[Resolved] Character complaint against Alicia Forest
Arrow768 replied to Knightroid's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Yes, I noticed it in a round after the 11.Sept. A engineer requested that the captain refuses the tesla to be setup (out of fear that it might be released again). The captain ordered that the tesla may only be setup if supervised by a CE (who was not present at the time). Forest was very insistant about setting it up, but understood it after a lengthy talk with the captain. Imho, that is nothing that could not be handled ICly with a ban from the tesla and forced psych visits. -
Reporting Personnel: Paul Jonson Rank of Reporting Personnel: Captain Game ID: bQq-cskV (Incident 1&2), bQq-cQa4 (Incident 3) Personnel Involved: (Name, Rank: Offender/Witness/Other (Ckey)) - Bo Lazarski (Offender) - Shakazsh Eitzashazh (Other / Initial Reporter, Incident 1) - Ss'aktha'a Khokesh (Other / Initial Reporter, Incident 1) - Jack Carter (Witness / Reporter , Incident 2) - Ezekiel Taylor (Witness / Responding Detective, Incident 2) - Sason Kasperi (Witness / Arresting Officer, Incident 2) - Noir (Witness / Investigator, Incident 3) - Ss'rite Ketriss (Witness / Arresting Officer, Incident 3) Time of Incident: Real time: 19:32 GMT+1 - 23:45 GMT+1 Location of Incident: Chaplains Office (Incident 1), Cargo (Incident 1), Bar (Incident 2) Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury [x]Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment []Assault [x]Misconduct [x]Other: Distribution of Narcotics Overview of the Incident: The first Incident Mr. Lazarski was involved in happened in the chaplains office. According to the chaplain and the janitor, Mr. Lazarski (Assigned as Security Cadet) used the present code blue to gain entry into the chaplains office, while the chaplain was talking to the janitor. Mr. Lazarski repeatedly made racial comments towards them, even after they informed him that his conduct is not becoming of a security cadet. He proceeded to "search" the chaplain and removed his cane after the search. He however did not notice, inquired about or confiscated the spear the janitor was wearing at the time. When asked by the chaplain why he removed his cane, he mentioned something like "that he can do it because he is security" After this incident has been reported to me, I inquired with security where Mr. Lazarski is. The stationbound security unit informed me, that he is currently in mining stealing diamonds. Detective Tylor, Officer Kasperi and myself went to the scene as soon as possible. The stationbound unit has bolted the access door to mining to prevent his escape from the area. As we arrived, I saw him smashing down the window in an attempt to return to stolen goods in time before our arrival. I ordered the officer to search him and without surprise the officer found the diamons on him. The cadet then claimed that the stationbound unit planted the diamond sheets on him and that the AI was rouge and he entered cargo to investigate it. Due to the fact that stationbound security units are physically unable to place diamonds in someone's backpack, I immediately dismissed his attempt to wiggle out of the situation and ordered his detainment for: Two counts of theft (He stole the chaplains cane and diamonds from cargo) Exceeding of official powers (He used his position as security cadet and the code blue to gain access into places and steal various items from employees) Vandalism (Smashing in a Window in an attempt to return the stolen goods before he is discovered) In addition to these charges, he has been suspended for the remainder of the shift (about 5 minutes before the shuttle arrived on the station) The next shift, he was assigned as bartender About 30 minutes into the shift, he started to announce that everyone that visits the bar will receive illegal drugs in addition to their order. I asked detective Noir to investigate this and then followed up with a search warrant. The search has been performed by Officer Ss'rite Ketriss, who found the drugs within his backroom He has been detained and requested to appeal his case to me. During his appeal he mentioned that the pill bottle (Labeled Highly Illegal Pills) were not his and were planted by the officer. The detective had already confirmed that they contain space drugs and sugar. He also mentioned that he never touched them, however the detective presented a fingerprint card taken from the pill bottle with his prints on it. Due to him announcing the distribution of Narcotics over coms and actually distributing Narcotics he has been suspended for the remainder of the shift. In addition, the bar Pet, PunPun has been found crushed in the crusher. A investigation into this matter uncovered that the janitors prints were also located on the pill bottle. Initially the bartender and the janitor claimed that the bartender has sold the bar monkey for money (and claimed that he has a receipt for it) to the janitor, but the accounts terminal showed no withdrawals or depositions on the bartenders or janitors account and the search for the bar and the bartender uncovered no money on the bartender or in the bar. Which led us to believe, that the janitor has found the pill bottle in maint, sold it to the bartender for the bar monkey and then used the bar monkey to test the effects of the crusher on living beings. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No IAA Present Actions taken: Detainment by security, Suspension (Both Incidents) Additional notes: His constant abuse of his power and violation of regulations, attempts to lie himself out of any situation to avoid punishment (even when presented with proper evidence), hostile attitude towards other species and ineffectiveness of traditional punishments forced me to file this report with CCIA. I do not believe that there is any action or punishment that could be applied stationside to correct his behaviour.

