1. This isn't a whitelist issue but rather a player issue, which was resolved in the other thread. Locking and archiving.
2. Locking and archiving. My previous post illustrates everything.
3. The regulations you cited are for active duty personnel I believe, I cited the only example when a discharged servicemen is allowed to with your characters history.
4. To be honest, while not really my playstyle, Hive seems to be in the right for all these incidents, though maybe a bit rushed for the paramedic but I can understand why he did what he did from his perspective. Practically almost everyone in medical challenged him one way or another, some even with weapons, maybe not a firearm but their weapons nonetheless. I was also originally skeptical over the whole gimmick too and was not pleased, but after reviewing logs, testimonies and even a video out of Hives perspective. It seems to have evolved to him doing things a long not really out of choice. Every other loyalist or someone that he helped or declared themselves a friend to Hive has in one way or another betrayed him, usually with lethal intent as well. That's not to say he didn't try to contact anyone either, no, intact he tried to build something the loyalists could work on together from the start, instead everyone seemed to have done their own thing. There's simply far too many examples of Hive going around, talking, Interactions and while yes it was quite a murderous round, I cannot simply place any form of fault on him, infact, it's very possible I'm going to contact/note down people that I've seen simply go Rambo without proper justification here. As it stands I'm clearing Hive of any wrong doing unless more evidence or new things come to light. I'm going to outline a few things for everyone too. 1) Loyalist and Revs are generally team based antagonistic modes, while not as forced as cult, the same side should at least be cordial and establish a setting. Things can happen as the round progresses to sour relations that's fine, I'm just talking initially. In the case no one is cooperating and are playing it more like a traitor round, ahelp it. 2) self preservation rule was violated heavily here, attacking someone with your bare fists instead of attempting to preserve your life when escape vantages were there, does not really cross me as an okay thing. Again, this should've been ahelped when witnessed. 3) OOC/LOOC aggression and insults between players is really not allowed, I'm assuming staff were too busy to notice/ intervene but this is also something you should ahelp instead of returning. The short version of it, is Hive is in the clear with this complaint. When permitted, any form of murder committed by him had some form of dialogue or action to prelude it. With the exception of the medical thing really where a mob tried to lynch him, so he quickly dispatched the threats. He's in the clear in this complaint.
5. Alright, deeming this resolved with no action that a nudge to be more careful with announcements. Locking and archiving.
6. Took sometime to consider this, answer is still a no. I won't consider any new appeals in less than a month as well. Appeal denied. Locking and archiving in 24 hours unless something new is presented.
7. Just to clear this up. If you disagree with my ruling, a staff complaint is more appropriate. If you agree with my ruling, then this is the correct place. The reason I'm not accepting the appeal at this time is because I'd like to be able to go over your record over a good period of time where I've felt you've played an adequate amount of rounds without an issue. Not it's not a set amount, infact it's quite arbitrary based on the roles you played, whether you played them in full, what kind of rounds they were and etc. And the ban reason is visible. I posted it here. Your usage of murder here was something I exceptionally disagree with. There were a plethora of other options that could've stopped him from protesting that didn't involve murdering him. You rushed the whole thing.
8. I'm not really partial to removing this ban at this time, since if I'll be honest, when you have 78 entries and a sizable portion cite you as "cooperative" and "understanding" without any real improvement, it just makes me feel you do it to get the topic over and done with, in hopes of getting a lesser punishment. And I highly doubt you've really changed your behavior when it comes to rushing things since you've only had from quick glance no more than five rounds since I applied the ban, almost a month ago. The situation with the HoP was also not as time sensitive as you're trying to lead us to believe. He was no threat to you whats so ever at the time and had you properly escalated this matter, this ban wouldn't have been applied. Here is your actual antagonist ban reason. At this time, I'm not very partial of removing this ban, and the fact you haven't been permanently banned to this day is still a topic that astounds me. You play in bursts, which I'm sure you have reasons for but that isn't the issue, the issue is in those bursts in which you play, an issue always pops up which you either get some form of talking/warning/ban for. I'll leave this appeal up for at least 24 hours to see if anything else is brought here.
