I like both of these, mixed mobs and the ability to stun them for further ERPs via research. Mite-b-cool to have their organs and what not removable for actual research levels but that's another suggestion to be honest.

Ckey/BYOND Username: Zundy Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): Human Lore Dev Past Experiences/Knowledge: - -I used to run a wiki on a NWN 2 Roleplaying server "Tales of Moonsea" though it ended up getting scrapped as it was taking up server space. -I've also been a DM on said server for over 6 years and was head DM for around 3 years. During that time I wrote the entire server backstory and story arc for the "Herald of Chaos" campaign which has been ongoing for around 5 years. (User Cryosphere). -I also run tabletop games every so often with my group, areas of expertise is WH40K, Dark Heresy, Pathfinder. D&D 3.5e and some Iron Kingdoms and some Warmachine. Usually I homebrew the modules. -I'm a Quality and Compliance Manager in real life so I appreciate working to targets, time management and attention to detail. Examples of Past Work: -Server side I try to organise events for players to get involved IG, the latest being the ATLAS event. -Lore wise, my latest contribution (Odin Lore) can be seen here: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=9018 -Generally I like to think I help some of the lore devs with feedback (kekers) and ideas. Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): These forums, discord (Zundy). Additional Comments: My main idea for the lore is not to rewrite anything but instead build upon. My first area of focus is going to be around Biesel itself and the frontier factions, namely Elyra and Dominia at present. I would be very keen to work with the new Ant dev regarding a project relating to Elyra and the Vaurca. Regarding Biesel in particular, I want to pick up and run with the current Vaurca problem as well as shine a light on factions within Biesel which can be reflected in game in the form of events. I'd need to learn the sooper seeecret background lore though to see if my ideas will fit and to know what's running in the background. I don't want to step on any toes. Further, I will be overviewing all factions across human lore as a whole and seeing if I can bring them forward to the playerbase as well as update them to reflect current events, for example: ATLAS not being huge Nazi's, highlighting political groups in Biesel, drawing some focus onto the frontier etc. Lastly, I'll also be looking for current opinions and ideas of and from the playerbase to see what sort of currently overlooked ammunition we've got to play with and of course, I want to establish a close relationship with the coding dev team so that I can bring tangible, well informed and reasonable change to the table with their guidance. I've been here a few years and I've always been interested in the human lore side of things (alongside the Unathi) and I'd love to be given a change to bring some new ideas to the server which I think the playerbase will like. I also like to think I mesh well with the admins and devs in general, you're my bois/grills. Look I get that many people on here don't quite grasp heavy roleplay and the applications of the background server lore onto the game itself and frankly this low ropleplay nonsense is boring me so I think it's time for me to go on a semi-permanent hiatus from the server to find another, more grown up game :^) But seriously though fair enough, if folks don't think it'll gel then nevermind, thanks for everyones input. Keep as is I guess. You losers.

Hey by all means remove the drugs (though NT would be powerful enough to have such products in Tau Ceti space imo) and soylent green. Strange with the rations since they give more neutriment then chips which move my from yellow to green no problem, and personally I've never had a problem filling up from rations. What I was driving at though, was to make the food bland and boring to encourage people to seek food from other sources. The company as it stands is apparently fucking amazing to work for, providing perks galore. The vending machine change idea is supposed to bring some much needed exploitation into the game itself, as we already have lore.on how shit the company is.

Controversial suggestion but: Lore wise- Replace the current vending machines with NT vending machines. I makes little sense for NT to pay for another company to sell shit on station when it's supposed to be a grim company to work for. For the sake of game balance vending machines should remain, but be replaced with NT brand machines. Cigarette machines can stay unmolested. Game wise- Remove all contents of the machines and replace them with: LiquidFood Ration, Soylen Virdians, Soylent Green and Kois Bars for food vendors and; Water+, Quanta Cola and Biesel Soda for drinks vendors. Water+ would be a 1 part Citalopram to 3 parts water mix. Quanta Cola would be 1 part Methylphenidate, 1 part coffee, 2 parts Space Cola mix. Biesel Soda would be 1 part Methylphenidate, 1 part coffee, 2 parts Mountain Wind mix. Want something nicer? Buy it from the chef/cargo. Thoughts? Ideas?

But what if my character knows your character but OOC you don't remember my character and your character interacting? So when my character goes up to yours and says, "Hey Kaed McKaed", you might say I was metagaming. Then it becomes a he said, she said scenario as there's no way to prove it either way. Not saying it's a bad idea, I just don't know how it could be realistically enforced.

I'm all for this. Coupled with a reduced spawn timer and a more roleplay intensive alternative to cloning (the ol'defib) I'm all for this. I think death is cheap on this server as players act fast and loose with their characters lives (rushing a heavily armed antag with a crowbar, ";help at me" spoken with a gun to their throat). Knowing your character may be out for the count should encourage players to respect their characters lives. I am concerned that this may lead to a rise in "ninja nurses" though, who'll justify their valid hunting behavor with not wanting their character to be knocked out of the round with much huffing and puffing. There will be teething problems if this is implemented to be sure. Regarding metaknowledge, you still have this when being cloned. I'm not sure why respawning in as a different character suddenly makes this metaknowledge more potent. Regarding antags being kill happy. Well of course they are, the character can currently just get cloned and anecdotally many players make it very difficult for their characters to not be killed.

As I said before, though this doesn't interest me I know others are interested and therefore if there's a big enough need a separate sub forum would be good for this. Yes we have other forums that this may appear to fit into but let us remember that this isn't IC interactions nor OOC feedback, it's a blend of IC to OOC which I think (if there is enough desire for it) could do with being separated.

You know what fair play, if a coder wants to code it and add a section on the medical computers/PDA for this sort of thing then I don't see why not. It's not negative or unbalanced in anyway.

Now that the dust has settled, mice should be able to bite (albeit with literally 0 damage, like getting an empty candy wrapper thrown at you). I'd recommed having them deal 1 holodamage perhaps? Thoughts? This is not a meme. If you think the idea is silly by all means say so.

+1 from me. Perhaps this is where the confusion and misunderstanding is stemming from, that things like swinging a pickaxe, running, eating food etc will some how be linked to this system? For clarity, this system would not be lifewebs system. It would only apply to the actions we already carry out. No "I have better stamina because x" as we don't have a skill that reflects this, purely "your CQC is untrained so you're shit at it mechanically, you're medicine skill is professional though so you're 100% great at it." -