I´ve read through the post again and noticed, that you mostly mention issues. I´d be interested in what you think should be done to solve the mentioned issues.

Summon Bats / Bears has gotten a buff recently in dev. There wont be another buff until these changes are live and there is still a need to change that. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/3348
-
Edit: Wrong Topic
-
The damage of frag grenades has been reduced in dev about two weeks ago. Further reductions will not happen until these changes are live. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/3322 Therefore voting for dismissal

The AI moving to storage and a new one being downloaded into the core already has its own announcement afaik.
-
If you intent this to be a new species, then as per current policy the mechanics of that species need to be completely different to warrant the addition of a new species (and even then its no guarantee) or a existing species needs to be retired.

As pointed out already. Please stick to the rule of 1 suggestion per topic. Regarding the suggestion. I am not a huge fan of it. It might work, but it can get very lonely if you are in a department with just a few staff members. While going out to meet others is a nice thought, it doesnt solve the issue that you are here to perform a job. In addition, certain antags need a common channel. If you think about raiders / mercs that took a hostage. While they might be able to just communicate that directly over the command frequency, it just restricts another part of the gameplay to "command only". I really loved the rounds where the antags took a few hostages and had the crew hold a vote who should be killed an who should live. (I think they even set up a video livestream of it to the bar entertainment monitors) Stuff like that would no longer be possible. Having said all that, I would support a heavier enforcement of "common channel for important stuff" in game. Maybe with a easy option to block certain people from using tcoms, that are extensively spamming the common channel. But that would be something for another topic.

If a captain goes against your advice and calls ERT when its not needed, then you should ahelp them. But setting a arbitrary time limit on being able to call ERT is imho not the solution to the problem.
-
Voting for dismissal. It already requires two command staff members to get a ERT. This is enough of a restriction. I should also note that I never saw ERT being called to supplement ones security department. I.e. Mercs show up. ERT is called. ERT + Sec fight mercs It´s usually only called when most of security is taken out.

The meeting room on the surface level is almost always used by CCIA. It is rarely ever used by the captain or command staff. (Mainly because its so out of the way, which also makes it ideal for CCIA) But yes, generally I´d like to see improvements made to the captains office. Maybe swap it with the command meeting room on the main level ?

[2 Dismissals; Archive: 08.09] Job: Command Assistant
Arrow768 replied to Butterrobber202's topic in Archive
Voting for Dismissal, as every Head of Staff can already recruit and promote personnel in their own department. (i.e. Medical Receptionist, ...) And the Captain / Command as a whole can decide to select someone as command assistant. EDIT: We also have regular command assistants on the manifest. -
At least in Autria we have equality laws forcing corps over a specific size to employ disabled people or pay a fine. So Corporations do employ disabled people, even if its just for the sake of not having to pay a fine.
-
Vetod by one of the headmin. Therefore archiving. It should be noted however that there is currently a open suggestion that adds the possibiltiy that loyalty implants get disabled by (multiple) EMPs
-
Once thats merged we should see more vampires around. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/3337 (Adds two gamemodes with vampires to mixed secret) Moving this to completed projects

