The Zatimono was given to Iskanz Sal'Dans when he was ordained as a Sk'akh Warrior Priest in his youth prior to the Contact War. It's the Zatimono he wore whilst enaging Coalition forces during the years the war took place. It is adorned with no marks in rank and instead carries litanies and markings of the Warrior Pirests of Sk'akh. After swallowing the bitter pill that is the Biesel Oath to allow him access to better research facilities, Iskanz Sal'Dans keeps his clan banner with him as a reminder to never forget who he is, his purpose in Biesel and his grand aspirations for the Unathi people. Item function(s): It is a poster to be applied to a wall. Item description: A framed Zatimono, a Unathi standard worn into battle similar to an old-Earth Sashimono. This one seems well maintained and carries Sk'akh Warrior Priest markings and litanies. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? It's an immediate conversation starter which would trigger exchanges with non-unathi in the form of the general banner itself and an with unathi themselves due to what it represents without Iskanz Sal'Dans becoming an aggressively self obsessed: "What the fuck did you jusssst fucking sssssay about me, you little bitch? I’ll have you know I'm an ordained Ssssk'akh Warrior Priessssst, and I’ve been involved in numeroussssss sssssecret raidsssss on Coalition forcesssss, and I have over 300 confirmed killsssss..." etc etc guy. Just give engineers access and let them deal with it as "Maintenance Technicians" since they already exist as a roll and whilst they're not messing with t-comms, they can be upgrading equipment across the station. Yes this may mean people will mess with t-comms and fuck it up, but why not trial it and see how it goes for a few weeks? Might be cool guis.

Just get the reskin lil'homie then there will be no issues. If you spawn in with an RPED then you get an unfair advantage; it's the same rules for say sec' officers, they can't have custom pistols even though "they could easily just grab one anyway in like 1 minute".

You mentioned you like it grim-dark, can you give an Aurora lore example of the levels off grim-dark we'll be dealing with if you're manning humanities 'helm'

I'm totally for this. I've made it clear in previous threads that I'm for perminance in science as well as continuous discovery. You don't need to make up new shit for the same stuff everyday and besides, this still leaves room for you to make up your own inventions/discoveries. I've got a scientist researching the potential for humans to influence blue space via bespoke implants and another scientist trying to develop Unathi brand augs'. This wouldn't stifle roleplay I'm my opinion.

I echo Ricky's sentiments, can you give us an abridged teaser as to how you'll be working it into the lore and what you mean by 'nuking the earth'. We talking Fallout or 'Threads' (campy 'actually everything's fine' or grimdark realism), bearing in mind the massive effect it'll it'll have on characters current and new?

Considering you've just admitted to meta grudging Chaznoodles (albeit not in character) and have just laid your intention out to effectively stonewall his contributions regardless of their intent or quality, I highly recommend you seek a mediator in the form of a neutral staff member and discuss your misgivings directly with Chaz as "I am going to intentionally screw you btw" isn't really a good mentality to have UM. Since you mentioned it you might want to list the members of staff who are also planning to meta grudge Chaz as well so you guys can all get it out in the open and settle your grievances like big boys. Regarding Jazzy Chaz's app', I'm of a mind to say that I think you'll be a good lore dev' on the virtue of it just being you Chaz, but could you give an example of what you're planning on adding or changing so we can have a taste of what you'd be doing as lore dev'? Are you going to keep Delta's timeline? Finally some people have misgivings about you because they think you'll be crass and unapproachable, what do you say to that to put those people at ease?

Like it! Encourages roleplay between IPC and the science department as well. Perhaps instead of powercells add a new item, "energy wafer" which is basically a dull blue disk of "energised crystal" which carry a current which IPC's can literally consume? In my mind these would be made from glass from a protolathe and have three "types" linked to research level: Energy Wafer, High Energy Wafer, Super Energy Wafer? Either way, like it.