9. Different name, same background story.
10. Finding it hard to justify why Halstere would wear it. In fact, it's extremely disrespectful towards the service since it is also technically illegal, reason why I assume it is illegal is due to this being a law in our current times in a plethora of nations, though while not enforced in mass, it is still enforced in selective cases. Spent a few minutes looking it up and found a clause which I believe is the correct one to attribute Kalren too. There's also the fact you are wearing a service uniform that in the same year held a military occupation of the system. Sanctioned or not, Biesel relations with Sol are still rocky, even hostile to a certain extent. This is a whole new issue altogether as well, especially with the current arc pertaining to Sol servicemen living in Biesel. Senpai Jackboot can explain further. Addendum: You may note why certain character(s) of mine may act cold or dismissive towards Halstere based on my reply.
11. Based on the comment by the complaint poster, deeming this as resolved based on mutual understanding by both parties. Locking and archiving.
12. Two things. Generally applicants for a Tajara whitelist from what I understand are required to make a character from their homeworld, Adhomai. So as is, I don't think the person responsible for Tajara whitelist, that being Mofo1995 would allow it as is. You've only played around seven round with your first log in being on the 6th of this month. Your listed character also only had a single round of being a janitor with the rest being random jobs, two of which were as a station unit.
13. Instead of posting here, please post in https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=9254 with any future comments.
14. Seems to me the only real issue here was a mistake on his part not correcting the announcements, it's a common thing heads do at times as well. Considering the situation, I don't real see anything wrong with what he did. Situation called for strict measures where he gave clear and distinct orders to the crew. People refused, so he vented it to force people out of the shuttle. They still stuck around with some if not a majority went to arm up from said locker the miner brought, so he had to make a call. So again, the only real issue was a mistake with the announcements, where he failed to notice the signature of the announcement and in that happening, didn't correct it. He still however gave orders verbally to the crew. So the only issue here was an honest mistake. Considering this to be a none-issue, but a nudged will be directed to Garn to double check things in the future. I believe I did address everything here but do point out anything I haven't. I'll let this sit for at least 24 hours before I lock and archive.
15. Supporting this vote. Archiving due to meeting two votes.
16. Alright, there seems to be a bit of confusion here, I guess we could do a better job explaining it. First, an involved person is not allowed to deal with any ahelps involving themselves or that has them as an involved participant in an incident, in this case, Garn was not able to deal with the ahelp. In most cases you would be correct regarding ahelping rule breaking behavior but the issue, but the reason you were advised to make a complaint was due to the nature of staff present in this scenario. There was only a trial moderator being Doc and Garn himself present, everyone else was simply not around at the time and getting a person wouldn't been a lengthy process. So in essence, usually we'd have dealt with this thing during the round itself, but the circumstances didn't permit it. Second, even us as staff are required to speak the staff responsible to an ahelp. If I get ahelped for say, lack of escalation before a murder, I am required to speak to the staff member that took the ahelp, but I am forbidden unless in extreme cases such as being the only member to actually communicate with the one that send the adminhelp, and that's usually to tell them I'm alone but I'm calling another member of staff to come online to deal with it. Again, circumstances of the end of round and possibly lengthy process to get someone online made this complaint the best course of action. I'll also go ahead and say I'll be handling this case.
17. Fixed. You're supposed to bold the headers. An example.
18. Please fix the bold aspects of this post. It's quite painful to read.
19. A minor thing on my end. Can you clarify your activity? Seems very erratic to me, like you'd play for a bit, disappear and then play again. Rinse and repeat.
20. Schev is part of this along with Coalf.
21. If you could address this please.
22. Deeming this as resolved. Locking and archiving.
23. Appeal denied due to improper format. Feel free to make a new one following the format.
24. Gray shirts are an iconic trope of SS13. Cannot justify this suggestion. Voting for dismissal.
25. It's something we do try to enforce albeit perhaps not as much as we'd like to. We've actually recently had a discussion about this recently with emphasis on being more severe and proactive to it. We do encourage people to ahelp instances where people this occurs. I believe enforcing this mechanically would open up a lot problems as Ron highlighted. Generally I'm against adding more rules as pretty much everything is covered already, either by specifics or in spirit. Do forgive me if I somehow missed it. But aside from raising awareness and being more active in policing this sort of behavior, is there anything else you propose? On a side note. Could you send me the details of that encounter privately Kaed? I'd like to look into it.
