Why not add the breacher aswell ? Thats what the spear is meant to operate with. In all seriousness: The tactical armor has been removed because it became the new antag MO to raid the armory for the tactical armor. (There was even a slight trend to select diona, go for the tac armor and then start shooting) The tac armor has amazing resistance values that are only topped by the breacher afaik. Returning the tac armor is a definite no.

Not sure if its a joke or serious. Supporting the vote for dismissal anyway

I disagree with the HUD Icon, its not something that is that obviously noticeable for your mob. All the other stuff we have hud icons for is extremely obvious (heat, cold, vacuum, phoron). Where as brain damage (impaired mental functions) is not something someone suffering from that will easily recognize as such (especially if they have "brain damage") Example for the above: 50% BMW drivers on the road However I really like the suggestions presented by Pratepresidenten

The chemcartridges should all be available since this morning (GMT)

I really like that revs have the option to send their own announcements, because it can make a round interesting, but please dont blindly approve everything they send as valid. Here are some examples from two rounds in the past days: Round 1: The first announcement ordered us to ship off any lethal weapons and ammunition to aid the PRA against the war on Adhomai. We faxed central and raised our concerns that we wish to keep back a small stockpile of weapons in case we have spiders / carp. CCIA responded that this and all future announcements are to be considered valid orders. Shortly after a second announcement has been made which allowed us to keep a small stockpile of weapons in the armory until research has produced new weapons. Then we are to store a few of them in the armory and ship off the rest to central. Aside from the first announcement being somewhat questionable there was no issue with the orders up to that point and they were carried out. By the time the third announcement has been made we have shipped of the entire contents of the armory and 2 lawgivers, 7 AEGs and 2 Vaurca Blasters. The third announcement mentioned that as we were not following the previous orders, the research department is to be shut down and personnel is to be trained for combat and then prepared to be shipped off to Adhomai. That there is complete bullshit. Suggesting that a company can train and send its employees to fight in a war on some planet they have no affiliation with is really stretching the boundaries of what is possible. The IA Agent on board confirmed that these orders would only be possible for PRA Citizens, so command staff is put into a difficult position. On one hand side they have ccia telling them that all announcements are valid. On the other hand side there are the orders that have been verified by IA as illegal (for almost all crew members) and go completely against common sense (why would NT train its personnel on a research station for combat in some war, when they have a military division for that). Something that might be slightly of interest: The first announcement has been reused from another rev round that happened a day before this one. Round 2: The first announcement ordered the pay of Synthetic Crew members to be cut by 50% The second announcement ordered the pay of the Xeno Crew to be cut by 50% and the pay of Xeno Command Staff to be cut by 70% The third announcement ordered the saving accounts of all crew members to be emptied and another budget cut of 50% So that leaves synthetics with 25% of they pay, Xenos with 25% of their pay and xeno command staff with 15% of their pay. All while their saving accounts have been emptied. The issue here is the last announcement that ordered the saving accounts of the crew to be emptied. Just a few days ago CCIA confirmed that the company can not touch the saving accounts of the crew members (not even if they are suspended) As crew members were already calling for a armed rebellion when the third announcement hit and due to the savings part being clearly illegal it has not been carried out. However, CCIA again ordered it to be carried out. These are just two examples of a absolutely unlevel playing field. One side can dictate the terms for the other side and CCIA just waves even the most ridiculous announcements through and orders them to be carried out. I appreciate that revs can make their own announcements, but they should be at least somewhat believable and not completely stupid as these two examples above. I see three options to solve that: If revs make such announcements then these are voided by ccia and not waived through The announcements are turned into a two step process, where revs submit them and admins or ccia have to approve them before they get broadcasted The announcers are removed from the rev loadout and they have to ahelp again if they want to have a announcement And for the revs: Please think of something other than the standard budget cut. I feel that at least half of the rev rounds are based on budget cuts or forced labor in the mines.

Well, while these stats were correct at the time for the intended purpose, they cant be used here. Simply because they only say something about the number of rounds there has been a HoP or QM. They dont mention anything about the number of rounds there has been a captain. So if there are 100 rounds and there is no captain in 99 of them the stats mentioned above are still correct. Therefore they are irrelevant for the current discussion.

PoZe is working on it.

If its used properly then I could see it being used for some interesting gimicks that further reinforce the story the antag wants to tell. However, it leaves the potential for abuse (but that has already been addressed in the topic and can be resolved with admin intervention.) Regarding the "greater ss13 culture" Well, in my opinion the wizard spell words are not that important to the greater culture on the server so they can not be replaced. Ideally the implementation would be a verb that can be called, if you want to change your words. If you dont call it (within the first x minutes), then your words wont be changed and they will remain the ones that we currently have for the rest of the round.

https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/3937 Pacmandevil feel free to continue to rework it. -
Well, I am not too sure about that. Adding that would be a enormous buff to anyone that doesnt want to be watched. It doesnt trigger any alarms. Its readily available. It can be applied in mass very easily. There would need to be usage limit added to the tape, similar to other resources.

[2 Dismissal: Archived]Remove powernet failure event
Arrow768 replied to ajstorey456's topic in Archive
Voting for dismissal. As mentioned before, if we remove all the events, because some people might die and it might be a inconvenience then we will be out of events shortly. -
Well, there were plans to add mobs and environmental dangers to the astroid, but the dev responsible for new mining resigned before completing the second part.

I cant seem to find any pull requests on github with your byond username. Do you have a different username on github ? -
If I understand it correctly, the suggestion here is that all the combat logs, even the ones that someone has seen are stored somewhere in a easy to access place. LordFowl is somewhat correct. The logs caused by someone or those that effected someone are stored in a variable already. However the ones that a mob has seen are not. I am not too sure about that suggestion. If you want to rp your char to remember what exactly has happened then you can either remember yourself when it happened or scroll up and search the logs. However, in my opinion giving the option to easily see all the attack logs that happened would lead to more low-rp situations where more and more chars have perfect recall of how attacked them when. I do prefer the current solution, where its not immediately visible to the player when they were attacked by whom. It it gives a soft encouragement to be ambiguous when recalling events that happened in a tense situation.

Voting for dismissal aswell. If you want additional items, you can always go and ask cargo. While cargo might not be able to print maglights using the lathe, the can print flashlights which are sufficient

[1 Dismissal]Revert Cargo to Improve New System Off the Server
Arrow768 replied to AllyBearsley's topic in Archive
So your points are: Some items are missing Prices are off The gui could use more features The first two things are config issues and not code issues. As for the gui. Make a suggestion outlining what you want. Therefore voting for dismissal. -
Suspension generators also do not fit in crates, but we can order those! Code can make it work. Not sure if you have even read my post. I explicitly said that it is doable.

Voting for dismissal aswell. You shouldnt be able to rely that there will be a merchant.

One problem with the ATMs spewing out money is that we would have to track how much money is in a ATM and add in a mechanic to refill the ATMs with money if they run out. So its not as simple as it seems at first. But its a interesting idea.

Not sure where you get that data from. The server tells me something else. If you want to make an argument based on costs. Please make sure that your data is accurate before posting it.
