  1. Sorry for the delay on this. A rather unforgiving week in terms of real life responsibilities. Expect some form of resolution today or tomorrow.
  2. I hate everything.

  3. @Spider I need you to clarify a few things. 1- While presently it may be allowed to order other department members around, I do wonder why neglect of duty was added as a charge? Does your character have experience in the supply department? Do they have the necessary background information like a Head of Personnel? I don't think neglect of duty is a charge that can really be charged like that without insight, as it requires an individual(s) with the background to determine it, which is mentioned in the regulation itself. "This can be due to honest or dishonest mistakes that the Head of the Department feels hampers Department productivity. Examples include scientists/engineers releasing phoron or causing a breach, doctors mixing up medicines that cause injury to patients, or the Warden not doing his job. Additionally, a member of Command may only be charged with Neglect of Duty with the agreement of the Captain, or through a Captain level decision passed by the Command Staff." 2- Related to the above, you immediately went to detain a person outside the chain of command, despite a Head of Personnel and Captain being present. Why didn't you bring this up with them? 3- Did you ever try to explain why you gave the order to remove the hostiles brain?
  4. This won't change much. Directive two will be officially used more. I just think QM's should not face repercussions from command staff barring the HoP/Captain if they refuse cargo orders. It's effectively their prerogative to accept or deny orders. Perhaps the only exceptions is if they refused to grant orders for items on code red.
  5. I feel your story is lacking. It can be summarized that a Skrell was born during bad times, decided to fight robots, got saved, time passed, robots left, became CE. Beyond Skrell disliking robots, I don't really see much. I'd suggest you rewrite it to actually show characteristics of this character beyond robots being bad.
  6. I can't really think of any questions to give you as your application and your replies to questions give a comprehensive insight to many aspects. A suggestion I have is that you do have a job within science, as xenoarcheology, coupled with you playing as a visitor for your more specific research. I find that keeping a single job plus the visitor role tends to make the character experience more smooth. Visitor as well is a role with zero obligations, so you can do your observations at leisure. Lastly, as a player, I believe I do recall you from a few years back, and what I recall includes nothing bad. You don't have any outstanding ooc issues that come to mind. You get my deputy stamp of support.
  7. Handling this. A number of people had their comments removed and/or warned by staff. Do not post unless involved, I do not want a dog pile on either side. I am perfectly capable of asking questions on aspects of this complaint I'm not familiar with.
  8. The head of security cap is already armored, so the argument that head of security shouldn't have helmets falls a bit short in my eyes. Giving a second option in the form of a helmet is not an issue considering they have different options for different item slots, so why not the head slot?
  9. We've discovered unacceptable behavior by a number of people after reviewing logs. Punishment was dealt out. Hopefully there will be no repeats. Locking and archiving in 24 hours.
  10. Before I start this post with anything in particular, I want to clarify something. Reviewing the logs and witness testimonies, it is very clear that the round was a hectic one with varying perspectives on different situations. So a few things were already handled during the round, I'll go over them still to clarify. 1- There was an adminhelp regarding Directive 2. Alberyk did take this ticket and corrected Outboard on it. I don't have much to add beyond what's already been said. 2- While a adminhelp did coincide to be before medical was called in, they didn't actually need to be nudged by staff to call them. Considering the nature of the round, I have no reason to doubt that the delay is attributed how hectic it was and not malice. However, hectic or not, the logs does show that it is very likely Juan spent a good amount of time around Walker, the injured, that by all intents they should have noticed this and acted appropriately. The excuse of micromanagement does not really fly when a person is gasping and coughing blood and asking for air all in your presence, the circumstances you are in determine priority. Having a conversation while a detainee is suffering in your proximity is not very believable, regardless of how you spin be it your characters hatred to the detainee or a lack of empathy. To sum it up, you as a player need to keep track of whats happening around you, not asking you to be omnipotent about everything, but you do at the very least be aware of your characters surrounding. The logs on this are distinct and you shouldn't tunnel vision. 3- The adminhelp regarding the prison timer is as follows. Coincidentally Juan also did try to get you processed, I can understand why the belief they had to be spoken to came from but they did try to move this on their own volition. However, there is a some issue. There does seem to be a misunderstanding of prison sentences. Corporate regulation is very clear about prisoner timers, in that a standard prison sentence is static unless stated otherwise, the minimum aspect of timers only applied to repeat offenses, which from what I gather, is not a repeat. Now onto the thing that hasn't be addressed specifically by staff. I'll sum it up with a picture. No. The vault, a high access area with defensive measures to ward off intruders and thieves does come with items of great value. Such as valuable materials, cash, hardsuits, modules and other miscellaneous valuables. Yes, some measures need to be taken in the event that intruders do try to steal, and there are many. What you don't do is have your character don their WH40k commissar hat and take same approach with issues, throwing bodies at them. There are ways to handle this, you can be a corporate zealot but a Head of Security is an individual with a background, training, experience and education to handle things professional and expertly. Employees also have value, so yes, those lowly paid security officers have value as assets to the company as well. So based on all of the above, I will be applying a severe warning with the following text. As a trained, professional and educated Head of Security, you need to place more considerations to the larger picture. In this case, you need to appropriately assess a situation before acting. Throwing almost your entire manpower without tactical or strategic thought into a unplanned attack is not characteristics a Head of Security should be exhibiting, making it unbelievable behavior. Furthermore, as a command player especially, you need to avoid applying tunnel vision to situations, the incidents in the complaint were far too many and big, so you need to pay better attention to what is happening, you can always scroll up to check on things you've missed. Keeping this up for 24 hours before archiving.