As explain by OP, it only slightly limits the antags. But it will limit the unauthorized use of weapons by crew members outside of science. I very much like the idea of pins that only work on a certain alert level / under certain conditions. I also like the possibility that it is now possible to sabotage weapons almost unnoticeable to the person using them, until its too late. Therefore I completely support the addition of firing pins.
-
I´m wondering, can you dna swab a vomit puddle right now ? If that is possible I dont see much issues with adding it, cause then its easy enough to track them via ic means.
-
Afaik we do not have replicator (energy to matter conversion) technology in our lore.
-
This suggestion has been brought up quite a few times. I still feel that this would severely upset game balance because the Ai would gain camera vision aswell. A officer only needs to get a word out, and the AI could locate them instantly, inform security who the attacker is and direct them to their location. There are other issues aswell, but the AI gaining cam vision is one of the biggest

Oh, well. Now our favourite nurse is ordering atmos voidsuits even if medical has two voidsuits, a rig and a ody. When asked be the cmo why, she just said: "because we need it bP9-dfyy" Reporting Personnel: Alexander Adler Rank of Reporting Personnel: Head of Personell Game ID: bP9-dfyy Personnel Involved: - Amy Periwinkle, Paramedic (Offender) - Dragan Grgurovicm, CMO (Witness) - Alan Grimm, Warden (Witness) Time of Incident: Aprox 1 hour into the shift Real time: 01:00 GMT+1 Location of Incident: Medical Lobby, HoPs Desk Nature of Incident: [x]Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct [X]Other Failure to Execute an Order Overview of the Incident: I was just walking by the medical lobby on my way to the cargo lobby when I saw Paramedic Periwinkle approaching the medbay lobby with a burning lighter. At the time I didn't think much of it, but when she entered the lobby a fire erupted that engulfed almost the entire medbay lobby. Only due to a small wonder Periwinkle made it out without catching fire. Once it burned off, she made a comment that "now that the toxin is burned off she can return to work". I asked why she did not call engineering to deal with the toxin and she just mentioned: "that would have taken too long". I reported this incident to the CMO, who mentioned there were other complaints about her conduct and that we would approve a demotion. It should be noted that Periwinkle ordered atmospheric voidsuits earlier at cargo without consulting with the CMO. Medical at the time had 2 medical voidsuits, a rig for the paramedic and a odyseus mech. When questioned by the CMO why atmos voidsuits are required she replied "because we need them". I have received the demotion paperwork and proceeded to the brig to hand it to her and carry out the demotion. The CMO has requested a early release pending her demotion and the HoS/Warden have complied with the request. Periwinkle and myself headed to my office where I carried out the demotion to Assistant. After handing her the ID back, I asked her to turn in all the medical gear. To which she commented "no, screw you. Come and catch me." I alerted the HoS, that Periwinkle needs to be arrested yet again. She was found on the transfer shuttle, where two officers approached her and asked her to come along peacefully. Periwinkle attempted to flee out of the shuttle, but was quickly detained by the officers present. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: CMO Actions taken: Demotion Paperwork has been filed. Periwinkle fled before the demotion could be carried out fully. Additional notes: I am baffled, how a medical professional could just walk into a room filled with phoron to set fire to it in an attempt to burn it off instead of calling for engineering. It should be noted that there were 6 Engineers, 2 Atmos Techs and 2 Engineering Apprentices on station during that shift, so we had a fully staffed engineering department that could have taken care of any issue. Their actions have not only endangered themselves, but every one else present. There were multiple people at the time, some of them attempting to enter medical as she set fire in there. We were very lucky that the phoron did not spread to the main hallway, or we would have had a widespread phoron fire to the station. Again, her actions not only endangered herself, but everyone present in the main hallway at the time. I do not feel comfortable having such a reckless individual employed to take care of the health of the station personnel. When is she going to take next short-cut ? And will it result in the loss of life ?

