. This illusion could actually be better served if their chat worked in the same way deadchat does during a cult round. It is a semi-in character, but its also out of character. It would allow Lii'dra players to shorthand information to each other better, without having to worry about IC, and actually helps them stay in character of being perceived as the same person.
  16. I am willing to try my hand at spriting some, but I would want to go further. Holographic tattoos made of thinner than skin polymers embedded on the surface of skin. Aka a version of this technology being worked on today Said tattoos would have animated sprites.
  17. Cruise Ship Break Down causes Skrellian Travel Agency to Lists Tau Ceti as- Dangerous to Visit After suffering from an unknown engine failure, the Qui’qui’clip Cruise Agency's most expensive Starliner, the CV Roanoke was left stranded in Tau Ceti’s Ramovalich Cloud. The ship’s captain Haueshi sent out a distress signal that was received by NanoTrasen, who offered the stranded ship safe harbor on the NSS Aurora and its other nearby facilities. As for the CV Roanoke, while owned and operated by a skrellian company was actually built upon Terra and has operated in the Tau Ceti region for nearly 13 years without incident. The Super freighter NCV Anchieta coordinated with the CV Roanoke to negotiate the icy bodies of the Ramovalich Cloud, as well as to facilitate evacuation. The ship managed to leave the Ramovalich cloud with the NCV Anchieta's help just before its engines left it ‘dead in the water’ and waiting for NanoTrasen’s emergency response assistance. In the meantime, while waiting for assistance some of the passengers were sent to board the NSS Aurora as well as other Nanotrasen facilities such as the NSS Redemption and NSS Antlia. The evacuees are reported to have boarded the Aurora and while initially, they had a warm welcome, all of the tourists described “hostility” from Aurora’s security department, and the Qui’qui’clip Cruise Agency has lodged a formal complaint with NanoTrasen about their behavior. More disturbing reports came from the NSS Redemption, whose security staff refused to allow the 42 evacuees to leave their station's flight docks. For nearly two hours, the tourists reported they were left at the docking gates with no water or allowance for personal hygiene. In addition, the Qui’qui’clip goes on to say they will be formally requesting that Tau Ceti is listed upon the Jargon Federations DPT list, a collection of colonies and planets deemed dangerous for citizens to travel to. When asked for comment, a Jargon Federation Representative said they were deeply concerned with Tau Ceti's internal strife and will be reviewing options available to them to safeguard the rights of their citizens. More misfortune struck as within a short amount of time another disaster followed the evacuation. An exotic alien disease picked up from a Skrellian planet during a recent voyage started to spread through the stations that received evacuated personnel. CMO Embers On The Horizon oversaw a team effort to cure the virus upon the Aurora, while the primary researcher of the virus was the station-bound unit Bit. With their work, the virus was soon cured and all infected personnel and visitors made a complete recovery upon the Aurora. This was not the case elsewhere, with many evacuees upon the NSS Redemption needing to be hospitalized after repairs were completed. Twelve of the tourists evacuated to the NSS Redemption remains in critical condition. Eventually, the repairs had concluded, with ERT teams repairing the damage to the Roanoke’s thrusters. After waiting for a brief time for the agency to transfer over a service fee to NanoTrasen, the ERT disembarked and the tourists were successfully reunited with their repaired ship. The Roanoke is now beginning its tour of the asteroid belt, where it is scheduled to make several scenic visits to some of the more peculiar and beautiful locations within the asteroid belt.