  11. You should elaborate on what the orders were. What orders they broke. How they broke them. And so on.
  12. Do you have round ID's of what isn't covered by the word "most"?
  13. I need round ID’s to look over the logs. From what I gather these cited incidents occur over multiple rounds?
  14. Locking and archiving per request of OP.
  15. Though I’d revive this. Art I drew for Khaled.
  16. I’m handling this when I’m back. Expect a few days delay before I post anything major. For now, I’m going to look over the passive aggression, sarcasm and overall unpleasant attitude I’ve read in favor of hoping that any post after this has a good amount of decorum. If not, strikes will be applied even if it means you become muted from posting on the forums.
  17. Spoke to them in private. They won't ready up if their connection is not working properly or is weak. Appeal accepted and ban lifted.
  18. A follow up question I asked the other applicant. What's your stance and intentions regarding whitelists and their standards? Personally, I've been fairly heavy handed and proactive in controlling standards. A few private warnings, announcements and some edits to the wiki. Are you more lax? Reactive? Easy get and hard to lose? and etc.
  19. Compared to Paradox's app, yours is rather lacking. Guessing you just wanted it out there for people to know while you prepared your writing. Some questions. 1- Your last application, you mentioned wanting to push Glorsh back by some time. In general and as a deputy, I'm highly opposed to any shifts in lore that would affect character concepts and backgrounds. This will especially affect some of the older skrell characters that are actually old enough to have been from a time during the whole oppression timeline. Is this still your opinion on the matter? 2- What's your stance and intentions regarding whitelists and their standards? I've been fairly heavy handed and proactive in controlling standards. Personally, I've been fairly heavy handed and proactive in controlling standards. A few private warnings, announcements and some edits to the wiki. Are you more lax? Reactive? Easy get and hard to lose? and etc. 3- What gripes do you have with Skrell lore as is? What other bits do you intend to change? You can ignore this question if your piece of writing will answer it, though I'd appreciate if you pointed to the bits that answered this question best.
  20. Reporting Personnel: Khaled Al-Bastaki Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Head of Security Game ID: A round of Extended has ended! [Game ID: b2K-cfJ7] Personnel Involved: (Name, Job Title: Offender/Witness/Other) - xxxInvolvedPersons - Smoke Thums, Shaft Miner: Offender Ignus Volkov, Science Contractor: Offender Clockwork, Scientist: Witness Shiki Takahashi, Detective: Investigated the incident Time of Incident: Real Time: 2000 15/08/2019 Location of Incident: Nature of Incident: [X] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [X] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [X] - Other: Sharing of classified and privileged scientific data. Threatening harm to a Nanotrasen employee. Resisting arrest and starting a manhunt. Overview of the Incident: Fax that was intended to be sent to Central Command. What follows is a collection of evidence we have acquired. Now attached is the interview with Smoke Thums. And now the paper in question, which I believe is a security breach, a sentiment shared by another researcher and my own detective. After the investigation was finalized and electing to pursue Ignus Volkov as the true offender here, we just processed and archived the evidence for record keeping. This is around when Smoke Thums decided to harass and threaten Clockwork, an employee of Nanotrasen. They seem very adamant on telling everyone of their former military experience and training, which amplify the prospect of them being a security threat. Security intervened in attempts to de-escalate the situation, transcripts to be posted below. Smoke decided to resist arrest when it was pressed and started a manhunt, allegedly trying to escape via EVA, which presented a risk of depressurization to my team who were pursuing him. Due to shift end, the systems were on lock down, disallowing us from charging them with threat of injury and resisting arrest infractions. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: I was the highest ranking member on the installation. Actions taken: 1- Investigation was done over the data security breach in addition to cataloging evidence and acquiring witness testimonies. 2- Smoke was apprehended following their attempts to evade security, but no charges were placed on record due to the system locking down for shift end. ((Round ended at that time.)) Additional Notes:
  21. Application accepted, here is why. 1- Player complaint resolved with minor administrative action that was essentially asking for a character rework. 2- No administrative action taking during your trial, both during the regular seven days and extended portion on the server itself. 3- A fair amount of people supporting this application with sound reasoning. Locking and archiving.
  22. Application accepted. Beyond what I've already said, I believe I've had a round or two with you and no red flags. Hope you enjoy it.
  23. Make sense and surgery/MD can tie in nicely with the research aspect as biochemist does touch on the research aspect of this station, maybe even collaboration with science department. I just want to emphasize that the character should avoid stepping toes on other characters being present. It's one thing to help with surgery due to no other surgeons being present and another to take surgery patients when a surgeon is around. An issue I've had with certain whitelists that I've been cracking down is people knowing too much, in that they end up able to do everything in a department or two, when the wiki states that they specialize and any extra degrees they have fall within the same type/field. I think you understand this given your history on the server but I'd like you to affirm that you understand. Other than that, your whitelist is exceptionally good from my point of view. You gave me a clear timeline of a character that if I made right now, I think I'd get it close enough to how you desired it. Informative answers, no redundancies to inflate word count and a tightly woven/interesting character story. While I won't give a verdict now, things are definitely looking up for you. I'd encourage you to advertise your application once a round in ooc to garner more feedback. You can expect a verdict within 3 days.
  24. So with the equivalency in mind, your character has the qualifications of an Medical Doctor, Surgeon and Biochemistry. What role do you intend to play them?
  25. Trial duration will be extended until the completion of the current player complaint.