[1 Dismissal] Loyalty implant notice and others.
Arrow768 replied to Pratepresidenten's topic in Archive
Indeed, LIs can be removed via surgery -
I was about to post here ,but forgot it. Voting for dismissal aswell. Wizards should use the abilities that they have. Their guns are their spells and staffs. They dont need actual guns. Keeping it in here due to the grace period of one week

Reporting Personnel: Paul Jonson Rank of Reporting Personnel: Captain Game ID: bP9cQL9 Personnel Involved: - Serena Johnson, Shaft Miner (Offender) Time of Incident: Aprox 1 hour into the shift Real time: 22:00 GMT+1 Location of Incident: Cargo Lobby Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct [X]Other Failure to Execute an Order Overview of the Incident: I walked by cargo lobby, when I saw Serena Johnson standing there with a real Katana around her waist (not the replcia toy) I ordered her to hand over the weapon, which she refused to do. I continued to explain to her that posession of a weapon without a weapons permit is in violation of station directives. She said that she is going to acquire a weapons permit (there was no Head of Security at the time). I said that I will hold onto the item for her until she has acquired such a weapons permit. Following that she returned into a locker full of items she somehow acquired. I saw my chance to prevent her from escaping and locked her inside of the locker after she entered it and closed it. Somehow she managed to teleport away with the locker. She has been ordered multiple times to turn herself in, but failed to do so. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No Actions taken: A stationwide announcement has been boradcasted offering a reward for information that leads to the capture of Serena Johnson. Attempts were made to detain her, but she managed to escape detainment. Additional notes: As far as I know she was turned into a thrall by a vampire a while after she teleported away in the locker. However to my knowledge during her previous actions she was not an antag.

Reporting Personnel: Paul Jonson Rank of Reporting Personnel: Captain Game ID: bP9cQL9 Personnel Involved: - Amy Periwinkle, Nurse (Offender) - Reina Aikawa, Scientist (Witness) - Kiluho Irusole, Security Officer (Witness) - Iski Ras, Paramedic (Witness) Time of Incident: Aprox 1 hour into the shift Real time: 22:00 GMT+1 Location of Incident: Xenobio Access Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct [X]Other Failure to Execute an Order Overview of the Incident: We were at the research sublevel after a power outage to investigate reports of a dangersou artifact and dispose of it. As we entered science, the medical personell present at the science entrence airlock insisted that they came a long due to the possibility of injuries We went to the sublevel and searched the xenoarecheology wing for the artifact, but could not locate it. We took position infront of the xenobiology access airlock to enter it, when Nurse Periwinkle pulled out a Stun Batton and assumed position to rush into it once the airlock opened. Nurse Periwinkle was ordered to hand over the baton, but refused to do so. Only after aiming my energy pistol at her (set to stun), she threw the baton my way. She was then ordered to vacate this area and head back to medical as we also have a EMT present that is more than capable of handling any injures that might occur. She also refused this order and insisted that she stays here, mentioning that the artifact has effected my mental condition. Even after I informed here that she will be charged with failure to execute an order if she does not leave the area immediately she insited on staying. Therefore I ordered the officer to detain her. She immediately made way to the elevator and went back to the medbay. The officer did not arrest her as we had more important things to do. I then informed the CMO of what happened. We finished the search of the research sublevel, but could not locate the incident in question. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No Actions taken: Due to various ongoing issues (power issues, ...) no further actions have been taken. Additional notes: It seems that Nurse Periwinkle is unaware of her position as a nurse and acts more like a normal doctor or paramedic than a nurse. She has adobted a very bossy attitude and even went so far to attempt to remove myself and security officers from the medbay lobby when we were taking care of a call made by someone in the medbay lobby. (There was only a cadet and a borg assigned to security at the time so I had to look into certain cases myself)