  18. I don't get it then. I really don't I guess theres no point in playing warden when you should just let security murder the antags. The CE told me to try to capture them nonlethally so I released nonlethal and less than lethal weapons, keeping the lethal only ones. The officer in question yelled for help. I do not know what else could be done to warrant an emergency. I did not have an attitude. I asked for them to explain what I could have done differently. Would it be acceptable for example to respond once everyone is dead? If so then I will not respond until all of the security is dead, even if they call for help. As for what I said. I said it because they were just telling me to be more careful. That is useless information. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT I DID WRONG. That is being angry. I do not know how much clearer I could be. Simply stating- You should be more cautious. Is not useful information. It does not tell me what I did wrong. I KEPT ASKING why I should not respond for pleas for help. Or why I should not respond when the only two security officers are disabled and dead. It made sense ICly to respond so I don't know why I couldn't. Is it an OOC rule?? Please help me out here. I never got an answer. All I got were misinformation about me hoarding the weapons, and continued reiterating that "You should be more wary." Ultimately, Why can't I respond to a situation when it makes sense to do so Icly? Wardens, do it all the time I see, so what is different about this case? I am truly trying to understand, and if I am critical or come across as such its because I really, really don't understand. At all.
  19. I passed out both shotguns and both carbines as well as lethal 45. The only armory gun I kept on my person was the laser rifle, in the event the head of personnel who could give themselves all access tried for the armory. Any other weapon I picked up in the field from the killed or disabled officers. I did not have a poor attitude. I defended my point which from your own admission I did nothing wrong. So when you say to be more cautious than I am currently, it makes it seem like I did something wrong. If I did nothing wrong then why was this repeatedly reiterated? The entire conversation went on and on because I had no idea what you were trying to say. I could not have done more than what I did and I tried to explain that. Additionally. I denied access to lethal only firearms at first because security wanted to kill the head of personnel, not arrest them. I followed escalation better than the officers that you cite I kept weapons from. I gave them access to lethal only weapons when the situation escalated further.
  20. BYOND Key: Bygonehero Staff BYOND Key: lilahnovi Game ID: bVd-cSSa Reason for complaint: Error in ruling, Expunging of note on ruling. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: I wish for the note concerning this round be removed from my player account. I do not believe anything I have done this round was ahelpable. I believe I performed the duties of warden exactly as they are to be represented. I believe I escalated properly and responded properly when the antagonist disabled one active security officer and killed another. I do not believe it is my responsibility to identify if all members of security are afk or not before responding to an emergency. I took the effort to organize and arm the members of security that I was aware of before responding to the emergency myself. Because there were only a cadet and two active security officers, one of who was killed and the other disabled I believe constitutes a situation where the warden may act as a security officer, as described in the wiki. The points brought up in this ticket do not make sense to me as something that should be warned about or ahelped.
  21. Except, this is not the case. A tajara will outrun a human if they hedge their stamina bar. A unathi will outrun a human if they hedge their stamina bar. Even a Warrior Vaurca will outrun a human if they hedge their stamina bar. Hedging the stamina bar is the real-life equivalent of managing fatigue. Because the stamina bar exists, humans are NOT the best endurance runners, even though they have the most stamina. Endurance running is more than one's capability to take fatigue. Indeed, it also includes one's ability to manage the accumulation of it. The fact that all races currently with a stamina bar can manage it just as well as a human defeats the purpose of these mechanical differences in the first place. IPCS do not have stamina bars and they are fine. Dionae do not have stamina bars, and they are fine. It is not a critical mechanic, it is one that can and should be regulated.
  22. Shortness of breath, indeed being tired is not the same as muscle fatigue or asthenia and there is no argument from me for aliens not having some method of telling they are beyond their limits. They can tell such when they start taking halloss. The problem occurs when people hedge their stamina bar, so as to never empty it but never fill it. I believe limiting this ability to humans would further indicate what is already reflected in lore and code, that they are the best endurance runners.
  23. Humans have a keen kinesthetic sense, with biological mechanisms such as asthenia and muscle fatigability giving us a keen awareness of our bodies limits. Allowing proper management of fatigue. Believe it or not, many animals do not have this ability. Humans are the best endurance runners irl, and the best in our lore. I think only humans should see a stamina bar to reflect this.
  24. Unless you have a better idea, antmen would be affect the same as it currently is, but just with improved code. In specific, the super strong flashes? can you make it explode their eyeballs? Exploding eyeballs is cool yo
